SPORTING MOTIVATIONS OF STUDENTS WHO LIVE WITH DISABILITIES, IN THE LIGHT OF A REGIONAL RESEARCH
35-44Views:311Among the sports motivations of children, victory occupies a very special place, success, achievement, the need to recognize performance, which predominantly expresses extrinsic orientation (Duda et al., 1992). Studies examining sports motivational factors for people with disabilities do not provide such a comprehensive system as research on intact sports. Thus, the survey of exercise habits and sports motivation factors that determine the quality of life of people with disabilities can be said to be a deficit area both domestically and internationally. The research examines the sports motivation factors of the 8-18 age group (n = 1158) and reports the results of primary research. I present the adaptation of the questionnaire conducted among the Hungarian disabled population to a child sample and its results. No such survey has yet been conducted in Hungary among children with disabilities. In the questionnaire research, the sports habits of young people with disabilities and the emergence of the role of health awareness in sports motivation. I process the data with the help of SPSS software, in addition to the basic statistics, I use the Chi2 test to examine the correlations.

FINANCIAL, SOCIAL AND SPORTING ASPECTS OF DEAF SPORTS WORLDWIDE
71-83Views:334There is a dynamic increase in the number of international sports competitions aimed at deaf athletes. More than 50 World and European championships are held every year in various sports disciplines. The participation and number of deaf athletes delegated to these sports competitions depend on the budget available to national sports federations (NSFs) of deaf athletes. Many times, NSFs have been forced to withdraw from participation in a competition owing to a lack of financial resources. In numerous countries, NSFs have to conduct online fundraising dedicated to their representatives’ involvement in sports competitions. The authors reviewed the source materials on the internet on financing the sport of the hearing impaired. No scientific articles covering the funding aspect of national sports federations in the world were found. The authors relied on financial documents provided by the NSF (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain) and on websites indicated by these federations. The aim of the article was to characterize selected national organizations gathering deaf athletes from Europe, Asia and Oceania, and North America in terms of the budget they had at their disposal in years 2013–2017, the number of athletes associated in the NSF, and the number of Olympic competitors and the country’s medal position during the 2013 and 2017 Deaflympics. An overview of NSF websites with reference to “annual reports”, “financial reports”, “financial statements”, “newsletter”, “national teams of”, “number of athletes of”, demonstrated numerous deficiencies in the transparent presentation of the financial situation of NSFs. The content of NSF activity reports also provides limited information on the number of athletes and clubs associated in these federations. The article constitutes an introduction to a discussion on the financing aspects and development of deaf people’s sport worldwide.

INVESTIGATION OF DEMAND AND SUPPLY ELEMENTS OF LEISURE SPORTS IN THE HEALTH TOURISM OF NORTHERN GREAT PLAIN REGION
45-54Views:234Nowadays, leisure and recreational trends justify the significant appearance of health-conscious consumers, among whom the need for various recreational sports and fitness services is formulated during their holiday, to which the hotel offerings are adapted. The aim of our research was to analyze leisure sports offerings of hotels in the Northern Great Plain region (n = 39) and the development of hotel guests (n = 141) demand for leisure sports and fitness services. The results of our research confirmed, that 23.4% of the guests are influenced by the recreational- and 19.1% by the sports elements of the hotel offerings. 62.4% of those surveyed find it important to have the possibility for leisure activities during their stay, and 70.2% of them use these services during their stay. Music and dance forms of exercise, outdoor sports (cycling, hiking), and fitness room services have proven to be the most popular. The preference system of males and females differed, in which we could identify a significant difference: while females preferred yoga and the conditioning treadmill, males preferred the use of free weights.

ACTIVITY, LEISURE SPORTS
49-58Views:779Nowadays sedentary lifestyle is at the forefront. In our spare time, both passive and active recreational trends and activities appear. The role of leisure sports is getting more and more appreciated among health-conscious consumers. Several studies proved that regular sports activities are projective factors against lifestyle-dependent diseases, so they are excellent means of prevention. Methods: Our study examined the leisure habits of Romanian and Hungarian residents, their activity in sport, their attitude towards active recreation activities, and their openness to new methods. The results were analyzed by using SPSS software. Results: The results underline that passive leisure activities (watching television, listening to music, reading, surfing the internet) are popular in people's lives, although most people live a sedentary lifestyle. People, who exercise in their free time have noticed a number of positive effects on themselves. 80-90% of respondents interested in new methods and would like to take part in sports events at work, at school, or at university.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MENTAL HEALTH AND LEISURE SPORT
29-40Views:1663Thanks to today’s accelerated world, the number of mental illnesses has multiplied, and chronic stress, lack of self-confidence, depression are all present in people’s everyday lives. Just as physical activity is essential for the existence of physical health, so physical activity is essential for maintaining and improving mental health. The research examines the mental health and sports habits of the next generation. Focusing on stress management ability, the importance of stress relief. Examining the answers obtained, we primarily compare the sports habits of the examined persons with the mental factors in order to explore the connections. During the research, as a primary procedure, we conducted a questionnaire survey, in the framework of which we analyzed the responses of 331 people. 72.3% of young people living in Debrecen chose grade 3-4 (on a scale of 4) when asked about their degree of stress management skills. In the same survey, 52.5% of young adults who do not engage in sports feel that they have good or near-good stress management skills. A 19.8% higher proportion of athletes responded from their experience that they have good stress management skills than individuals who do not engage in sports or rarely do so. Respondents consider helping concentration (rated 5.8 on a scale of 7) and stress relief (5.8) to be the most important positive effects of sport. Respondents, regardless of which category they belong to in terms of sports habits, consider stress relief as a factor affecting mental health in sport. 85% of athletes and 80.7% of non-athletes consider the stress-relieving effect of sport to be important, so the result presents only a 4.3% difference, which is negligible. Yet this can be accounted for as a positive, as non-athletes are also aware of the widely accepted fact that one of the effects of sport on mental health is stress relief.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ACTIVE AND PASSIVE RECREATIONAL CONSUMPTION HABITS OF DISABLED CHILDREN LIVING IN THE NORTHERN GREAT PLAIN REGION
31-39Views:206In our research, we studied the leisure habits of students with disabilities (8-18 years, n = 289) living in the North Great Plain region using a questionnaire method. The aim of the research was to examine the leisure habits of children with disabilities in the region, their main characteristics, and their recreational attitudes. Our goal was also the gender test to see whether there was a significant difference between the sexes and how this correlated with the results of the study of leisure habits in the wild. We sought to find out what the most common leisure time activities for general and high school students with disabilities are, how does this affect genders? What is their attitude towards spending time on leisure? What are their sporting habits and sporting consumption? We have found that the recreational consumption of young people with disabilities is similar to the results of surveys carried among normal children as passive leisure time is dominant (listening to music, watching TV). In girls' leisure time, the preference for listening and reading is more dominant while watching TV, especially popular sports channels are more characteristic of boys. For leisure-time activities, staying fit, trying out new things, and community experience is crucial for young people with disabilities. Recreational sports prove to be popular, as more than 50% of both girls and boys say they are engaged in recreational sports.

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS AND ACTION OF HUNGARIAN SPORTS POLITICAL, FROM 1945 UNTIL THE CHANGE OF THE POLITICAL REGIME AND THE FOLLOWING YEARS, ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF FOOTBALL
19-33Views:376The aim of our present theoretical study is to explore and present the sport policy measures and marketization processes within the Hungarian sport and football that started and has been going on as a result of neoliberal thinking in our country since the change of the political regime (1989/90). In our paper, we are looking at these potential causes based on the research findings and studies that have emerged in this topic. Our goal is to find the events that triggered changes from 1945 onwards, which could have led to changes in the sport policy processes and possible paradigm shift. Our goal is to focus on the sport of football in sports politics and to look for links in connection with the football academies. Our study has several chapters. In the first major part, we review the situation of the Hungarian sport in the light of sport policy changes from 1945 until the change of the political regime and the following years. In the second major chapter, we survey the major sports policy measures and related changes in football during the same era. In the third subsection of this chapter, we discussed the major political changes in football academies in a separate subchapter. As a result of our research, it has turned out that the change of the political regime brought up significant political changes both in sports and properly in the field of football. The major change could be the marketization process with which our country's football started to follow western patterns. The widespread dissemination of football academies can be explained with a set of political decisions. Even though they have been working for almost 17 years in Hungary they can not fully justify their legitimacy.

ATTITUDES TOWARDS THE SPORT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, I. E.: IS THE SPORT IMPORTANT IN THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?
19-34Views:541The equal opportunities approach of the second half of the 20th century emphasizes the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups, including persons with disabilities. Education and employment play a key role in achieving integration. Nevertheless, other fields such as leisure time and sporting activities also contribute positively to the social involvement of persons with disabilities. At present nearly 7,000 persons with disabilities are registered in Hungary who pursue sports competitively, of whom approximately 5,000 persons with intellectual disabilities (Regényi et.al, 2017). The study discloses the partial results of a research aimed at revealing the awareness of the Hungarian population regarding the sport of people with disabilities. As such research has never been carried out in Hungary before, it can fill in a niche. The results of our exploratory research may be the starting point for further investigations. The importance of the topic is given by the fact that thanks to the sport the focus is on the outstanding performance of the social group concerned rather than on their limitations and deficiencies, which therefore reinforces the positive and accepting attitude of citizens. Previous research findings have highlighted that the nature of disability-related knowledge influences the way the members of society think about persons with disabilities, i.e. when it is possible to provide information and gain experience focusing on the existing abilities and strengths of the above -mentioned group, attitudes become more positive as well. The findings of the research reveal that respondents consider it important to pursue sport within an integrated framework, at the same time they feel it is justified to do segregated sports with a view to persons with disabilities. Based on the results we can state that the media coverage of achievements in sports competitions of persons with disabilities is perceived as low level, but apparently it is not considered to be a key area in the lives of persons with disabilities.

IS THERE AN IDEAL AGE TO WIN AN OLYMPIC MEDAL?
7-17Views:373Knowledge of the age at which elite athletes achieve peak performance could provide invaluable information for the athletes to plan their career, to carefully select sports events promising successful participation. We aimed to identify the age at which top athletes achieved their Olympic medals, and to observe any changes in the average medal-winning age over the last decades. The age of Olympic medallists between 1960 Rome and 2016 Rio were collected using an online database. Data were gathered from the following individual sports: track and field, swimming, fencing (foil, épée, saber), triple jump, long jump, high jump, and wrestling (57 events all together). The study evaluates and compares the trends in the age of the winners in each discipline. Disciplines of this study show one of the two trends: the trend of increasing age, or trend of decreasing in age. In those disciplines, in which the Olympic medallists were younger than 26 years at the beginning of the examination period, such as swimming, the medallists became older over the decades. In those disciplines, however, in which the top three were older than 26 years at the beginning of the examination period, such as fencers, younger and younger athletes won their Olympic medals as time went by. The age and the trend in the changes of the age of the medallists in the examined disciplines support the theory of an optimal age, being around 26 years.

QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY OF LIFESTYLES HABITS OF FIRST ANNUAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
49-57Views:171In our research, we measured first-year students’ lifestyles, emphasizing sports habits, time spent sitting, and the presence of pain. Our questionnaire is self-reporting. Results show that 75% of the students do some kind of sports as a hobby. Before starting the university, 50% of the students did some kind of competitive physical activity, but by now, 34% of them gave up doing that because of lack of time and possibility. Feeling pain in different parts of the body is frequent, neck and shoulders, zone of the back, and low back. A sedentary lifestyle is frequent, and people do not pay attention to spine protection. Only 35% of the students know the principles of spine protection and only a few of them use it while sitting. We have not found any significant connection between lifestyle characteristics and pain, but our results show the risks of this lifestyle.

RESEARCH OF YOUTH RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
105-110Views:786In the publication, we examined recreational activities, highlighting the role of physical recreational activities. For our study, we constructed an online questionnaire, which was completed using social media (N = 158). Our results confirmed that people consider regular exercise important to maintain health (94.30%), however, in their free time, in addition to physical recreational activities, there are also activities that strengthen a sedentary, sedentary lifestyle. Our respondents meet their friends the most in their free time (69.62%), but many also play sports at this time (64.56%). Popular leisure habits are also the internet, playing online games (55.06%), and reading and learning (46.83%). The most popular physical activity among our respondents is cycling (66.46%), walking, Nordic walking (64.55%), and running (60.13%), and the most popular locations are parks and sports fields (55.69%), however, many perform these activities on their way to work and school (42.41%).

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HUNGARIAN AND CROSS-BORDER FOOTBALL ACADEMY IN RELATION TO THE ROLE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF COACH
7-18Views:288Football is equally popular in and around Hungary, despite the fact that currently, Hungarian football has very few footballers who are good enough to play in internationally recognized teams. Youth trainers bear a special responsibility in talent development, as they not only have to be excellent sports professionals but also need to have a positive influence on the young players’ lifestyle, attitude and activities beyond sports. Based on the above, the purpose of the study was to explore differences and similarities in trainers’ roles among the footballers in Hungary and in the Hungarian speaking areas of neighbouring countries. It was also our goal to take age into consideration of the football academies. The study was carried out in of one the eight major football academies of Hungary, and at a football academy located in a Hungarian speaking area of a neighbouring country. In the study, we gathered data from young footballers (n=146) belonging to four age groups. We used the questionnaire method. The questions were aimed at the young footballers’ attitudes and experience about the role of their trainers. The findings show that the young players and age groups in and outside of Hungary have a different view on the work of their trainers and their influence on their life. Comparing the academies and the age groups, marked differences were found. The footballers of the neighbouring country generally tended to have a higher appreciation towards their trainers’ roles and the main characteristics of their trainers, and also there were smaller differences between the age groups in that country. In the case of footballers from Hungary, the more they approached the age of being contracted as a professional sportsperson, the more they valued the factors affecting this step; while younger footballers mostly mentioned pedagogical elements. It would be important for trainers to be familiar with these findings and tailor their work accordingly so that pedagogical work can play a crucial role in talent development.

HUNGARIAN YOUNG PEOPLE’S FREE TIME ACTIVITIES IN VOJVODINA
95-99Views:184Nowadays the lifestyle of most people is characterised by improper food intake and by a sedentary lifestyle. Especially in childhood, great attention should be paid to this, because children’s habits can be formed at this age and for their development, it is very important to eat properly and healthy and to exercise regularly. During the research, elementary school children’s nutritional status was determined and their physical activity was measured using the PAQ-C (physical activity questionnaire) questionnaire. The partial results of the research show that among boys there is more overweight person, even so, they do more sports regularly and they are more active during breaks between classes. Among sports, football is dominant in the case of the boys and basketball is dominant in the case of the girls. The work presented partial results of the research carried out during the Vojvodina provincial project 142-451-2637/2019-01.

THE ROLE OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC BACKGROUND VARIABLES IN NETFIT MEASUREMENT
33-44Views:222Assessment of physical indicators and motor skills is the Hungarian National Unified Student Fitness Test (hereinafter referred to as "NETFIT"), which was introduced in public education from the 2013/14 academic year, which aims to demonstrate the effects of everyday physical education on the fitness and physiological parameters of students. When showing the national results of the tests, it is also shown that the fitness condition is determined by the genetic conditions, the family background and the environment (Csányi et al., 2015, Csányi and Kaj 2017) so results can be interpreted in a common context of these factors. In our research, we aimed at examining NETFIT data from Budapest secondary school students, supplemented by family background surveys. During our research, we sought to find out how the fitness profile of boys studying at the Budapest Technical Vocational Training Center is based on the results of the NETFIT tests. What is the relationship between family background and NETFIT performance? Our survey was carried out at one of the largest schools of the Budapest Technical Vocational Training Center at the Technical Training Center in Újpesti Two Teaching Grammar School and Technical College of the Budapest Technical Vocational Training Center. A total of 342 pupils were included in the study, where a questionnaire of 35 questions was used to investigate the correlations of NETFIT results and socioeconomic background indicators. Numerous studies have shown that the more favorable SES students have generally more favorable fitness indicators (Jiménez-Pavon et al., 2010, Ortega et al., 2013, Vandendriessche et al., 2012). There is also a great deal of evidence that country-specific regional status indicators are higher in regions with more favorable SES (Charlton et al., 2014, Golle et al., 2014, Cleland et al., 2009, Welk, Saint-Maurice and Csányi, 2015). During our research, we found that students in need of development mostly come from small communities, with some 58.3% developing. These values differ significantly (khi = 218.6, df = 20, p = 0.000). The basic pillow of the lifestyle is the family (Field 2018), the habits of which shape the child's relationship with sports, and later it is very difficult to change them (Herpain et al., 2017, Herpainé 2018). The study showed that the father's sporting habits are decisive in the case of the examined boy's pupils, but the mother's sporting habit does not have the same effect on the sportsman's behavior. We propose to extend the NETFIT test bundle with the socioeconomic background examination of the examined person.

SWIMMING AS A TOOL FOR PRESERVING AND MAINTAINING HEALTH
35-47Views:645It is worth taking various preventive measures against the sedentary lifestyle, inadequate nutrition, and the harmful effects of stress on health. Swimming can be an excellent tool for this, which people consider to be one of the healthiest sports. How do people feel about this form of movement? Are you aware of the areas in which it is having a multifaceted positive impact? We sought answers to these and similar questions in our research. The study involved 126 people, all over the age of 40. Our method was an online questionnaire. Our results show that the multifaceted, positive effects of swimming are largely known to people, but there are still problem areas that are worth further investigation.

COLLEGE STUDENT’S LIFE STYLE AND THEIR ATTITUDE TO SPORTS
19-27Views:263The authors study by using questionnaires the amount of time spent by college students at the Applied Humanities and Pedagogy Faculty of Szent István University (n=127) on body hygiene, sleeping, meal, participation in lessons, active-passive exploitation of free time. Results: Meal – the students consume in great amount chocolates, chips while their fruit and vegetable consummation seem backward. Move – the proportion of students doing regular physical education is no more than 21 %, 55% are not involved in any sporting activities, 13 % do not like anybody's movement. Others – 39 % of the students spent more than 1-2 hours daily in front of a computer or TV set. The results suggest that in the teacher candidates’ scale of values the place of health falls too much behind.

HEALTH AWARENESS IN WORKPLACES OF HAJDÚ-BIHAR COUNTY
7-18Views:195In our research, we examined the importance of maintaining the mental and physical health of employees from an employer perspective. To this end companies in Hajdú-Bihar county who are listed in the TOP 100 based on their net revenue were interviewed. The most represented economic sectors in this relation were processing, services, trade, agriculture, and construction. We examined whether companies provided any benefits to their employees concerning health awareness. Among respondents those who offered various services of medical specialists and/or discounted gym or swim passes in addition to compulsory medical examinations were hard to find, however, more employers organize health and sports days. In conclusion, while workplace health promotion is necessary it requires a change in employers’attitudes.

ANALYSIS OF FACTORS INFLUENCING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AMONG THE POPULATION OF HAJDÚBÖSZÖRMÉNY OVER 65 YEARS OF AGE
67-76Views:226The importance of physical activity is increasingly recognized by many people, both laymen, and professionals. Regular exercise at all ages contributes to strengthening the different dimensions of health. Ideally, physical activity is integrated into our lives from an early age, however, based on public health indicators, unfortunately, the opposite trend is to be seen in Hungary. One of the most striking features of demographic processes is the continuous increase in the number and proportion of the elderly population. In an ageing society, it is crucial to maintain good health conditions for people over 65 for the following reasons: to improve the quality of life of the individual, to reduce health expenditures, and because of the inevitably increased number of elderly in the labour market. National demographic changes are just as characteristic in Hajdúböszörmény, so it is worth examining the components of the physical activity of the local population. The aim of our research is to explore the characteristics of exercising related to work, transport, household work, and leisure sports. Unfortunately, as well as the amount, the quality of the population’s time spent exercising is below international recommendations. Mapping the exercising motives of the elderly confirmed our assumption that the preservation of physical and mental health is the main drive behind the activity of the target group.

INVESTIGATION OF RECREATIONAL CONSUMER HABITS AMONG HUNGARIAN YOUNG ADULTS
33-44Views:1157Background: In our modern world the importance of how are we able to spend our leisure time is getting more and more significant. This approach is particularly important regarding youngsters. The generations of Y and Z are mainly mobile and they all were born in the world determined by electronics, where everything can be accessed and managed online via the internet. Because of this comfort, leisure time has been more passive, and unfortunately, the physical activity has not had recently as important significance as it was before. Results: Our paper conducted a survey about the leisure time habits of young adults and youngsters under 30 years old age. The results were analyzed with SPSS 21.0 software, we looked at baseline statistics and performed a Chi2 test with a gamma coefficient in a cross-table analysis. The focus has been placed on revealing potential differences in residence and net monthly income per capita. The results confirmed that respondents in the capital are more likely to engage in daily sports activities, while those who are living in villages are more likely to spend their free time with physical activity. Conclusion: We found that there is no justification for the big difference between one's leisure time spending and income. Outdoor activities received lower ratings from respondents with a net monthly income of fewer than 100,000 Ft per person.

USING DIFFERENT TEACHING STYLES AND THE IPOO MODEL
39-47Views:256Quality PE teaching requires the application of a wide variety of both direct and indirect teaching methods. The aim of our research is to examine the efficiency of teacher-centered (DM) and student-centered (IM) methodology in accordance with the IPOO model (Mező, 2011) in all fields of sports education. The action research was carried out in year five in two classes (n=46): the focus was on developmental aims in handball prescribed in the curriculum. On the basis of the IPOO model lessons in the DM (sample) and IM (control) classes were held through 4 weeks, 2 lessons a week. Students’ motivation in PE was examined with H-PMCSQ-2 questionnaire during the last lesson; while basic technical handball skills were examined before and after the experiment. Results show that indirect teaching methods have a more complex educational effect; it could influence important cognitive and affective domains.
