  • Efficiency of the Machining Process of Circular Shapes by Electrical Discharge Technology
    53-61
    Megtekintések száma:
    90

Due to its high machining precision, EDM technology is nowadays very important in the production of high-precision parts for various industries. The high precision of the machined surface in combination with the ability to machine circular surfaces brings, in addition to several advantages, some negatives. The most significant negative of this machining technology is the relatively low productivity as well as the overall production efficiency. The latter is affected by many accompanying phenomena. The main accompanying phenomenon that contributes to the decline in the overall economic efficiency of EDM is the microgeometry errors that occur due to the non-homogeneity of the EDM process. Another accompanying negative phenomenon is the geometric accuracy errors of the machined surface, as a consequence of systematic destruction of the wire tool electrode, faulty interpolation in its guidance, and, last but not least, its vibration. These aspects consequently lead to the requirement for multiple applications of additional finishing cuts, which significantly reduces the overall economic efficiency of the machining process. Therefore, the experimental research aimed to search for options that can effectively help to achieve higher productivity but especially the overall economic efficiency of the machining process.

  • Evaluating the Entrepreneurial Performance in South America. Case of Chile

    63

The research objective is to explore Chile's entrepreneurial landscape by assessing individual characteristics and institutional factors through a 'pillars' framework and compare it against Colombia, and Brazil; to identify socio-economic, individual, and institutional differences using the Global Entrepreneurship Index (GEI); to apply bottleneck approach to highlight areas requiring policy intervention. GEI features individual and institutional stage variables in a method where every variable collaboratively interacts, incorporating 14 foundational elements and three sub-indexes: attitudes, abilities, and aspirations. Ranking 18th on the GEI globally and the best in Latin America, Chile excels in key entrepreneurial pillars, showcasing strengths in innovation and a robust entrepreneurial culture. Brazil closely rivals Chile in competition and networking, emphasizing political and economic influence. Colombia surpasses Chile in internationalization and growth-stimulating policies but faces challenges like historical conflicts and wealth distribution. This study identified areas where immediate policy intervention may be necessary by examining Chiles's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Penalty for Bottleneck (PFB) technique identified the weakest pillars highlighting process innovation, competition, and internationalization. The primary component identified as a bottleneck for resource allocation is Process Innovation, accounting for 73% of the allocation, followed by Competition at 23%. The findings show that allocating more resources to process innovation may improve greatly the overall GEI score.

The innovation environment has changed a lot in the recent years, companies and their enterprises concentrating on product- and process innovation have undergone a lot of changes. According to GUPTA et al. (1986) product innovation is a multidisciplinary process. Although, all functional interfaces are important in the product development process, the research and development – marketing interface is one of the most difficult one. In the last two decades the incredibly fast penetration of the internet has more and more effects on the consumer attitudes. It encourages market researchers to apply such methods by which they could get as close as to the consumers to know their attitudes without taking them out of their natural habitat. In this study our aim is to concentrate on the first phase of the product innovation, which is the exploration of insights and attitudes. In this phase we can use the classical, conventional market research techniques if we want to get primary data, such as focus group interviews, questionnaires, in-depth interviews, but there are new methods as well. One of such novel methods is netnography. The biggest advantage of this research method is that the researcher can observe the consumer groups’ state of mind and decision-making mechanisms through publicly available communication sources in their natural environment. In this study it will be analysed how the directions of netnographic researches have changed by the dynamic changes of the internet. Besides, online participants’ attitudes towards healthconscious nutrition are analysed in practice. As a result of this study, special groups could be identified, which can provide a new perspective for the companies operating in this field beside the classical segmentation techniques. These groups can be the ones which draw up latent market requirements, and thus, helping the companies’ innovation processes.

Additive manufacturing (AM) is a process in which the product is composed of overlapping layers of a material that is added using devices such as 3D printers. Its process has been evolving for decades and nowadays it can be used for several applications and with different materials. One modern usage is for medical and dental purposes. Since it became possible to print metal, it has been a good solution for bone implants, once it must be done with biomaterials and can now replicate the bone structure, for that unit cells should compose the implant. Both conditions are now possible to be achieved by AM, and the current study will analyze, using finite element method, the possibilities to create specimens for tests which the final product would result in a 3D printed bone implant.

The mixing of granular materials in an agitated drum can be characterized by the dimensionless power equation. The equation was created by dimensional analysis, for which the parameters affecting the mixing power requirement were collected based on the literature. The most important of these are the rotational speed, the drum loading factor, the geometric and physical properties of the mixing drum and the granular materials.  The dimensionless power equation is used to estimate with reasonable accuracy the Power number within the given range of applicability , which has been validated by measurements. From the Power number, the mixing power requirement of the mixed granular material can be calculated, which can be used as operational data for selecting the mixing motor.

    Megtekintések száma:
    143

Die casting is a manufacturing process for producing accurately dimensioned, sharply defined, smooth or textured surface metal parts. It is accomplished by injecting liquid metal at fast velocity and under high pressure into reusable steel dies. Compared to other casting processes, die casting is at the top end of both velocity and pressure. The high velocity translates into a very turbulent flow condition. The process is often described as the shortest distance between raw material and the finished product.

Pre-fill is a process technique that is the result of significantly delaying the start of fast shot beyond the “metal at the gate” position. It can be stated as a percentage of cavity fill or as a distance beyond metal at the gate.

    A vállalati kockázatmenedzsment elméleti háttere az ISO 31000-es szabványcsomaggal és a COSO ajánlással megalapozottnak tekinthető. Vállalati körben történő alkalmazásuk azonban „helyismeretet” és szakmai tapasztalatokat igényel. A kockázatmenedzsment napjainkban jellemzően még mindig funkcionális területekhez, ill. szervezeti egységekhez kötődik (pl. logisztika, pénzügy, minőségirányítás, emberi erőforrás, IT). Ez a szemlélet a szerzők véleménye szerint gyakran párhuzamos, többszörös szabályozást eredményez a kockázatmenedzsment területén. Holisztikus szemlélettel és a vállalati folyamatok kockázati szempontú lemzésével ez elkerülhető. A tanulmány megírásának hármas célja volt;
    - a folyamat- és kockázatmenedzsment alapjainak áttekintése,
    - a folyamatok kockázatkezelésénél alkalmazható ötlet szakmai felvetése (Van-e lehetőség a folyamatokhoz rendelt erőforrások rendelkezésre állásának elemzésével az üzleti kockázat csökkentésére?),
    - a folyamatok kockázatkezelésben alkalmazható szabványok és ajánlások összegyűjtése.

  • Digitalizáció hatása a hazai kereskedelmi stratégiákra

    1386

Tanulmányunk célja, hogy feltérképezzük a digitális tér illeszkedését napjaink és a jövő kereskedelmébe és meghatározzuk a digitalizáció hatását a hazai kereskedelmi stratégiákra. A fogyasztók információszerzési és vásárlási szokásai drámaian megváltoztak. A ma fogyasztója számára elsősorban a kényelem, a hatékonyság (a termékhez való gyors, kényelmes hozzáférés a megfelelő ár-érték arányban) és az élmény jelentik azokat a kulcstényezőket, melyek alapján döntését meghozza. A kereskedők igazodva ezekhez újszerű kereskedelmi stratégiákat alakítottak ki, melyeknek szerves része a digitalizáció vívmányainak felhasználása. Ennek egyik vetülete az e-kereskedelem egyre erőteljesebb globális fejlődése. A hazai online kereskedelem is évről évre jelentősen bővül. 2018. A vásárlók kényelmét szolgálja a hagyományos üzletek eladóterének optimalizálása és a vásárlói útvonalak digitális technológiákkal (pl. digitális polccímke) való támogatása is. Az újabb innovációk a vásárlási folyamat automatizációját vonják maguk után és szenzorok (pl. Amazon Go) vagy robotok (pl. Pepper) segítségével teszik kényelmesebbé és személyre szabottabbá a vásárlási folyamatot. A digitális személyi asszisztensek az eladószemélyzet digitális változataként fognak feltűnni a jövőbeli vásárlásaink során.
