  • Exploring fintech adoption: the role of age, education and ai openness

    Views:
    139

The aim of this research was to investigate the spread of fintech innovations, particularly digital payment solutions, and the related issues of data protection. Based on the questionnaire survey, it can be concluded that younger generations are more open to innovative fintech solutions, use them more frequently, and are less concerned about potential risks and dangers. In contrast, older age groups exhibit different characteristics. The acceptance of digital solutions increases with the level of education, especially in the case of innovations such as online banking or mobile payments. However, openness to the application of artificial intelligence in finance is still in its infancy, and no significant correlation was found between educational attainment and openness to AI-based financial services. The analysis also placed strong emphasis on issues of security and trust. The results show that while age influences which payment method individuals consider the safest, education level does not have a significant effect on this perception. These findings suggest that attitudes towards innovation are influenced not only by age-related characteristics but also, in some cases, by the level of education. Overall, the research highlights a growing acceptance of digital financial solutions, particularly among young people, but it also emphasizes the ongoing importance of trust—especially from the perspective of older generations and users concerned about data protection.

In our study we would like to present the effect of adult education on the situation of women in the labour market in the subregion of Miskolc. During our research we developed several hypotheses that we proved by analysing the literature, by statistical data, and a questionnaire on this subject. Women over the age of 18, who are economically active and are living in the subregion of Miskolc were selected for the research. Altogether 200 people completed the questionnaire. We used IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and Microsoft Excel 2007 software to examine the data. The aim of our research was to prove that regarding the inhabitants of the subregion of Miskolc adult education is not effective enough to change the situation of women in the labour market. The results of the questionnaire showed the interest in adult education, but supply does not meet demand, since the state either does not support the education or the unemployed or the job-seeker cannot find a suitable education that would match her qualifications. We would like to recommend solutions for the development of this area, for the decrease of unemployment, for the improvement of the situation of women in the labour market and for increasing the efficiency of adult education.

In many countries of the world and also in Hungary many higher education institutions develop international – mainly English-taught – study programmes. Such programmes offer many benefits for the institutions and their management, their faculty, their students and their administrative staff. One is a stable and increasing income that improves the HEI’s financial stability, the stability of the institution itself and the security of jobs. Many of the benefits origin from
internationalisation. Standards and requirements are high on the international education market, the HIEs have to develop a premium education. This requires an adequate organisational framework, high-quality infrastructure and all participants must be trained. Meeting the challenge offers development opportunities and ensures high quality for all participants. Small countryside colleges in Hungary cannot increase the number of their students domestically, the only way out is international education.

This study discusses the relationship between the rural development process in Mongolia regards to its rapid urbanization issues. This paper took Arkhangai and Uvurkhangai, two similar provinces, and compared their rural development from 2013 to 2021 to understand the complex relationship between rural development and urbanization issues. A chain-based method, fixed-based method as well as per capita methods were used to get more accurate results from the comparison. The results confirmed that ongoing rural-to-urban migration due to more access of education, workplace, etc. (due to its more attractive factors) slows down the development of such factors in that rural area, putting the whole process in a cycle. As for the two provinces, the infrastructure, education, health level is all similar, but their potential economic growth is specialized in two different sectors. Arkhangai has more agricultural products due to its land and soil resources and Uvurkhangai has more potential for the tourism sector. It can be concluded that the government’s new plan of dividing the country into six regions with specialized enterprises would be a good idea for future rural development projects (previously there were only four regions existing).

The quality of communication channels in the B2B sector plays a fundamental role in determining the success of collaborations. With the rapid advancement of digitalization, it has become inevitable for higher education institutions to rethink and modernize their communication practices with business partners. The aim of our research was to map the currently used communication tools and processes, with a particular focus on how well they meet the expectations of today’s business environment and how they could be improved in the future.

Through semi-structured interviews conducted with the corporate partners of the University of Debrecen, we gained deeper insight into how inter-institutional communication works in practice, what challenges arise, and what development needs are identified by the stakeholders involved. The findings highlighted that, although existing tools are often functional, there is a clear demand for a consciously designed, innovative, and flexible communication system.

Our research is future-oriented: our goal is to formulate development proposals that support higher education institutions in building more dynamic, technologically supported, yet human-centered communication with their partners. These modern communication models could not only enhance institutional competitiveness but also provide students with more valuable and authentic networks for engaging with the business sector.

In our study, we investigated the participation of students from the University of Debrecen’s Talent Management Program (DETEP) in the Scientific Students’ Associations Conferences. The target group of our questionnaire survey consisted of students of the program who had previously participated in TDK (n=128). More talented students have multiple TDK participation. Respondents are more likely to engage in TDK participation consciously and are more likely to think about a research career if their reasons for TDK participation include the intention to apply for a PhD and to publish. Teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) has traditionally been context-driven, focusing on the special field in which the language is expected to be used; needs-responsive, trying to define language learners’ needs and adapt teaching practices to these needs; and finally learner-centred, in a sense that teaching
processes and learners activities have been highly influenced by the desired learning outcomes. However, due to recent global changes the conventional ways of teaching have been challenged. The paper lists some of the most intriguing pedagogical challenges for ESP practitioners and also recommends
possible solutions to meet them, partly from overviewing related academic literature, partly from successful practical implementations. Pedagogical issues raised by the internationalisation of higher education are also investigated by the author and some preliminary results of empirical research about learning styles are presented.
