    The student expectation in university is one of the crucial issues a university must address. The anticipation of students had a connection with students' satisfaction and engagement in higher education. This study was qualitative research, specifically in mind mapping analysis. The instrument was two forms of mind mapping by students (before and after coming to Hungary). This study’s participants were nine international students who currently study in Hungary. It was found that international students' mind mapping, type of mind mapping, and outline of general mind mapping of students’ expectations had similarities and differences.

       The reality of the child's life is through bodily experience. The early-motion reflex correction program builds on body experiences. It is very important for the body to move consciously, feelings, body experiences, and feedback are important. According to Fodorné, it is not generally necessary to provide an ingenious environment but to develop sound stimulation programs during motion development. Progress should be considered in a dynamic system approach. The system is part of the whole personality of the child, physical and mental abilities, personal and physical environments, etc. The absence, multitude, excess, and unpredictable imbalance of the stimulus can have consequences. The theories of phenomenological thinkers, neuroscience, INPP movement, and psychology research are analyzed.

  • THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL-TEACHING IN THE REFLECTION OF THE CONTEMPORARY TABLOID PRESS AT THE DAWN OF THE 1930S

    The pedagogue's ethos and the process of professionalization of elementary school teaching in the early 1930s already have serious literature, but it's also interesting to examine the underestimated expertise of the era in other aspects. The goal of our research was to analyze the contents of two tabloids which had the largest reading camps in the first half of the 30s on the subject of teaching. Following the American-style tabloid traditions, 'Az Est' was a politically independent journal that tried to inform and entertain its readers as a market leader with an outstandingly large and qualitative correspondent network. The ’8 Órai Újság’ – founded in 1915 – defined itself as a tabloid close to the government. It identified itself especially as the concurrency of "Az Est". Both of these had remarkable readership therefore their opinion-shaper, conversation-creates power is indisputable. Unfolding the quality of their professional content, which are focusing on primary education, pedagogues, and their activities could be intriguing. What is the connotation of the mentioned articles, what kind of picture do they paint of the pedagogues in the eyes of the reader? We paid particular attention to reveal how do teachers and institutions working with children with disabilities appear in the papers. We hope that we can not only learn about the problems of the pedagogues, their professional successes and difficulties but also with the help of the articles we can gain insight into the political and public sentiment of the era.

  • Data-Driven Music Therapy: Application of the Model in the Development of Children with Special Educational Needs

    Data-based music therapy is associated with the name of Suzanne B. Hanser (1999), a music therapist from California, who supported the developmental effect of music with the results of her clinical research. Her publication entitled The New Music Therapist's Handbook is a guide to the organization, planning, implementation, and evaluation of this music therapy model. Since data-based music therapy is an objective, clear and goal-oriented model. There is an indispensable part of this model and basic conditions in the application of it in the precisely defined preparation, intervention and measurement moments. However, strict planning and organization become the main virtue of the model when evaluating the results achieved, as it provides accurate and irrefutable results. The data obtained this way, represent the totality of the results of observations and experiments.The main pillars of the model are the following: observation, goal-oriented planning, implementation, and objective measurement. An objective and completely clear evaluation of music therapy is provided by the measurements specified in the model. The calculation of the reliability rate and its expression as a percentage, as well as the baseline observation, are complemented by the narrative report of the music therapy supervisor with a description and evaluation of the achieved musical and non-musical therapeutic goals. This article  to present describes the application of data-based music therapy in the case of a juvenile with special educational needs studying in special educational institutions.

    The current paper aims to shed light on the problem of Roma students' school performance through the perception of teachers. We examine the phenomenon at the level of locality, relying on qualitative research methodology. The empirical data collection was carried out at the István Király Baptist Primary School in Kótaj, in the county of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, during which semi-structured interviews were recorded (N=15).

    The importance of physical activity is increasingly recognized by many people, both laymen, and professionals. Regular exercise at all ages contributes to strengthening the different dimensions of health. Ideally, physical activity is integrated into our lives from an early age, however, based on public health indicators, unfortunately, the opposite trend is to be seen in Hungary. One of the most striking features of demographic processes is the continuous increase in the number and proportion of the elderly population. In an ageing society, it is crucial to maintain good health conditions for people over 65 for the following reasons: to improve the quality of life of the individual, to reduce health expenditures, and because of the inevitably increased number of elderly in the labour market. National demographic changes are just as characteristic in Hajdúböszörmény, so it is worth examining the components of the physical activity of the local population. The aim of our research is to explore the characteristics of exercising related to work, transport, household work, and leisure sports. Unfortunately, as well as the amount, the quality of the population’s time spent exercising is below international recommendations. Mapping the exercising motives of the elderly confirmed our assumption that the preservation of physical and mental health is the main drive behind the activity of the target group.

    The topic of this study is implementing a globally available, centralized knowledge base, which can be accessed and searched online via a brain interface for everyone. Our goal is to describe this plan, first analysis from the side of society. After this, we try to present how the actual form of this knowledge base was developed from the Time Begins to the present. At the end of the study, we describe two ways: the most pessimistic and the most optimistic ones, their odds, and the facts which increase the realization of odds.  This study was carried out at the University of Debrecen, in the „Time capsule 2016+20” project as part of the Program for Talented Students (DETEP) program. The supervisor is Ferenc Mező Ph.D.

  • INVESTIGATING THE WILLINGNESS TO USE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION AMONG STUDENTS OF SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

    Goal: Artificial intelligence-based systems, tools, and services have penetrated all areas of life, including education. The aim of this study is to find out the views of future special education teachers on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. Method: In research, we surveyed n= 157 students in special education teachers with a questionnaire survey. The results were evaluated by mathematical statistical analysis using SPSS software.  Within the software, cross-tabulation analysis, χ2 test, and frequency analysis were used. Results: only a very small percentage (18.5%) of the prospective special education teachers had encountered tools based on AI and applications during their previous studies. They will prefer to use AI tools outside classroom activities. There is no significant difference in the willingness to use AI in relation to age, 59.7% of those under 24 years and 65% of those over 24 years consider AI tools necessary in special needs education.  However their knowledge about AI applications, tools, and possibilities is very uncertain and limited, and therefore there is a need for a wide dissemination of AI education.

    Absolute pitch (AP), the ability to identify and produce musical pitches without a reference point, is extremely rare and is considered to be a special ability.  Although research has focused on this topic for decades, there is no consensus about why AP only occurs in 1 out of 10.000 individuals and how it is acquired.  Therefore, the present article aims to review and reconcile the previous findings in order to understand the potential contribution of training and genetics in AP acquisition.  Based on experimental psychological and genetic findings, it is concluded that although some components of AP are implicit and exist in the general population, both early musical training and genetic factors are crucial for AP development.  This conclusion is supported by neuroscientific findings that provide evidence for differences in activations in specific brain areas between AP possessors and non-possessors.

  • Nexus between Personal Factors and Practice of Self-Medication among Primary School Teachers in Oyo State, Nigeria

    The purpose of this study was to examine the nexus between personal factors and the practice of self-medication among primary school teachers in Oyo State. Five hundred participants constituted the study’s sample out of which only 476 were used after data administration. Both the independent and dependent variables were measured with validated instruments with 0.85 reliability co-efficient and the data obtained was analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) Statistical method. Two research hypotheses were formulated and tested at a 0.05 level of significance. The result showed that there was a significant relationship between poverty and the practice of self-medication among primary school teachers (r= .823; p<0.05) as well as between illiteracy and the practice of self-medication among primary school teachers (r= .643; p<0.05). The implication of this showed that poverty and illiteracy level had significant impacts on the practice of self-medication among primary school teachers. In view of these findings, it was recommended that educational stakeholders should frequently organize seminars and workshops for primary school teachers, especially in rural areas on the dangers of self-medication.

    According to the data of the census in 2011, the majority of people with disabilities live in private households, while a smaller proportion of them live in institutional care. The number of families raising a child with disabilities is over 62 thousand. Research results show that providing and caring for a family member with disabilities puts a particularly heavy burden on families. Social policy instruments play a significant role in reducing the burdens of the affected social group. The present study provides an overview of the system of social benefits and services which aids the everyday lives of persons with disabilities and their families caring for them. It presents the current types of social policy instruments which support persons with disabilities and their families caring for them. We investigate whether the currently available social policy instruments are able to promote the social participation and integration of people with disabilities and their families.

    In order to carry out effectiveness study of the development programs (e.g. education, children with special needs) based on mathematical-statistical methods, the following factors are important: 1) you need some basic mathematical definitions (Math et all., 2015), 2) a statistical software (e.g.: the ’R’) at a reasonable price, 3) some experience in working with this software. The ’R’ is free downloadable software (that can be applied in mathematical-statistical calculations too) which can be a very useful instrument of research of children who need special treatment. This paper provides a practical solution in connection with the last two factors and introduces language ’R’ and its possibilities.

    Present study focuses on the appearance of augmentative and alternative communication in kindergartens, which are supplying children with intellectual disability. The augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) makes it possible, that as a result of the injury of the sounding speech or its deficiency the individual be able to express his communicational intention in some kind of manner (Kálmán, 2006).   In my research, I examine the opinions and personal experiences about the use of AAC of special education teachers. 21 special education teachers filled out the questionnaire. All of the special education teachers are women and they work in metropolitan kindergartens. The results indicate that the majority of children with intellectual disabilities need AAC. All of the asked special education teachers use the AAC in their work. Most of them use AAC in the course of development. It’s a young discipline, so there are many difficulties with its use.

  • COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF YOUTH'S HEALTH-RISK LIFESTYLE IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF THEIR CULTURAL DIFFERENCES

    Health-related, primarily lifestyle-associated activities are increasingly emphasized in the lives of young people and their cultural communities. The aim of the research is to explore behavioral strategies that maintain health and to understand those societies and the environmental factors that predispose risk behaviors. The questionnaire includes items about demographics, lifestyle, family and school environment, and health risk factors. Participants are 280 youngsters from the 11-12th graders of Târgu-Mureş and Eger. The study was conducted in February 2011 on a stratified sample using a self-completed questionnaire method. Our results showed significant differences between the two groups in terms of life satisfaction, frequency of alcohol consumption, but also in terms of family support, school acceptance, and teachers' attitudes toward students. We found gender differences in health-related self-esteem, subjective body image, body weight control, frequency, and amount of alcohol consumption, but also in school attitudes, time spent with friends.

  • THE IMPACT OF CONTINUOUS AND DIFFERENTIATED EDUCATION FOR FORMING OF COMMUNITY ATTITUDE IN STUDENTS OF SENIOR CLASSES

    Background and objectives: In longitudinal research (2006–2010) we examined the progression of upper elementary school students’ self-assessment, self-image, attitude toward community, and change in their anxiety level in order to find out to what degree carefully planned and continuously differentiated education influence these traits of students’ behaviour. In this present study, we address the change in their attitude toward the community.   Method: We used the measurement tool developed by Hunyadyné and modified by Tóth for measuring the attitude toward the community (Appendix 1). Hypothesis: We assumed that as a result of differentiation the upper elementary school students’ attitude toward community will progress earlier and more effectively in the pilot than the control group (school community, the society; the class’ cohesion force, self-government’s role and competence, the function of public opinion, potential sociometric relation within the class, group activities). Results: The controlled and planned differentiated development made the areas of attitude toward community advance more in the pilot group than in the group going under only scarce differentiated development. We experienced significant differences in the scales of relation to the broader community, group activity, and class cohesion. Conclusions: Results justify that appropriate differentiated development has got an advantageous impact on attitude toward the community.

    In this study, we examined the correlation between gender stereotypes and career orientation amongst students. In the study, we examined if there is a connection between gender roles (masculine, feminine, androgyny), stereotypical views, and decisions during career orientation. In the research, we used online and paper-based questionnaires amongst disabled, abled, and LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) students. The received data shows that there is a link between gender roles and stereotypical views. Also regardless of population and views two-thirds of the students categorize careers strictly feminine or masculine, which propounds the need for further pedagogical work in this area.

    Our music education is based on the concept of Zoltán Kodály and the methodological guidance of Katalin Forrai in early childhood, which is an indispensable foundation and support for Hungarian music education. The method uses fundamental values to develop children's musical skills and abilities. At about the same time, music teachers throughout Europe were engaged in reforming the structure and methodological tools of music teaching. Among these music teachers, I would like to highlight the pedagogy of Dalcrose, Orff, Willems and Freinet, who successfully applied early childhood music education and the development of children with special educational needs in their programmes. Based on their pedagogy and methods, they agreed on the following principles: musical education should start as early as possible, continuous musical activity (singing, rhythm, listening, movement, improvisation, instrument, listening) should be given priority, and in addition to age-specific characteristics, adequate emphasis should be given to individual talents, since the uneven development of psychic abilities can lead to differences in levels within a single age group over several years. Music can develop empathy and social skills. Through rhythms and harmonies, the development of large and fine movements can be achieved. It is beneficial for thinking, creativity, self-expression and the development of the sense of self. Music improves well-being, concentration and actively helps to develop attention. It leads to openness and flexibility. It also has a powerful effect on speech, imagination and improvisation skills. That is why we can use music for healing and developmental purposes. There is a long line of research that proves that the earlier in life you start to develop, develop or correct your personality through music, the earlier you should start.

  • THE EXAMINATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES ABOUT THEIR VISION OF FUTURE

     Background and Objectives: the examination of the vision of the future of young people with learning disabilities it rarely comes into the focus of research (Mártonfi, 2011; Móré and Mező, 2016), though the foundation of a successful, happy life is that everyone can realize themselves according to their own goals. The present study deals with the vision of the future of young people with learning disabilities. Our aim is to find out what have life goals and prospects of young people with learning disabilities. Methods:  the participants were youngsters with learning disability attending vocational school (N=46) and their teachers (N=76), and the answers we were evaluated using SPSS, descriptive statistics, and Spearman's rank correlation. Results: The life goals of young people with learning disabilities in vocational schools have a happy life (rs = 0.43), success (rs = 0.45), and work (rs = 0.45), and starting a family is pushed into the background at this age. There is no strong correlation between young people's life goals and further education. According to the opinion of teachers, there is no significant relationship between the success of acquiring a profession and their standing in the labor market. From a life perspective, some educators consider starting a family conceivable for young people with learning disabilities.

  • RESEARCH OF CONNECTIONS BETWEEN GENDER RATIOS AND CHOICES BASED ON FELLOW FEELING IN CLASSES INTEGRATING MILD INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY CHILDREN

    In our study, the main focus has been on class communities integrating children with mild intellectual disabilities. The sample examined involved four classes, each consisting of 20 students, two of which had more boys than girls, and one had an integrated boy, while the other had an integrated girl. In the other two communities, girls were the majority, with one boy and one girl integrated in them respectively. Our aim was to observe the correlation of gender proportions and the choices of likes and dislikes. Therefore a quality-focused analysis has been performed. Sociometry has been applied as a method and data analysis has been carried out by the Smetry software. Among our results we would like to highlight that the non-reciprocal choices of likes and dislikes are more frequent in between the same gender and the need to connect with a classmate of the same or „similar” sociometric status has been realized among the students several times. The relevancy of our last supposition – that within the classes with a female majority the status of girls is worse especially if they are integrated – has been proven by striking results. The sociometric status of girls has been the least favorable in classes where the majority and the integrated student are also girls.

  • STUDENT’S ATTITUDES TOWARDS CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY

    Several studies have shown that integrated education has advantages in students’ social development and accepted attitude development (Meyer, Park, Grenot-Scheyer, Schwartz & Harry, 1998).  The studies about the integrated education had been traced for several decades, our research is based on the CATCH (Chedoke-McMaster Attitudes Towards Children with Handicaps Scale) questionnaire (Rosenbaum, 1985) which instrument had been used in several international studies as well (Tirosh, 1997; Vignes, 2008; Godeau 2010; Bosseart, 2011; De Laat, 2013, Schwab, 2017). Our major aim is to map the adolescent youth, their attitudes towards children with special treatment. The questionnaire was based on the three-component model of attitudes proposed by Triandis (1971). This 36-item, the self-administered scale was primarily paper-based, but our adaptation is placed on the online form. The participants of the study were 7th-grade students (N=99) The overall reliability of the test was satisfactory (Cronbach-α= 0,856). In the content analysis, we found two items that were significantly negative and four items which were not significant, those leaving the KMO= 0,809 (KMO>6), therefore suitable for factor analysis. The results show that, however in our sample, these three-component factors aren’t so clear, the test is reliable. There are some subtests that call for a revision, and we will need further researches to develop our assessment tool to make it more reliable and valid.

  • THE OXIPO GAME COLLECTION FOR DEVELOPING COGNITIVE ABILITIES

    This study is a presentation of the first phase of a complex research project which aims to present the theoretical background of a new game collection (based on OxIPO model). We have compiled a game collection to improve cognitive abilities in early childhood. Concerning cognitive abilities, Affolter's (1972), Sindelar's (1994) and others' earlier developmental approaches took into account visual, auditive or motoric (inter) modalities of perception, however, we believe we need a more complex model to cover the full capability. Within the framework of the OxIPO model (Mező, 2002, 2016), learning is interpreted as an information processing process. In the OxIPO model (Field, 2002, 2016), Learning = Organization x (Input + Process + Output) allows us to control and systemize not only the input modalities but also the output modalities and also to interpret some cognitive abilities in the process phase. We have created a game-collection based on six input (visual, auditive, kinesthetic, olfactory, gustatory, and tactile) modalities and five cognitive abilities (perception, attention, memory, conceptual thinking, problem-solving thinking) and three output (visual, auditive, motoric) modalities. The outcome of the six input modalities and the five target abilities and the three output modalities there are 90 different games that can be described by the OxIPO model. In the future, we would like to prove with empirical studies that this game collection can be used for testing and developing 90 independent cognitive abilities. On the other hand, we need to prove that these cognitive abilities indeed influence the daily lives of children and their effectiveness.

  • FIRST-GENERATION YOUNG PEOPLE'S CHANCES OF OBTAINING A DEGREE BASED ON A LARGE SAMPLE ANALYSIS

    Thy system of higher education can be analysed from the aspects of inequalities. The chance of attendance, the achievement, the phenomenon of drop-out, and types of training programs are approached from the students’ social background. Our analysis focuses on the chance of graduation of first-in-family people. The relatively rigid feature of Hungarian society and the lower mobility rate create a specific background for our research. Hungarian Youth Survey 2016 and 2020 databases were used during this analysis and we separated the subsample of young people between 25 and 29 (N2016= 2906, N2020=2874). We try to discover the patterns of parents’ educational reproduction, describe the features of first-in-family people, and identify those factors which can form the chance of graduation. A binary regression model was run by us in which the dependent variable was the obtaining of a degree and the list of independent variables contained socio-demographic variables (sex, type of settlement, the economic situation of the region, economic situation, parental educational level, the type of parental profession), different life events (crises, the number of children, etc.) and the identification with the parental lifestyle. With these results, we can identify such an intersectional life situation (being a woman, habitation in cities, more favourable economic situation, mother’s white collar work, medium parental educational level, without children) in which the chance of graduation is higher.

  • THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY IN EMPLOYMENT AMONG UNDERGRADUATES

    The role of the family as the arena for primary socialization is significant throughout our lives. The cultural capital, parental role models, and relationship with siblings all have a tremendous impact on academic and non-academic achievement, social networking, intra- and intergenerational embeddedness, and employment during studies. However, a change in family structure can negatively affect a child’s development, decrease his or her academic and non-academic achievement (Engler, 2016), and also causes a higher prevalence of health risk behaviours (Kovács and Nagy, 2017). In addition, due to the lower level of financial capital provided by the family, young people who have grown up in a non-intact family structure are often forced to work during their university or even high school studies to ensure their self-preservation. In our research, we examined the attitudes of the students studying at the University of Debrecen towards family and work in the light of the family structure, covering childhood storytelling experiences (BEST 2020). In addition to demographic issues, changes in family structure, childhood storytelling habits, and work-related attitudes were examined (N=159). 25.6% of the students’ parents are divorced, 24.3% grew up with their mother. 86.5% of the parents read tales in childhood, mostly (75%) every day, typically mothers. No significant difference could have been detected in childhood storytelling experiences based on family structure (p=0.322). Although the ratio of employment is higher among children of divorced parents, a significant difference is found at the beginning of employment. Based on the results, parents try to support university studies at least partly, but they are unlikely able to provide other resources that could force students to work. Based on our results, it can be stated that the role of the family in the early employment of young people is also significant, and the change in the family structure increases the proportion of employment besides university studies, which is mainly due to the family's financial situation.
