ANALYSIS OF FACTORS INFLUENCING PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AMONG THE POPULATION OF HAJDÚBÖSZÖRMÉNY OVER 65 YEARS OF AGE
67-76Views:226The importance of physical activity is increasingly recognized by many people, both laymen, and professionals. Regular exercise at all ages contributes to strengthening the different dimensions of health. Ideally, physical activity is integrated into our lives from an early age, however, based on public health indicators, unfortunately, the opposite trend is to be seen in Hungary. One of the most striking features of demographic processes is the continuous increase in the number and proportion of the elderly population. In an ageing society, it is crucial to maintain good health conditions for people over 65 for the following reasons: to improve the quality of life of the individual, to reduce health expenditures, and because of the inevitably increased number of elderly in the labour market. National demographic changes are just as characteristic in Hajdúböszörmény, so it is worth examining the components of the physical activity of the local population. The aim of our research is to explore the characteristics of exercising related to work, transport, household work, and leisure sports. Unfortunately, as well as the amount, the quality of the population’s time spent exercising is below international recommendations. Mapping the exercising motives of the elderly confirmed our assumption that the preservation of physical and mental health is the main drive behind the activity of the target group.

49-58Views:779Nowadays sedentary lifestyle is at the forefront. In our spare time, both passive and active recreational trends and activities appear. The role of leisure sports is getting more and more appreciated among health-conscious consumers. Several studies proved that regular sports activities are projective factors against lifestyle-dependent diseases, so they are excellent means of prevention. Methods: Our study examined the leisure habits of Romanian and Hungarian residents, their activity in sport, their attitude towards active recreation activities, and their openness to new methods. The results were analyzed by using SPSS software. Results: The results underline that passive leisure activities (watching television, listening to music, reading, surfing the internet) are popular in people's lives, although most people live a sedentary lifestyle. People, who exercise in their free time have noticed a number of positive effects on themselves. 80-90% of respondents interested in new methods and would like to take part in sports events at work, at school, or at university.

THE 7 CORE PRINCIPLES OF WALDORF EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD)

It seeks to stimulate lifelong learning in all students while also allowing them to fully utilize their individual abilities. Hence, the objective of this study is to establish how the seven core principles of Waldorf education will assist children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to flourish. The Waldorf method, according to Priyanti and Warmansyah (2021), is utilized to help children attain a delicate blend of genuine experience, which leads to a strong level of confidence in their abilities. This applies the acquired abilities to use especially for ASD children. Furthermore, the significance of this paper can also assist the educational system in identifying the methodological underpinnings that will benefit these special kids. This study is a review of the literature to determine how the seven key principles of Waldorf education support children's moral growth and encourage free and independent thought, which promotes self-discovery. ASD children benefit greatly from educational philosophies that encourage the development of successful social-emotional behaviors and academic skills. Waldorf education, an educational philosophy that emphasizes developmentally appropriate hands-on learning, has been shown to improve social and academic outcomes for children with disabilities such as ASD.

THE OXIPO GAME COLLECTION FOR DEVELOPING COGNITIVE ABILITIES
63-73Views:1328This study is a presentation of the first phase of a complex research project which aims to present the theoretical background of a new game collection (based on OxIPO model). We have compiled a game collection to improve cognitive abilities in early childhood. Concerning cognitive abilities, Affolter's (1972), Sindelar's (1994) and others' earlier developmental approaches took into account visual, auditive or motoric (inter) modalities of perception, however, we believe we need a more complex model to cover the full capability. Within the framework of the OxIPO model (Mező, 2002, 2016), learning is interpreted as an information processing process. In the OxIPO model (Field, 2002, 2016), Learning = Organization x (Input + Process + Output) allows us to control and systemize not only the input modalities but also the output modalities and also to interpret some cognitive abilities in the process phase. We have created a game-collection based on six input (visual, auditive, kinesthetic, olfactory, gustatory, and tactile) modalities and five cognitive abilities (perception, attention, memory, conceptual thinking, problem-solving thinking) and three output (visual, auditive, motoric) modalities. The outcome of the six input modalities and the five target abilities and the three output modalities there are 90 different games that can be described by the OxIPO model. In the future, we would like to prove with empirical studies that this game collection can be used for testing and developing 90 independent cognitive abilities. On the other hand, we need to prove that these cognitive abilities indeed influence the daily lives of children and their effectiveness.

Pro-drop in Farsi: A Case Study of Bilingual Speakers
127-136Views:27This research is meant to uncover some of the internal grammatical structure of bilingual Farsi speakers who have English as their dominant language. Bilinguals, whose mother tongue is Farsi but whose dominant language is English, are influenced by their dominant language on their mother tongue concerning pro-drop. One of the issues often seen in bilingual speakers of null subject languages is the use of pro-drop in languages such as Hungarian, Japanese, Chinese, Slavic languages, and Arabic. This paper will demonstrate how these bilingual speakers incorrectly use the null subjects in their sentences and in addition, how SEN children i.e. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) understand and use the pronoun-dropping phenomenon. Choosing a null pronoun in the non-dominant language seems unacceptable to some speakers because their dominant language lacks pro-drop; therefore, in certain situations, researchers might say that these bilingual speakers do not sound as fluent in their native language as they do in their dominant language. Impact of the Pandemic on Adults' Social Relationships and Health
51-62Views:87During the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath, numerous researchers have investigated the societal impacts of the pandemic, the resulting changes of which continue to be integral parts of people's lives. Generally, it can be stated that individuals' health behaviors have significantly transformed due to the restrictions. In our study, we examined Hungarian adults (n=336), focusing on assessing their experiences related to harmful addictions, mental health, and maintaining social relationships. The respondents reported that over half of them communicated and/or met with acquaintances and friends less during the pandemic. 72% of the respondents reported smoking the same amount, while 36% consumed the same amount of alcohol as before the pandemic. Regarding harmful addictions (alcohol consumption and smoking), a proportional relationship was found between the frequencies of the two variables. Those who smoked more than before the pandemic also consumed alcohol more frequently, and this trend was also observed in the decrease in frequencies. Respondents who did not experience changes in their smoking habits also held similar views on alcohol consumption. Women respondents exhibited greater emotional fluctuation than male respondents when asked about the frequency of experiencing depression and feelings of hopelessness. Overall, the majority of participants (54.8%) experienced worsened mental health due to the pandemic, and it was found that the adverse effects of the pandemic period were more pronounced on women's (60.3%) mental health compared to men’s (46.2%).

FREE- AND VIRTUAL SOUND FIELD LOCALIZATION TASKS: COMPARATIVE STUDY OF SIGHTED AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS
5-20Views:132The present study focuses on the examination of sound localization abilities of sighted and visually impaired persons. Sample: n = 59 (50 sighted and 9 visually impaired) persons, and 30 sighted persons. Method: we used Leybold 58707 piezo sound source in an anechoic room, and in the case of simulation of a virtual sound field, we used the Alice software in order to examine sound localization. Result: there is no significant difference between sound localization achievements of sighted and visually impaired persons in the free sound field. The localization uncertainty is higher when we apply a virtual reality simulator.

NEW APPROACH TO ANALYSIS OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED YOUNG WORKERS: THE PRECARIATE
7-17Views:196The study focuses on the labour-market situation of young graduates utilizing the database of the Hungarian Graduate Tracking System. The purpose of the research is to map certain characteristics of the precarious situation posed by the labor market on this group which is in a rather favorable labor market position in comparison to other groups. The concept of the precariat is defined as a type of labor-market uncertainty, in which unfavorable working conditions, like insecure short-term jobs, fixed-term employment contracts, low wages, etc. are concentrated. In addition to the lack of financial security, these characteristics may lead to general insecurity and in some cases to labor market and social exclusion (LaVaque-Manty 2012, Standing 2012). This analysis focuses on the presence of a precarious condition that creates an insecure labour-market situation among young graduates and it attempts to find the main explanatory variables in the interpretation of this phenomenon. In addition, it investigates whether socio-demographic, socio-cultural characteristics, like gender, marital status, type of qualification (BSc, MSc, or Ph.D. degree), and the type of settlement (village, town, city, etc.) affect success in the labour-market. Preliminary results support previous studies that found women in the labor market were disadvantaged. For example, the proportion of women with a fixed employment contract is higher than men, and the interruption of a labor market career is more characteristic of women. More women gave a positive answer to ”I am not working at the moment although I have previously had a workplace”. This suggests that women are more affected by a less stable and less secure labor market than men.

73-82Views:171The study intends to describe and compare the characterology and image of woman of the 19th -century philosopher, Arthur Schopenhauer and Otto Weininger, a philosopher-psychologist living at the turn of the 19-20th century. The philosophy of Schopenhauer and Weininger represents surprising coincidence concerning the role of woman in life, the differences between the two genders, and the inferiority of women. With some smaller digressions – such as the function of psychology, character and gender, the duality of gender roles, and the woman as a diametrical human being - we get hold of a picture of the two philosophers’ theory. The current study tends to introduce a kind of psychology which can be regarded as a psychological attempt preceding today’s psychology; furthermore, it examined the relationship system of individual and genders from an absolutely different perspective.

COLLEGE STUDENT’S LIFE STYLE AND THEIR ATTITUDE TO SPORTS
19-27Views:263The authors study by using questionnaires the amount of time spent by college students at the Applied Humanities and Pedagogy Faculty of Szent István University (n=127) on body hygiene, sleeping, meal, participation in lessons, active-passive exploitation of free time. Results: Meal – the students consume in great amount chocolates, chips while their fruit and vegetable consummation seem backward. Move – the proportion of students doing regular physical education is no more than 21 %, 55% are not involved in any sporting activities, 13 % do not like anybody's movement. Others – 39 % of the students spent more than 1-2 hours daily in front of a computer or TV set. The results suggest that in the teacher candidates’ scale of values the place of health falls too much behind.

DIDACTIC GAMES TO DEVELOP MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN KINDERGARTEN
83-93Views:315Children with developmental disorders do not acquire the same way as do children with an age-appropriate intellectual level, so it needs to be carefully chosen what kind of methods to use and in what way to teach the children. For preschool children, the most efficient and simplest method of teaching mathematics is a playful approach to learning activities. The purpose of this work was to create a set of materials to support the teaching and learning of mathematical concepts for preschool-age children with special needs. There were created learning materials such as Train, Shelves, Long and short, Butterflies and cars, Wide and narrow road, and board game Owls. All the learning materials, including a board game, are laminated and most of them are provided with velcro strips to stick different parts. All the learning materials are tested on preschool-age children and asked specialists and teachers, who work with children with special needs, to give their expert evaluation. Learning materials support teaching mathematical concepts for preschool-age children with special needs.

Grades of Students with Learning Disorder and Preference of their Subjects
19-29Views:84In the study, based on the 2017 6th grade National Competence Measurement (NCM), we examine the average of the end-of-semester and end-of-the-year subject marks, as well as the diligence and behavior marks of children with learning disorder. In the research, we also discuss how children like different subjects depending on the existence of each learning disorders. In the research, we created seven categories (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyslexia-dysgraphia, dyslexia-dyscalculia, dysgraphia-dyscalculia, and all three together) depending on how much and what kind of learning disorder the child suffers from. Based on our results depending on the learning disorders, there is indeed a difference in the child's subject performance as well as in his/her liking of the subject, so treating the learning disorders themselves in this way in a uniform manner based on the above-mentioned is not necessarily lucky. In relation to subject preferences, the majority of children do not like those subjects in which the particular learning disorder causes problems for them.

Assimilation and Acculturation Processes in the Study of Inter-Ethnic Marriages

This article delves into the dynamics of inter-ethnic marriages in the Turkestan region of Southern Kazakhstan through the lens of assimilation and acculturation theories. Utilizing data collected from 45 interviews across five villages, including Zhana Iqan, Hantagy, Shornak, Turki poselkasy, and Kentau, the study explores various aspects of daily life such as language usage, religious practices, traditions, cuisine, and ethnic values. Research questions probe how individuals negotiate cultural differences in their interactions and interpret multicultural coexistence through assimilation, acculturation, and dissimilation theories. The hypothesis posits three cohabitation patterns -acculturation, assimilation, and dissimilation- equally valid within the same cultural and geographical space. Employing qualitative methods including interviews and surveys, the study uncovers patterns of adaptation and the degree of assimilation or acculturation within relationships. By analyzing data through the prism of assimilation and acculturation theories, the study sheds light on how cultural elements are integrated into daily routines and decision-making processes within inter-ethnic marriages. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how individuals navigate cultural diversity within marital relationships, enriching scholarly discourse on multiculturalism and societal relations.

The solution to solve the problem could be special methods for children with learning difficulties.

Data-Driven Music Therapy: Application of the Model in the Development of Children with Special Educational Needs
55-66Views:69Data-based music therapy is associated with the name of Suzanne B. Hanser (1999), a music therapist from California, who supported the developmental effect of music with the results of her clinical research. Her publication entitled The New Music Therapist's Handbook is a guide to the organization, planning, implementation, and evaluation of this music therapy model. Since data-based music therapy is an objective, clear and goal-oriented model. There is an indispensable part of this model and basic conditions in the application of it in the precisely defined preparation, intervention and measurement moments. However, strict planning and organization become the main virtue of the model when evaluating the results achieved, as it provides accurate and irrefutable results. The data obtained this way, represent the totality of the results of observations and experiments.The main pillars of the model are the following: observation, goal-oriented planning, implementation, and objective measurement. An objective and completely clear evaluation of music therapy is provided by the measurements specified in the model. The calculation of the reliability rate and its expression as a percentage, as well as the baseline observation, are complemented by the narrative report of the music therapy supervisor with a description and evaluation of the achieved musical and non-musical therapeutic goals. This article to present describes the application of data-based music therapy in the case of a juvenile with special educational needs studying in special educational institutions.
