Investigation of the Eigenfrequency of the Bending Vibration of the Beam Clamped at Both Ends Around the Principle Directions of Inertia Based on a Single-Degree Freedom Model and a Finite Element Method Analysis
69-79Views:215In this study, we have dealt with the calculation methods of the eigenfrequencies associated with the bending vibrations of rectangular-shaped beams clamped at both ends. Said eigenfrequencies were determined analytically in the single-degree of freedom model of the beam and the case of the three-dimensional solid and three-dimensional rod models by finite element modal vibration analysis. We presented the calculation method of the characteristics of the analytical model and then calculated the eigenfrequency for a concrete example. We have described the concept of modal characteristics, and in the following, we have determined its natural frequency based on the solid-beam and rod models of the former beam. We calculated and compared the solutions belonging to the models recorded in different ways in 11 additional cases of the presented methods.

Optimization of the Sheet Metal Base of a Toggle Clamp Using Finite Element Method
266-273Views:221Optimization relates to the ultimate yield strength and the maximum stress incident on the current model under critical working conditions and finds through iterative processing a way to compensate for the strength requirement without going beyond the desired mass limits. In this paper, the horizontal sheet metal base of a horizontal toggle clamp is optimised for mass reduction using the finite element analysis in the computer aided design software. The sheet metal base material is the ANSI32 Steel. In the design software, it is designed with the thickness of 7 mm and it is intended to support a workload of up to 750 N. The constraints were a fixed point added at all the holes and at the bottom surface of the sheet metal base. A number of iterations were made for the 750N loading force across the base plate to run the simulation. For optimization, the aim was to minimize the mass of the base plate. The design parameters were Von Mises, factor of safety and displacement. The variables were the slots’ width and material thickness along the mid-surface of the sheet metal. The mass was reduced by more than thirty per cent overall.

The New Type of Employment: the Specificity of the Platform Economy and Platform Work
75-90Views:325The industry value of the global platform economy exceeded 7 trillion US dollars by the end of the second decade of the 21st century. The income generated by the platform economy in the European Union produced an almost five-fold increase in the period between 2016-2020, as its volume increased from 3 billion euros to 14 billion euros. Nevertheless, due to the lack of global consensus and precedent, the delimitation of the platform business model and work, its legal regulation and verifiability and compliance, due to its innovative nature, are unresolved at the world and European level. The objective of the article is to define the conditions, rules and practical application of the platform economy and platform work, relying on international (English-language, mostly European) secondary information, thereby revealing the problems and difficulties, as well as discussing its advantages and disadvantages.

HAZ Characterization of Automotive DP Steels by Physical Simulation
478-487Views:191DP steels were extensively used in the vehicles industry due to its extraordinary combined properties of strength, ductility, formability and weldability which contributed great significance in reducing strength to weight ratio and CO2 emission. High strength steel i.e. DP steels (3 different grades) were experimentally investigated and thermophysically simulated using Gleeble 3500 simulator to determine softening and hardening in heat affected zone. Samples were heated to different peak temperatures (1350 °C, 950 °C, 775 °C and 650 °C), two cooling time (t8.5/5 = 5 s and 30 s) and Rykalin 2D model were selected. The hardness and microstructure of the specimens were tested and analysed. For longer cooling time (t8.5/5= 30 s), we observed that softening occurs in all grade of investigated DP steels to all sub-regions. But for shorter cooling time i.e. t8.5/5= 5 s the softening is higher in intercritical HAZ compared to other sub-regions for all the types of DP steel with short cooling time (t8.5/5 = 5 s). However, the hardening zone in the CGHAZ occurs when Tmax is 1350 ºC for DP600, DP800 & DP1000 steels but it is more prominent in DP800 as compared to others two steel grade.

Why Public Sector Projects Fail or Succeed in Pakistan- A Model for Evaluating Impact of HR Management Practices on Project Success
77-90Views:352Employees are the most important assets of an organization. As quality human resources become scarce, companies need to pay more heed to the satisfaction and motivation of their employees. If employees are motivated towards work, then it is likely to yield better results. This study will examine the role of Human resource management (HRM) practices upon New product development (NPD). NPD involves technical, marketing, and financial risks organizations undertake for developing new products and services. Effective project planning and control are valuable for decision-making. The analysis of the impact of HRM practices on NPD, project success, and organizational benefit is based on data collected using a cross-sectional design via a survey questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of items related to HR practices, New product development, Project Success, and Organizational benefits adapted from previous studies. Respondents working in 10 large-scale public sector projects executed by National Database & Registration Authority, Pakistan were selected for the study. Therefore, the results of the study can be generalized to similar projects executed by the public sector in Pakistan. From the findings of data analysis, it has been concluded that there is a significant association between HR practices and project success, but no significant relationship has been established between new product development and organizational benefit. Therefore, it can be concluded that HR management practices have a significant impact on public sector project success in the case of Pakistan.

Modeling the Thermal Behavior of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
466-477Views:155The aim of this study is to present a thermal analysis of a permanent magnet synchronous machine based on finite element method. The developed model can be used to predict temperature distribution inside the studied motor during the rated operation. Electromagnetic computation is carried out with the aid of two 2D finite-element (FE) simulations on the cross-section of the PM motor. To analyse the process of heat transfer in an electrical machine, empirical correlations are used to describe the convective heat transfer from the different surfaces of the PM motor. The heat transfer coefficient is determined using dimensionless numbers and Nusselt number. After the loss calculation, the temperatures of the machine are calculated by using 3D finite element method. The results obtained by the model are compared with experimental results from testing the prototype electric motor.

Sectoral Analysis of Hungarian Professional Football Clubs - Hungarian Football Money League 2014-2016
284-296Views:748Based on the model of the Deloitte Football Money League we recreated the „Hungarian Football Money League”, which gathers and analyses the most economically powerful Hungarian football enterprises. The model gave us an oppurtunity to analyse and compare the industry to the international level. With the hungarian professional football-enterprises we assume, the most economically powerful teams play in the NB. I. (National Championship). Because of this reason we only analysed NB 1. club teams. From the 12 participating team we selected only those 9 who stayed in the League for three consecutive years. The implications from this study is that the hungarian club teams stays well below the international level, altought top level enterprises' joint economical impact is indeed significant in the hungarian sportsector.

Diagnostic Model for Supporting the Development of Health-conscious Organizational Behavior
1-18Views:357In the 21st century more and more countries of the world take the attitude that human health is not just an issue for healthcare services but for all major areas of life. Such an area for employees is the workplace. Protection of employee health and safety has for a long time been a non-transferable (objective) obligation and responsibility for employers in Europe. Connections between health and the workplace have however extended far beyond the traditional aspect of safety and health at work. Developing a health-conscious organisational behaviour means a challenge for many Hungarian companies; the model described in this study assists them in both diagnosing their current situation and choosing the appropriate course, method and tools for development.

The Location of Energy Plantations in the Sowing Structure and Its Evaluation with Linear Programming
255-269Views:118The research is examining traditional arable crops and woody plants on the basis of their marginal contribution. Calculations of income, expenditure and revenue were made on the grounds of sectoral technologies, which were the basis of the value of marginal contribution of the given sectors. As the linear programming model is quite comprehensive, we used this method for our calculations. To compile our model, we have gathered all the necessary information from farmers of the region of the Northern Great Plain. The missing data was completed from the databases of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH), Institute for Agricultural Economics Research and Information Technologies (AKII) and the Statistical Office of the European Communities (EUROSTAT). In some cases, we also used data of the Agricultural Administration Office and the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development. Our goal is to compile a 12-year production structure that suits for the characteristics of the region of the Northern Great Plain by achieving the maximum marginal contribution of a feature-farm.
