Tranzakciós költségek a mobilpiaci szabványosításban – japán mobilszabványok esete

A tranzakciós költségek már korábban is felbukkantak a szabványosítással foglalkozó írásokban, ám ezek azt vizsgálták, hogy a szabványok alkalmazásával a tranzakciós költségek miként csökkenthetők. Jelen tanulmányban ezzel szemben arra világítok rá, hogy a tranzakciós költségek a szabványosítás során is megjelennek. Ha a szabvány megalkotását egy olyan tranzakcióként értelmezzük, amelynek során a résztvevő felek átadják egymásnak explicit és hallgatólagos tudásukat, akkor a tranzakciós költségek elméletének kereteiben elemezhetővé válik a szabványosítás folyamata. Mivel az egyének tudása specifikus eszköz – aminek az átadása is komoly tranzakciós költségekkel jár –, a szabványosítás során többféleképpen is megjelenhet az opportunizmus. A cikkben amellett érvelek, hogy a mobilpiaci szabványosítás elemezhető a Teece (1986) által felvázolt keretben, ami segít rámutatni, hogy a különböző esetekben milyen megoldással lehet a tranzakciós költségeket mérsékelni. Mindehhez a japán másodikgenerációs szabványosítás tapasztalatait hozom példaként, s ezen keresztül illusztrálom az elméleti rész megállapításait.
