THE SOCIAL INTEGRATION AND SOCIAL MOBILITY: AN EXAMPLE FROM HODÁSZ
Views:124The paper examines the social mobility process of Romani youngsters in a settlement that is in one of the most disadvantaged regions of Hungary. Hodász became the centre of interest due to the relevant research concerning the mobility issue, because here, just contrary to the communities have similar sociocultural features, there are number of young Romani who could stand out by learning. The author interprets in wider aspects the determinative local norms, and the scale of values of local Vlach Romani community make possible for lots of local youngsters, that they can be graduated. In the second part of the paper the reader can understand the intellectual career by three studies, and consequently the social integration doesn’t automatically yield social mobility. In the situational analyses of Hodász example can be circumscribed the specific preconditions of intellectual career in the case of the young Romani and disadvantageous.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MENTAL HEALTH AND LEISURE SPORT
29-40Views:1663Thanks to today’s accelerated world, the number of mental illnesses has multiplied, and chronic stress, lack of self-confidence, depression are all present in people’s everyday lives. Just as physical activity is essential for the existence of physical health, so physical activity is essential for maintaining and improving mental health. The research examines the mental health and sports habits of the next generation. Focusing on stress management ability, the importance of stress relief. Examining the answers obtained, we primarily compare the sports habits of the examined persons with the mental factors in order to explore the connections. During the research, as a primary procedure, we conducted a questionnaire survey, in the framework of which we analyzed the responses of 331 people. 72.3% of young people living in Debrecen chose grade 3-4 (on a scale of 4) when asked about their degree of stress management skills. In the same survey, 52.5% of young adults who do not engage in sports feel that they have good or near-good stress management skills. A 19.8% higher proportion of athletes responded from their experience that they have good stress management skills than individuals who do not engage in sports or rarely do so. Respondents consider helping concentration (rated 5.8 on a scale of 7) and stress relief (5.8) to be the most important positive effects of sport. Respondents, regardless of which category they belong to in terms of sports habits, consider stress relief as a factor affecting mental health in sport. 85% of athletes and 80.7% of non-athletes consider the stress-relieving effect of sport to be important, so the result presents only a 4.3% difference, which is negligible. Yet this can be accounted for as a positive, as non-athletes are also aware of the widely accepted fact that one of the effects of sport on mental health is stress relief.

FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF A TALENT MANAGEMENT ‒ GOOD PRACTICE AT THE ÁRPÁD VEZÉR PRIMARY SCHOOL IN DEBRECEN
117-127Views:197Talent management is a very important area in the pedagogical program of schools. Examining children’s interests or raising their interest can provide students with a learning motivation that allows talent to unfold or help the process of becoming a talent which the joint coordinated work of the teacher-student-parent can make the most effective. In our article, in the care of the talents of the students of the Árpád Vezér Primary School in Debrecen, Elektra Tóth (class 5B) we present the project presented by Ildikó Czeglédi and the process and participants of talent management as a good practice. The topic of the research was space exploration and astronomy, which could be a very interesting topic for other students. It deals with objects that seem to motivate children in the process of cognition, seeming a bit mystical and unreachable at light-years away. It was prepared for the VI. Debrecen City Talent Care Student Conference event was on March 10, 2022. The project consisted of a 3-page dissertation and a 5-minute presentation. The survey (N = 357) was completed by upper-elementary students who study in the Northern Great Plain region. The questionnaire found answers to the question of whether children are interested in space research, where they can get information about it, and what kind of school program they should be involved in related to this topic. The results of the questionnaire were processed using SPSS software, and we calculated basic statistics (mean, standard deviation) and correlation analysis (independent t-test, chi-squared distribution) too. The research confirmed that children are interested in the topic, but we were able to show a significant difference in the motivation of boys and girls during school programs. These are worth considering for teachers who organize school programs so they can reach children even more effectively in this topic. Girls can be addressed with the utility of space exploration, drawing and crafts classes, and lectures, while boys can be addressed with online games.

REVISION OF HUNGARIAN VERSIONS OF THE ALTERNATIVE USES AND CIRCLES CREATIVITY TESTS IN CASES OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS STUDENTS
41-47Views:1036Although time plays a role as a latent or explicit factor in all creative processes, a direct examination of the role of time occurs less frequently in creativity research (Mező K., 2017; Mainemelis, 2002; Runco, 1999). This study focuses on the revision of Hungarian versions of creativity tests because the last standardization of these tests had been for more than 30 years. The applied tests were the Alternative Uses Test (as verbal creativity test), the Circles Test (as a figural test), and the Raven nonverbal intelligence test (as a complementary means of study). The sample of this study was 1363 elementary and secondary school students, whose 35331 responses were recorded and analyzed. According to the results, the differences in scores of the old and new (revised) evaluation tables of all tests and age groups are significant (p ≤ 0,05). From the viewpoint of the revised scores, there is a significant difference with respect to fluency, originality, and flexibility in both tests and all age groups. However, the differences in scores of other indicators (average originality, relative flexibility, and revised average originality) are not significant.

TEACHING GERMAN IN NYÍREGYHÁZA TO STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
69-81Views:204The present paper deals with the issues of teaching a second language to school-aged children with SEN in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. In our research, we made semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions featuring 25 children with Special Educational Needs in grades 7 and 8 in order to gain more information about their opinion and attitudes concerning German lessons at school, which in turn might help to unify the material and/or the methods. We also contacted the children’s parents (25) to fill out a questionnaire about their impressions and opinions with regard to their children’s German learning experience at school. Finally, we asked the two teachers to paint a broader picture of teaching German to children with SEN. The research took place in spring 2020 in Nyíregyháza. We did our research in Viktor Göllesz Vocational School, Skills Development School, Student Hostel, and Integrated Special Educational Methodological Institution as well as in Gusztáv Bárczi Primary School, Skills Development School, Student Hostel, and Integrated Special Educational Methodological Institution. To carry out our research, we asked for the parents’ and the head teachers’ ethical consent. Our experience underlines that all the participants in the teaching process feel that there is a need for unification. It would be much easier for all parties to have a German coursebook written for students aged 13-16 with SEN. Based on the answers of the language teachers, we came to the conclusion that they pay attention to individual development and playful, communicative language teaching, even though it is challenging to teach German to children with SEN, as they often have difficulties in their mother tongue.

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS AND ACTION OF HUNGARIAN SPORTS POLITICAL, FROM 1945 UNTIL THE CHANGE OF THE POLITICAL REGIME AND THE FOLLOWING YEARS, ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF FOOTBALL
19-33Views:376The aim of our present theoretical study is to explore and present the sport policy measures and marketization processes within the Hungarian sport and football that started and has been going on as a result of neoliberal thinking in our country since the change of the political regime (1989/90). In our paper, we are looking at these potential causes based on the research findings and studies that have emerged in this topic. Our goal is to find the events that triggered changes from 1945 onwards, which could have led to changes in the sport policy processes and possible paradigm shift. Our goal is to focus on the sport of football in sports politics and to look for links in connection with the football academies. Our study has several chapters. In the first major part, we review the situation of the Hungarian sport in the light of sport policy changes from 1945 until the change of the political regime and the following years. In the second major chapter, we survey the major sports policy measures and related changes in football during the same era. In the third subsection of this chapter, we discussed the major political changes in football academies in a separate subchapter. As a result of our research, it has turned out that the change of the political regime brought up significant political changes both in sports and properly in the field of football. The major change could be the marketization process with which our country's football started to follow western patterns. The widespread dissemination of football academies can be explained with a set of political decisions. Even though they have been working for almost 17 years in Hungary they can not fully justify their legitimacy.

INVESTIGATING THE WILLINGNESS TO USE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION AMONG STUDENTS OF SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS
31-45Views:532Goal: Artificial intelligence-based systems, tools, and services have penetrated all areas of life, including education. The aim of this study is to find out the views of future special education teachers on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. Method: In research, we surveyed n= 157 students in special education teachers with a questionnaire survey. The results were evaluated by mathematical statistical analysis using SPSS software. Within the software, cross-tabulation analysis, χ2 test, and frequency analysis were used. Results: only a very small percentage (18.5%) of the prospective special education teachers had encountered tools based on AI and applications during their previous studies. They will prefer to use AI tools outside classroom activities. There is no significant difference in the willingness to use AI in relation to age, 59.7% of those under 24 years and 65% of those over 24 years consider AI tools necessary in special needs education. However their knowledge about AI applications, tools, and possibilities is very uncertain and limited, and therefore there is a need for a wide dissemination of AI education.

THE 7 CORE PRINCIPLES OF WALDORF EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD)
133-148Views:353Waldorf education provides a developmentally appropriate, experiential, and academically demanding educational approach. It seeks to stimulate lifelong learning in all students while also allowing them to fully utilize their individual abilities. Hence, the objective of this study is to establish how the seven core principles of Waldorf education will assist children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to flourish. The Waldorf method, according to Priyanti and Warmansyah (2021), is utilized to help children attain a delicate blend of genuine experience, which leads to a strong level of confidence in their abilities. This applies the acquired abilities to use especially for ASD children. Furthermore, the significance of this paper can also assist the educational system in identifying the methodological underpinnings that will benefit these special kids. This study is a review of the literature to determine how the seven key principles of Waldorf education support children's moral growth and encourage free and independent thought, which promotes self-discovery. ASD children benefit greatly from educational philosophies that encourage the development of successful social-emotional behaviors and academic skills. Waldorf education, an educational philosophy that emphasizes developmentally appropriate hands-on learning, has been shown to improve social and academic outcomes for children with disabilities such as ASD.

RIGHT TO LIFE IN HUNGARY AND IN THE EU: THE EVER-TROUBLESOME ISSUE OF ABORTION
83-90Views:428In relation to one of the human rights, right to life, most frequently there are, at least, two challenging fields might be brought up, one is death penalty, and the other is termination of pregnancy or abortion. If one intends to comprehend how abortion has been dealt with historically in the western legal tradition one must first come to terms with two quite different but interrelated historical trajectories, the ancient Judeo-Christian condemnation of prenatal homicide as a wrong justifying retribution; and, there is the juristic definition of "crime" in the modern sense of the word.

The Methods of Mentoring with a Career Orientation Approach - The Experiences of the Teach Hungary Program in Gödöllő
137-150Views:62In our study, we undertake to present the methods of career guidance-focused mentoring activity applied at the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences in connection with the Teach for Hungary program and discuss its experiences. Mentor training, as well as support for children studying in schools in settlements cut off from information and activity opportunities, is also carried out in accordance with the traditions of the "Gödöllő School". In this regard, we should note that the counselling higher education training program in our country has the longest history at the MATE Szent István Campus (predecessors: GATE, SZIE). The intellectual capital, experience and all-encompassing ethos gathered in the consulting courses, which have been operating for more than 30 years and run under different names and at different levels, are already called the "Gödöllő School" in the literature (Borbély-Pecze, 2022). The development of methods used in career counselling in our country (Szilágyi, 1993) and their continuous development (Szilágyi, 2023) can be linked to this school. Some of these elements were also used among the high school students receiving mentoring within the framework of the TH program. In the following, we would like to present, together with their theoretical background, the methods that the students learned during the TM1 mentor training course and then used during the program.

INVESTIGATION OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND EMPATHY IN THE SIBLINGS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER
59-68Views:538In recent years, more and more researchers have focused on studies of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), however, studying their siblings has gained less scientific interest. The present study focuses on siblings of children with ASD and assesses their characteristics in terms of emotional intelligence and empathy. Our sample consisted of n = 61 children in two age groups studied: 6-8 and 10-15 years old. Our experimental group consisted of n = 30 siblings of children with ASD, while our control group also consisted of n = 31 children with sibling relationships. Subjects completed two paper-and-pencil tests: the Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (Children’s Version), and depending on the age group, the Emotional Intelligence Test (EIT 6-8 / EIT 10-15). We identified higher emotional intelligence and empathy in higher age groups. Among 6-8 years old siblings of children with ASD, higher scores were found to be. At the level of gender differences, girls performed more outstandingly in the tests examined. In our study, the 6-8 years old siblings of children with ASD can be characterized by a higher degree of emotional intelligence and empathy, however, we cannot draw conclusions in a representative way for the entire population.

LUANG ISLAND: COASTAL ECOLOGY SYSTEM IN OUTERMOST SMALL ISLANDS (ESCAOSD), MALUKU-INDONESIA
37-55Views:120Coastal communities and their ecology are inseparable units, connected to one another. The Luang Island community is one of the coastal communities on the outermost islands in Indonesia-Maluku Province-Southwest Maluku Regency. Understanding the ecological system of the people of Luang Island is inseparable from how they live their daily lives, which then accumulates into knowledge, habits as well as patterns to regulate their life order through a long historical process of interaction with nature. This knowledge and habits depend on the geographical environment in which they live, in other words, the natural environment also influences the way they act and think. This pattern then plays a role in realizing the harmonization of their lives, to create unique social and cultural conditions which then become their spirit. This spirit can be seen in their daily lives. This study uses ethnographic research with an ecological anthropological approach. Data was collected through literature study techniques, interviews, FGDs, and participatory observation. The data analysis technique used in this research is ethnoecology. The results of this study indicate that the influence between community relations and nature on Luang Island is reflected in the use of everyday language in communication, the ability to express sea areas based on local knowledge, and presenting natural elements into the social culture of the people of Luang Island. The results of this study are useful for ecological studies in the outermost small islands in Indonesia and as a comparison among the forty-eight archipelagic countries in the world, both tropical and non-tropical.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEARNING MOTIVATIONS AND LABOR MARKET EXPECTATIONS
51-63Views:191Publications on student motivation in learning are available in Hungarian as well as in English-language scientific literature. The present study is aiming to focus on the connection between the motivation of learning and finding work in the labor market. The actuality of the topic is based on the fact that young people in front of a career choice mostly apply for higher education and there are only fewer of them willing to learn a profession. Is everyone really that motivated to learn? What are the external and internal factors that motivate the individual to learn? Does family background have an impact on the performance of the student? We have been looking for answers to these questions. According to our primary results, the majority of the examined young adults are willing to continue to study after high-school graduation. That is how they think they will later prevail entering the labor market. The most common specializations chosen are health and economy. At the first place of their learning motivation ranking, we find “want to be successful attitude”.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIGH SENSITIVITY AND TEST ANXIETY ON THE BASIS OF A SURVEY CARRIED OUT IN SZABOLCS-SZATMÁR-BEREG COUNTY GYMNASIUM
45-53Views:388This article pertains to the relation between high sensitivity and test anxiety. The timeliness of this study comes from the observation that although more and more research is being conducted on high sensitivity abroad, high sensitivity as a character trait has not been researched in Hungary, especially in relation to the special treatment highly sensitive children may require. In this study, the main research question is whether a higher level of sensitivity correlates positively with a higher level of test anxiety. Sample: 133 persons (attributes: Mage=15.3; gender distribution 25.56% boys, 74.44% girls; grade distribution 78.95% 9th grade, 21.05% 10th grade). Method: a questionnaire package completable anonymously online made up of 3 questionnaires. The questionnaires used were a self-constructed demographic questionnaire, the TAI-H questionnaire to measure test anxiety (Sipos, Sipos & Spielberger, 1988), and the HSPS-H questionnaire to measure sensitivity (Aron, 1999, transl. Komjáthy, 2011; Pluess, 2013). Results: students showing a higher level of sensitivity show significantly higher test anxiety levels than their less-sensitive peers. Conclusions: considering that (alongside multiple other factors) the given character trait of high sensitivity can influence test anxiety levels and conclusively also performance, it would be advisable to take students’ sensitivity into account in teaching practice.
