Absztrakt

Jelen tanulmány célja, hogy intézményi, történeti, modellszerű és statisztikai megközelítésben tanulmányozza az állami újraelosztás mértékének változását, és azt, egyes országokban az újraelosztás változása
milyen hatással van a hosszú távú gazdasági növekedésre. Általánosan kijelenthető, hogy Európában az 1870-es évek óta napjainkig folyamatosan (trendjét tekintve) nő a kormányzati kiadások GDP-hez
viszonyított aránya. Megvizsgálom, milyen csatornákon keresztül hat az állam mérete a gazdasági növekedésre, illetve milyen egyéb tényezők befolyásolják a két változó hosszú távú kapcsolatának természetét. Hipotézisem szerint a fejlett államokban a magas állami újraelosztás hosszú távon már gátolja a gazdasági növekedést. Ezt igyekszem belátni 30 európai ország statisztikai elemzéséből is.
