Absztrakt
Az utóbbi években ismét felerősödtek a munkaerő-piaci intézmények szerepével kapcsolatos viták. A vizsgálatok azonban mára már nem elsősorban a miért léteznek és hogyan jöttek létre problémákra fokuszálnak, hanem sokkal inkább arra, hogy miért olyanok amilyenek és vajon milyen tényleges tartalommal bírnak a gazdasági szereplők számára. A tanulmányban a munkaerő-piaci intézmények közül a szakszervezetekre, a minimálbérekre, a munkanélküliek támogatására, valamint a piaci szabályozásra és politikákra koncentrálunk. Az empirikus elemzések eredményeként megállapítható, hogy a piaci és nem piaci szektorokban ezek eltérő módon befolyásolják a foglalkoztatás alakulását. Az elvégzett vizsgálatok továbbá rávilágítottak az időtényező releváns szerepére, ugyanis eltérő időtávokban ugyanazon intézmény különböző makrogazdasági hatásmechanizmusokat fejthet ki.
