Vocational Teacher Training is a small but important element of the regional industrial development. Nowadays the state-of-the-art industrial organisations and processes generate new jobs and positions, and additionally, need new competences. To be able to establish the successful carrier of young professionals these requirements have to be taken into consideration. Teacher Training Programmes of Universities provide new generations of Teachers of Engineering and their approach will determine the nature of the teaching process at VET (Vocational Education and Training) schools. Universities have to adapt to the current requirements of the industry and have to support VET with updated curriculums and training methods.

  • The Analysis of the Seasonal Changes of Microbial Communities in the Activated Sludge of Small and Large Wastewater Treatment Plants

In our research the seasonal changes of the microbial communities in the activated sludge of one large and two small wastewater treatment plants are observed and analysed. During the research, 14 months of data were processed. After the sample analysis and data processing, the research revealed the efficiency of the ecological system, and also showed the seasonal changes of the community structures. The results of the statistical analysis show, that the seasonality is less observable in the case of the larger system. Presumably, the larger bioreactors have more stable microbial composition. In addition, we searched for more connections between the components of the ecological system, the changing in the weather, and also in the efficiency in the process for treating wastewater.

The aims of companies to understand internal and external customer demands in order to improve their existing products and develop new ones. Product development aims at understanding customer demands that may influence the production of the product to be manufactured. As a first step in the process, the customer voice method was used to define demands with measurable parameters. A questionnaire survey was used to prioritise them, which were then compared and ranked using a preference matrix. Within the QFD method, technical parameters influencing the satisfaction of customer demands were determined. A correlation matrix was established and the relationship between the technical parameters was investigated. A competition analysis of technical parameters and customer demands was carried out. From the absolute and relative weights, it is easy to establish the order of the technical parameters, so that the most important parameter in terms of meeting the defined customer demands is the determination of the ratio of raw materials, and important parameters are chemical stability, pharmaceutical formulation and particle size.

  • PDCA – How does the Organization Learn?

An organisation (whether it is in the private or in the public sector)knows where it is headed, it has a vision. To achieve this vision the organisation can have a strategy beforehand or the vision can be the result of a continuously improving strategy. The strategy can be developed according to the earlier routines or in a totally new way. Many times failures help to find a solution better than the chain of successes. The lessons learned should inevitably be part of the following cycles otherwise the same issues rise again and again which finally ends in exasperation and giving up. When we create a learning process it is easier to focus on avoiding the obstacles than motivation. PDCA is a well-known method for it but what prevents us from applying it the proper way? What are the obstacles that prevent the organisation from developing through its learning processes?

  • Study on Nonlinear Behavior of Variable Thickness Plates

    Views:
    37

The analysis of variable-thickness plates is much more complicated than that of uniform-thickness plates because variable coefficients occur in the equations. In reality, this analysis is of great interest in various engineering disciplines, such as civil engineering, aerospace engineering, machine design, and so on. Although there is extensive literature on analyses of plates with constant thickness, a rather limited amount of technical literature is available on the solutions to problems dealing with plates with nonuniform thickness. The reason is that the analytical solutions meet insurmountable difficulties. Besides, the nonlinear analysis process also faces more difficulties than the linear analysis of structures. For these reasons, the nonlinear behavior of variable-thickness plates based on a finite element procedure is presented in this study. Although the topic is not special, it will help the engineer have a specific view of the nonlinear bending of the plate with variable thickness. This survey will be based on the change in geometrical parameters. Numerical solutions are then presented to verify the simplicity of this proposed procedure.

We have not only implemented a unique layout and workflow), but also added new features to the system. This means using two control units, one of which is responsible for controlling the process, while the other is managing a web interface. On the web interface, you can see the warehouse containing the finished workpieces and order palettes assembled from different workpieces, or you can set the type and quantity of workpieces to be stored in the warehouse

  • Parameter Estimation of Drag Coefficient and Rolling Resistance of Vehicles Based on GPS Speed Data
    109-115
    Views:
    145

In this paper, a parameter estimation method of the model-based design approach is applied to estimate the drag coefficient and the rolling resistance coefficient of a vehicle. In fact, a constant-force parameter (c_const) and a velocity-square-force parameter (c_square) are in the vehicle model, and these result in the sum force applied along the translational DOF that models the vehicle. It is only an assumption that the constant force is the rolling resistance and the force proportional to the square of the velocity is the drag force of the air. Only GPS speed data is used for the estimation process. The conclusion is that parameter estimation is a good alternative when expensive measurement devices are not available to measure the force losses separately and directly.

There is a great concern about utilizing different waste materials all over the world. Stockpiling in landfills is not a final solution, therefore researchers try to find alternative methods to utilize these materials [1-5]. One potential area may be road construction. Fillers are one of the most important components of asphalt pavements. It has a dual role. First of all, these fine grained mineral materials (d<0.063 mm) enhance the cohesion with bitumen. Second is to fill the gaps between the particles to produce more compact mixture [6]. The aim of this research is to reveal the possibility of utilization of aluminum dross as a potential asphalt filler. This material, which is a by-product of aluminum casting process, is produced in large quantities year by year and its storage in landfills is not a proper solution. Therefore, there is an increasing demand to utilize this material. During the research material structural tests were made, which can characterize the samples (limestone powder, dross), and the cohesion between bitumen and filler can also reveal. Particle size distribution, BET specific surface area and porosity were investigated. Scanning electron micrographs were taken and oil adsorption test were also made.

  • New Method for Dynamic Tribological Test of Engineering Polymers

In this article, tribological tests of Polyamide 6 (PA 6), Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW PE) and Polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM C) by a new testing method is introduced. The tribometer used in the test is capable for pin-on-disc measuring within all possible layout known in tribology practice, otherwise can be modified into special model of fatigue sliding test. The pin was a specimen made from examined materials, always in contact with a rotating metal disc under a normal load, which is usually static. However, since vibration exists in every practical scene as an important phenomenon, for instance in turning process, we added vibration load into the test. The supplement load is generated by a special-designed vibrating machine. Then properties of examined materials can be studied more profoundly under vibration load. As a result, different value of friction coefficient in static and vibration load have been discovered and taken into comparison.

In the changed labor market structure in the context of economic growth in Hungary, the reintegration of displaced and increasingly differentiated groups into the world of work has become an indispensable necessity, with alternative initiatives aimed at long-term profit maximization. Nonprofit economic companies replacing former public benefit companies not only determine the revenues of the whole nonprofit sector in their operations, their work goes beyond this, as most of them are engaged in socially marginalized, disadvantaged, or even disabled people, and can do other work to improve employability and employment. The aim of my study was to process the latest statistical database of the nonprofit sector issued by the KSH in order to determine the role of nonprofit economic companies in employment, by appying secondary analysis.

Globalisation is a complex and worldwide process overarching historical times and continents. However the phenomenon brought efficiency and new opportunities to companies, providing practically free access to raw materials, labour and knowledge, it also caused negative effects like the degradation of the biosphere, greater social and economic inequality especially in the developing countries. There are some companies operating worldwide which have acquired great economic power and influence. and governments have only limited possibilities (if any) to regulate their operation. The expenses of profit maximisation are high, which are often ‘paid’ by the socialnatural environment (as externalities) and/or by humans. The aim of our study is to overview how current business relations could be formed to be more „human friendly”. The research is done from a Christian philosophy point of view, focusing on the employees as the major stakeholder group of the comanies. As part of the study some practical examples and Hungarian organisations related to this topic are introduced in order to highlight the relevance of the topic.

Information security (namely, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business-related data) is an issue which companies attach increasing importance nowadays. This is, however, not a self-centred goal to achieve, but an (additional) means businesses use to work towards security in their overall operations. In addition to briefly presenting two case studies on information security practices, this paper offers a survey of terms and management practices linked with process security. Business continuity planning and risk management techniques - as outlined here in connection with information protection controls - may cover all business processes at any company.

Nowadays, we can observe an increasing trend in the spread of non-communicable diseases. It is important to highlight the social factors that negatively affect health. Determinants includes income, education and the research-relevant working and living conditions. From a labor market perspective, unemployment and poor working conditions are a significant responsibility for the deterioration of mental and physical health. Health is also affected by employment conditions. Extended working hours have been shown to be harmful to health. Poor health has generates poorer work performance, a higher rate of sick leave, and higher health care costs. My primary goals in my research was to explore the labor market impacts of workplace health promotion and guidelines for corporate health promotion. Within health promotion, physical activity has played a prominent role. I’ve been used secondary data collection during my research. I have been performed a traditional literature analysis based on domestic and international studies. My results are suggest that the workplace health promotion has more positive labor market effects than increasing productivity and reducing absenteeism and health care costs. It is important to mention that health promotion could bring benefits to both employers and employees. Regarding corporate guidelines, there is no new approach directive other than the older literature sources. thus, it may be worthwhile to develop a new and different corporate process for effective workplace health promotion.

Areas after mining or calamity are not amenable to immediate afforestation and require some adjustment. After removal of wood biomass, the rest of the residue is scattered throughout the area. To modify them, Several methods can be used to remove it. The optimal conditions for the planting environment and the subsequent adaptation process of the planting can be achieved by its mechanical, biological, chemical treatment. The basic prerequisite for a successful renewal of forests is their release from undesirable increases, in some cases from foams (trees) from mining waste. The area is also released when forest nurseries, seed plantations, etc. are established. The main purpose of the release of surfaces is to achieve the maximum throughput of the area for the machines to be moved. They wear during work. Wearing is a permanently undesirable change in the surface due to the interaction of functional surfaces or functional surface and wear medium. A tool that does not have any editing can go into a state where it can no longer be used anymore. An experiment was carried out in which 9 new teeth were placed on the rotor of the crusher and their wear patterns were observed. The article shows the progress of tool wear over time.

  • The Effect of Sizes of the Cast Polyamide 6 Rods upon Tensile-Impact Strength

We have studied the tensile-impact strength of the magnesium catalysed cast polyamide 6 (PA6) rods according to the EN ISO 8256:2004 standard. The purpose of our investigation was to follow: the mechanical properties of rods are mapped beside same casting technological process in case of different diameters. We have compared the received results with each other than have sought disparities. We examined cylindrical product (rod) in seven dimensional steps in diameter ranging from 40 mm to 300 mm. We have determined that the semi-finished products can be divided into two groups typically in case of their tensile-impact strengths in this size range. The tensile-impact strength is higher in case of the rods with a diameter of less than 100 mm and it is smaller in the larger dimension range. Therefore, the smallest tensile-impact strength can be established in case of the natural semifinished PA6 rods that each rod accomplishes independently of size. However, a range can be determined, which the tensile-impact strength values of product are separated according to the manufacturing size

The concept of function is fundamental importance to the mathematics. Since the most mathematical concept is not acquired in one step [13], thus we have to take a long journey for developing of the function concept. One of the aim of this process to develop an effective concept image which have an important role in problem solution. The students decides on the basis of a concept image whether a given mathematical object is an example or nonexample of the concept. (Vinner & Dreyfus, 1989). In this paper we are looking for the answer of the following question: what are the concept image of the function concept formed of the students by the end of the primary school (8th grade) and the first year engineering university students?

3D printing is an increasingly widespread manufacturing process. With the development of machines and materials, the technology is becoming more accessible and easier to use. However, the technology's specificities mean that it requires knowledge of manufacturing technology. In some cases, it is necessary to solidify the freshly deposited layers as soon as possible in the event of large overhangs. This can be achieved by active cooling, which in turn can affect the material properties of the part. This research investigates the effects of active cooling during production.

Under establishment, we mean the process that results in the creation of a new unit (eg factory, plant, office, etc.), a workplace or an existing one what will be renewed, expanded or restructured, or installed; installed on a machine, plant, appliance, whether or not for productive or non-productive purposes. It is generally true that the design, construction, use and subsequent operation of workplaces, facilities, technology, materials, energy, personal protective equipment; production, distribution, import, transportation, movement, use and use of workplaces; in the absence of these, the requirements of the scientific-technical standard can be expected. An employer, operator, and service provider must adapt to market conditions. Accordingly, it should monitor the expectations of customers, business partners, market changes, trends to adapt to expectations, and therefore constantly develop their products, services, produce reliable quality, ensure that quality meets the market expectations providing personal and material conditions to ensure that employees can effectively and safely meet market expectations. The recognized business perception of the employer is to accomplish the above, the objectives to be achieved must be formulated, priority should be given to the potential risks (with particular regard to occupational safety risks) to be measured, measures to be taken to ensure effectiveness, short-, medium- and long-term planning, investment.
