Nők és férfiak egészségmagatartása a digitális térben: tények, trendek 2021-ben és 2024-ben - reprezentatív, lakossági minta eredményei alapján
48-68Views:404Introduction: The health and illness behavior of women and men is an important area of study in the sociology of health. Digital health solutions have an impact on these phenomena as well.
Methods: Our research is based on 2 representative population-based questionnaire surveys, which were done in 2021 (n= 1500) and 2024 (n=1100) respectively. In our study we used descriptive methods to analyze online health-related information seeking behavior, digital health-related options and tools.
Results: The results show that although women continue to make a higher use of some digital health solutions such as e-prescription and telemedicine, the gap between men and women has decreased in other areas such as transferring health data, while men took the lead in smart device use. Population data for 2024 indicate that the gap between men and women in the use of health information resources has also narrowed significantly.
Summary: Our 2021 research shows a clear female dominance in both online health information searching and using digital solutions. By 2024, these differences have narrowed significantly, and digital health solutions have become part of everyday life. This is indicated by the almost 80% awareness and use of e-prescription, online appointment booking and EESZT. -
Digitális kihívások a felsőoktatásban: Az NKE oktatóinak digitális készségeinek kvantitatív vizsgálata
5-21Views:308The information society is not only transforming the process of education but also creating new positions and challenges in the labour market, and education must prepare for this. Research shows that the success of education depends mostly on teachers (Mourshed, Chijoka and Barber 2010). In this study, we investigate the digital competence of teachers at Ludovika University of Public Service (hereinafter: LUPC) (N=824). For the quantitative research, we used the DigCompEdu questionnaire. The level of digital competence of the teachers is assessed based on their own self-assessment. We assume that although their digital competences need improvement, but their motivation to use digital technologies in the classroom is positive. The instructors scored higher points in the areas of digital resource management, professional engagement and teaching & learning but they scored the lowest in the area of assessment.

A digitális egyenlőtlenség vizsgálata a társadalmi kirekesztődés szempontjából
67-81Views:912My research, which is part of a doctoral thesis, was made in Bereg the most backward subregion of Hungary in 2017. I examined the risk of poverty and social exclusion concerning the children of the age of 14 living here. I looked at this risk from a new angle, the angle of digital inequality. I looked for the answer whether the usage of the modern multi-media devices and the internet can help in the development of this subregion, the future generation will be able to meet the exigencies of the time, find a job in the digitalized labour market. Or else, the lack of these devices and the disability of using them make their position worse. I unveiled the students’ sociodemographic, socioeconomical features, the degree of the supply concerning multi-media devices, the purpose of their usage, their attributes and the factors causing digital inequality. I scrutinized the degree of ICT usage at schools, the relationship between the usage of the internet and the school achievements, the students’ relationships and their future prospects. In this article I would like to introduce the first part of my research in which I examined the socioeconomical background of the degree of supply with multimedia devices.

A rurális közegben élő szülők IKT-attitűdjei, nevelési stílusai - Az olvasóvá nevelés digitális kihívásai
22-42Views:490The present paper is a continuation of a sociological study on reading - published in 2023 (Néma, 2023c) -, in which I present the results of my research in a rural setting in Transylvania (Parajd, Harghita County), focusing on the challenges of literacy education. The study, conducted in the autumn of 2022, aimed to gain narratives from graduate mothers, using a semi-structured interview method (10 interviews) to approach their children's literacy education in the context of increased digitalisation. In order to get a handle on parental digital literacy, I captured the perception of ICT tools along parenting styles. In parallel to identifying the spatial digitalisation context, I also subjected parents' ICT perceptions by content analysis. From the set of ICT-related statements (232 opinions) extracted from the narrative, I also identify a set of references reflecting on reading to explore the reasons for the passivity towards reading - as a research goal for my PhD dissertation research, too.

Social media, telemedicine, artificial intelligence, robotization - How does the development of digital technology affect social work?
189-218Views:610The use of ICT is widespread among social workers, many of them use digital technology and social media, keep in touch with their clients online and there are more and more people consulting online. There are also automated treatments that do not require the contribution of the social worker, robots have already appeared abroad in elderly care, use algorithms to prevent child abuse and suicide, and virtual reality in the treatment of addicts. How does all this affect social work as a profession, what professional and ethical issues does the use of technology raise? What kind of new skills do social workers need and how should they reinterpret their roles in the 21st century? In my study, I sought answers to these questions.

Többszörös intelligenciavizsgálat a Nemzeti Közszolgálati Egyetem hallgatói körében
177-194Views:178Cognitive flexibility is one of the most important abilities that is a challenge of the 21st century, which can be achieved by developing creativity and intelligence (Spiro & Jehng 1990) or by applying the flow pedagogical model in the classroom. In the present study, we investigate the multiple intelligence levels of students at our university (N=5670; n=747). The focus of the research is to assess the students' multiple intelligence map and to examine its applicability in the classroom. The quantitative research was conducted in the academic year 2022/2023, for which the Gardner multiple intelligence test was adapted. Our hypothesis is that students' intelligence types are strong for the strength of the faculty, while the other intelligence types need improvement. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS statistical software with multivariate procedures including independent variables of gender, faculty and place of residence. The results showed a significant correlation between the faculty distribution of students and the variables under study. This supports the theory that cognitive flexibility can be enhanced primarily through the development of different types of intelligence.
