Analysis of Disinfection Technologies that can Increase the Efficiency of Indoor Logistics Processes, which has been Reduced due to the COVID Pandemic
62-71Views:177As a result of the Coronavirus, both supply chain and internal logistics processes at factories have changed a lot. In many areas, the effectiveness of the logistics processes has declined because of the restrictions implemented against the virus. The study lists some adverse effects where logistics processes had to be modified due to the changing and protection measures against or negative effects of the virus. The authors also argue that these restrictions decreased the efficiency of logistics processes and workers' productivity. One option to increase the logistics sector's efficiency is to use air purification technologies, like the ones studied in this paper: UV-C, Bioxygen® or plasma-ion decontamination technologies. These disinfection processes can create a safe indoor environment. The authors analyse the examined technologies with SWOT analysis. The analysis results demonstrate which disinfection application is the most beneficial to help in improving indoor air quality for logistics processes.

Investigation of application and development of precision irrigation technology
239-248Views:250Due to the extreme weather conditions irrigation is nowadays considered an increasingly necessary factor. After evaluating the water requirements of the plant and the available water resources is necessary to decide what irrigation method to use. One of the most commonly used methods in field conditions is rain-type irrigation, of which there are several types (eg linear, winding drum). The uniformity of the field nozzles can be characterized by the Christiansen uniformity factor (CU%) and the distribution uniformity factor (DU%). The coefficients can be derived from the volume of water captured by the rain gauges. Our investigations were carried out in July and August 2019 at the University of Debrecen's Vision Plant Experimental Plant and at a linear irrigation equipment of a Nyírbátor company. The aim of the study was to compare the uniformity of water dispersion applied by conventional linear technology and precision linear irrigation technology. In addition we examined the intercept values of maize.

An Analytical Solution for Static Problems of Cantilever Curved Beams with Variable Cross Sections
226-233Views:145This paper gives an analytical method to obtain the deformation of a cantilever curved beam. The curved beam considered has circular centre line and the thickness of the cross section in radial direction depends on the circumferential coordinate. The kinematics of the Euler-Bernoulli beam model is used to formulate of governing equations. The curved homogeneous and isotropic elastic beam is fixed at the one of the end cross section and on the other end cross section is subjected to concentrated forces and a couple. A numerical example illustrates the applications of the derived formulae.

Risk Management Requirements in Management Systems
314-323Views:249The management system standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) contain requirements related to risk management activities. The objective of the current research is to identify the relevant risk management requirements and creating the integral risk assessment method in Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS). In my research I prepared a risk management requirement matrix, which can help the organisations to understand the relevant requirements of the three examined standards. The developed integrated risk assessment method allows the application of a common risk assessment table concerning the three standards.

An Analytical Solution for the Two-Layered Composite Beam-Column with Interlayer Slip and Constant Axial Load
14-31Views:90The authors present an analytical solution for the two-layered composite beams with imperfect shear connections. The considered beam is simply supported at both ends. The beam is subjected to transverse and axial loads. The kinematic assumptions of the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory are used. The connection of the beam components is perfect in normal direction, but the axial displacement field may have jump. The shear axial force derived from the imperfect connection is proportional to the relative slip occurring between the layers. The determination of the analytical solution is based on the Fourier method. Two examples illustrate the application of the presented analytical method.

The Role of Stocks in the Supply Chain
515-526Views:1153Az ellátási lánc teljesítményét nagymértékben befolyásolja a szereplők készleteinek összetétele, nagysága, rendelkezésre állása. A végső fogyasztókért vívott versenyben kiemelt szerepe van a kiszolgálási színvonalnak, hiszen az ellátási láncok ugyanazokért a fogyasztókért vívnak versenyt, és a fogyasztók döntése leginkább e két tényező, mint a készlet nagyága és a kiszolgálás minőségétől függ. A tanulmány a kkv-k logisztikai problémáit feltáró kutatás része, melynek célja rávilágítani a jellemző nehézségekre, és azokra a kihívásokra, amelyek legtöbbször elkerülik a logisztikai- vagy ellátási lánc vezetők figyelmét. A fejlődő kkv méretű vállalkozások versenyképessége - ami magába foglalja a költségek nagyságát is, kapcsolódva a K+F tevékenységhez vagy vállalat növekedéshez – a lekötött tőke mértékével arányosan változhat, melynek jelentős részét képezik a készletek. A kutatásban résztvevő vállalat, a Diego Kereskedelmi Kft. készletezési politikáján keresztül kerül elemzésre a készletek összetétele, illetve a velük kapcsolatos kockázatok, illetve félreértések. A tanulmány célja továbbá a helyes megoldások elősegítése, melyhez szorosan kapcsolódik (az itt tárgyalásra nem kerülő) Lean megoldások támogató szerepe.

The Situation of Digitization in the Hungarian Food Processing Industry
196-209Views:382Thanks to various technologies, such as nanotechnology, the next decades will completely transform the individual production processes and sectors. With the rapid advancement of information technology, the digitalization and automation of industrial processes pose new challenges for food business operators. Hungarian food companies will be able to keep up with their competitors and be the winners for the next decades if they can successfully adopt these technologies. However, this requires a strong focus on digitization, digital strategy, and directing investment, technology change and R&D activities in this direction. Digitization is one of the decisive directions of the future, which is why I felt it essential to study the level of digitization of Hungarian food companies, IT infrastructure and Internet usage, the use, and role of enterprise management systems, decision support and business analysis tools, and business readiness, Industry 4.0 technology change. Based on the 205 evaluable responses to the questionnaire, it can be said that only a tiny proportion of Hungarian food companies have a digital strategy and only a few have digital transformation.

Measuring the Dynamic Characteristics of Electric Motors
359-364Views:133In our previous publications [1, 2], we described our vehicle dynamics simulation program which was developed in MATLAB environment. We also discussed its use for optimizing the technical parameters of electric driven vehicles. We detailed the model and simulation of the series wound DC motor which is part of the program. Besides, we described the experimental procedure by which we can determine the electromagnetic characteristics of the motor from the input parameters of the simulation program. In the present publication we deal with the determination of the dynamic characteristics of the motor (the moment of inertia of the rotor, bearing and brush resistance torques) experimentally. Knowing the above mentioned electromagnetic and dynamic characteristics, we can carry out the simulation of the motor and the results of the simulation can be compared to the results of the test measurements.

Food Industry 4.0 Readiness in Hungary
1-12Views:306In terms of production value, the food industry is the third-largest in Hungary, the first in Hungary in terms of the number of employees, and the first in Europe in the processing industry, as well as a significant user of resources. The research examined the state of art of digitalization readiness, focusing on I4.0 technologies, which supports the management to operate more efficiently the enterprise and to make better decisions. So the focus was on integrated enterprise information systems, management support systems, business intelligence systems, industry 4.0 technologies, and issues related to their application. The analysis based on an online questionnaire survey the request sent to 4.600 enterprises, the response rate was 5% which was representative of the branches of production, covered the Hungarian food and beverage manufacturing sectors in 2019. The companies were asked the most critical technologies in development, going towards Industry 4.0. The research tools were LimeSurvey, Mailing List Server, Excel, Power BI (Desktop, Publishing Server to distribute the results). The used analysing methods were making calculations, pivot tables, models, dasboards. We found that a significant portion of businesses, 78 %, use mobile devices in the manufacturing process. The three most relevant digital technologies are geolocating (GPS, GNSS), cloud computing, and sensor technology. The current level of digitalization and integration cannot be said to be high, but respondents are very optimistic about expectations. Improvements are expected in all areas in the next 2-3 years in terms of digitalisation and integration. Vertical integration involves, first and foremost, cooperation with partners in the supply chain. Horizontal integration means close, real-time connectivity and collaboration within the company. Unfortunately, between 6% and 15% of SMEs (approximately 9% on average) and large enterprises, 36% have a digital strategy. According to the survey, the sector needs significant improvement and creating a digitalization strategy.

On the Torsional Rigidity of Orthotropic Beams with Rectangular Cross Section
25-30Views:97The paper deals with the torsional rigidity of homogenous and orthotropic beam with rectangular cross
section. The torsional rigidity of the considered beam is defined in the framework of the Saint-Venant theory of
uniform torsion. Exact and approximate solutions are given to the determination of the torsional rigidity. The shape
of cross section is determined which gives maximum value of the torsional rigidity for a given cross-sectional area.
The dependence of torsional rigidity as a function of the ratio shear moduli of beam is also studied. -
The significance of analysing potential conflicts in the sales-marketing integration
41-59Views:146Our research aims to identify the critical interfaces between sales and marketing that need to be improved in order to ensure productive cooperation. The relationship between the two departments is full of conflicts and interdependencies. The improvement of communication is of strategical importance, as it is key to staying competitive in the market. The effectiveness and quality of the sales-marketing cooperation is a key factor that is negatively affected by personal and organisational factors as well as a lack of information and conflicts. In addition to the key factors of managing the sales-marketing interfaces, we have also identified the actions that can promote their improvement, including strategic and organisational roles and responsibilities. Our empirical research results show that regular information exchange, more common and interdisciplinary meetings, and a clearly communicated and implemented corporate vision have a positive effect on the coordination and integration of the sales and marketing departments. Consequently, management is reponsible for establishing a corporate vision, i.e. a comprehensive management culture that is clearly communicated across the board in order to increase the employees’ sense of belonging. Of all elements of management culture, the most important factors are coordination and the establishment of a common strategic sysyem. All in all, corporate profit, which is of key importance to the employer, is largely dependent on the successful integration of the sales and marketing departments, which can be achieved through the implementation of the above factors.

Evolution of Lean Management and the Organizational Learning
251-259Views:643In industry, service and public sector lean approach is gaining ground. However, there is a significant difference between the organizations applying lean concept in case of their lean transformation maturity level as well as their lessons learned. There is a huge variety of methods and techniques which can be used but there are two conditions in case of every organization regardless their sector or their lean maturity level which determine the success of their lean development: lean approach leader and learning organization. Lean leadership is not based on a particular sector or method and a ready-made lean organization is not needed either. The concept of the top management has a huge effect on the characteristics of theorganization but whether the will of the management is enough for the complete transformation or not is the question. Is the target the lean organization itself or how a unit of an organization or the whole organization can react to the change of the environment? The attitudes and behaviors of lean approach leadership can be applied every day, everywhere and support the aim of creating a real lean organization.
