Author Guidelines
The manuscript should be submitted via the Open Journal System, and all later correspondence is recommended and requested to be done using this OJS platform.
For a first submission (newly submitted, not yet revised), you may incorporate the manuscript text and figures into a single file in PDF format.
When submitting, the corresponding author should add details for all of the contributors to the submission, including affiliation and, if available, ORCID ID (full URL), which will appear in the article metadata.
We do not impose strict limits on word count or page number. However, we strongly recommend that you write concisely and stick to the following guidelines:
- Articles should ideally be no more than 15 typeset pages.
- The main text should be no more than 6000 words (not including Abstract, References and Tables).
- The title should be no more than 20 words.
- The abstract should be no more than 200 words.
Your blind manuscript text file should start with a title page that shows the title, but does not contain author names, affiliations and contact information, to ensure the authors' identity remains hidden during the double-blind review process. The submitted files themselves should be named sufficiently as well.
For the main body of the text, there are no specific requirements. You can organise it in a way that best suits your research. However, the following structure will be suitable in many cases:
Introduction; Theoretical background; Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusion.
Recommended citation for papers:
Authors (20XX). Title of paper. Teaching Mathematics and Computer Science, X(Y), xx-yy.
Prepare your file in TMCS's style, using one of the following blind templates:
Microsoft Word template
LaTeX template (see the sample PDF)
For more details you can also check: Format of Accepted Manuscripts
When submitting your paper, provided you are the primary contact for the submission, the corresponding author, you must sign the Author's declaration, a legally binding form,
and also upload a Cover letter in PDF, which should include:
- The affiliation and contact information of the corresponding author.
- List of co-authors and their contributions to the manuscript.
- Further details about identifying text removed from the blind manuscript (you may append the complete version of your manuscript to the cover letter).
- A brief explanation of why the work is appropriate for Teaching Mathematics and Computer Science.
- The names and contact information of any reviewers you consider suitable.
