CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL PROCESSES IN HAJDÚDOROG
33-50Views:531Our research conducted in Hajdúdorog is a part of a longer, multiple part research series, in which we will identify the main social features and map the current social processes in the less populous settlements of the more deprived regions of the country in particular. Basically, the aim of our research is to understand and present the perspective of the local people. The decisive criterion for the selection of research sites was that the smaller settlements of these peripheral regions are subject to rather unfavorable socio-demographic processes, including in particular the decline in the population, aging, and the increase in the share of the disadvantaged populations. These processes – unless there are significant changes – project an even more unfavorable vision of the future. The adverse socio-demographic processes described above are definitely observable in Hajdúdorog. Related to this, the primary objective of the research was to understand the opportunities, goals, and vision of the local youth most affected by migration, as well as to recognize the local community relations and the characteristics of cohabitation of the Roma and non-Roma population in particular.

KNITTED MOVEMENT ACTIVITY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
125-132Views:136It is a generally accepted fact that every child follows a different pace of development. The main protagonists of participation in physical education and physical activity are the children and the teacher. Active participation in physical education and physical activity can be a challenge for children with special educational needs (SEN), and adapted physical education and maintaining physical activity can be a challenge for teachers. The focus of the article is the physical activity of children with special needs and the methods that help them develop an active lifestyle. The study emphasizes the importance of adapting physical education and using individualized programs in order for all children to successfully participate in physical education activities. However, the topic is not new, and the author points to foreign and domestic research that examines the importance of regular physical activity for children with special needs. What is new, however, is that the article examines the topic from the child's perspective and focuses on solutions. The announcement highlights a permanent process to ensure that all children can successfully participate in physical education activities. The article discusses in detail the possibilities of adapting physical education and physical activity, which satisfy the unique needs of children with SEN, which affect the following topics: characteristics of children with SEN, the importance of physical activity, adapted physical education programs, treatment of problems in the psychomotor area, ensuring successful participation, as well as modification options and suggestions.

SIBLING CARE - SIBLINGS CARING FOR ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES
111-121Views:543The increasing life expectancy of adults with intellectual disabilities has raised new questions and challenges for families. Depending on the severity of their condition, people with intellectual disabilities need support from their families and environment to vary degrees throughout their lives. They depend on their family members, which addiction is a new problem as parents get older, and care will be the responsibility of siblings who are already living independent lives, sometimes geographically far away. Sibling care should be interpreted differently than when it is performed by a parent or a paid carer, it is more emotionally complex, its content and direction are diverse. We know not too much about sibling caregivers, we only have hypothetical answers to the questions based on a small number of studies or research in similar areas. This paper aims to provide an overview of the situation and motivations of adults who care of and take responsibility for their siblings with intellectual disabilities, and of their role and interaction of the various influences that help them understand. Getting to know siblings is necessary in order for the support system of the special education and social policy to adapt properly to the situation of the - unfortunately - barely ‘visible’ population.

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS AND ACTION OF HUNGARIAN SPORTS POLITICAL, FROM 1945 UNTIL THE CHANGE OF THE POLITICAL REGIME AND THE FOLLOWING YEARS, ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF FOOTBALL
19-33Views:376The aim of our present theoretical study is to explore and present the sport policy measures and marketization processes within the Hungarian sport and football that started and has been going on as a result of neoliberal thinking in our country since the change of the political regime (1989/90). In our paper, we are looking at these potential causes based on the research findings and studies that have emerged in this topic. Our goal is to find the events that triggered changes from 1945 onwards, which could have led to changes in the sport policy processes and possible paradigm shift. Our goal is to focus on the sport of football in sports politics and to look for links in connection with the football academies. Our study has several chapters. In the first major part, we review the situation of the Hungarian sport in the light of sport policy changes from 1945 until the change of the political regime and the following years. In the second major chapter, we survey the major sports policy measures and related changes in football during the same era. In the third subsection of this chapter, we discussed the major political changes in football academies in a separate subchapter. As a result of our research, it has turned out that the change of the political regime brought up significant political changes both in sports and properly in the field of football. The major change could be the marketization process with which our country's football started to follow western patterns. The widespread dissemination of football academies can be explained with a set of political decisions. Even though they have been working for almost 17 years in Hungary they can not fully justify their legitimacy.

USING DIFFERENT TEACHING STYLES AND THE IPOO MODEL
39-47Views:256Quality PE teaching requires the application of a wide variety of both direct and indirect teaching methods. The aim of our research is to examine the efficiency of teacher-centered (DM) and student-centered (IM) methodology in accordance with the IPOO model (Mező, 2011) in all fields of sports education. The action research was carried out in year five in two classes (n=46): the focus was on developmental aims in handball prescribed in the curriculum. On the basis of the IPOO model lessons in the DM (sample) and IM (control) classes were held through 4 weeks, 2 lessons a week. Students’ motivation in PE was examined with H-PMCSQ-2 questionnaire during the last lesson; while basic technical handball skills were examined before and after the experiment. Results show that indirect teaching methods have a more complex educational effect; it could influence important cognitive and affective domains.

DISADVANTAGES AND SUPPORT: THE PLACE AND ROLE OF THE SOCIAL CARE SYSTEM IN THE LIVES OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES
63-76Views:493According to the data of the census in 2011, the majority of people with disabilities live in private households, while a smaller proportion of them live in institutional care. The number of families raising a child with disabilities is over 62 thousand. Research results show that providing and caring for a family member with disabilities puts a particularly heavy burden on families. Social policy instruments play a significant role in reducing the burdens of the affected social group. The present study provides an overview of the system of social benefits and services which aids the everyday lives of persons with disabilities and their families caring for them. It presents the current types of social policy instruments which support persons with disabilities and their families caring for them. We investigate whether the currently available social policy instruments are able to promote the social participation and integration of people with disabilities and their families.

MANAGING BEHAVIORAL DIFFICULTIES OF THE FOLK SCHOOLS IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 20TH CENTURY IN HUNGARY
41-54Views:167The end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century was a period of widening education and eradicating illiteracy in civil nation-states. The compulsory education laws also provided opportunities for the lower social classes to obtain a school qualification that also contributed to improving their social situation. The school as a socialization terrain, in its standards, behavioral and knowledge expectations, served the political and social stability of the current system. Because in many different groups of society they differ in many ways from the expectations of the school, in the behavior of the students, they caused the existence of permanent discipline problems, which were repeatedly dealt with in the pedagogical and psychological press and publications. Discipline generally meant creating an external order, in which the main role was the example of the teacher. During the reward and punishment, the goodwill and justice of the teacher were considered important. The forms of punishment were different at the school level. At elementary school, pupils were first given oral warnings. Then the parents were informed, then the teaching staff and the guardians took action. In secondary schools, punishment ranged from verbal reprimand to exclusion from school. In high schools, physical punishments were forbidden.

FIRST-GENERATION YOUNG PEOPLE'S CHANCES OF OBTAINING A DEGREE BASED ON A LARGE SAMPLE ANALYSIS
17-30Views:116Thy system of higher education can be analysed from the aspects of inequalities. The chance of attendance, the achievement, the phenomenon of drop-out, and types of training programs are approached from the students’ social background. Our analysis focuses on the chance of graduation of first-in-family people. The relatively rigid feature of Hungarian society and the lower mobility rate create a specific background for our research. Hungarian Youth Survey 2016 and 2020 databases were used during this analysis and we separated the subsample of young people between 25 and 29 (N2016= 2906, N2020=2874). We try to discover the patterns of parents’ educational reproduction, describe the features of first-in-family people, and identify those factors which can form the chance of graduation. A binary regression model was run by us in which the dependent variable was the obtaining of a degree and the list of independent variables contained socio-demographic variables (sex, type of settlement, the economic situation of the region, economic situation, parental educational level, the type of parental profession), different life events (crises, the number of children, etc.) and the identification with the parental lifestyle. With these results, we can identify such an intersectional life situation (being a woman, habitation in cities, more favourable economic situation, mother’s white collar work, medium parental educational level, without children) in which the chance of graduation is higher.

THE ISSUES OF TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES TO LEARNERS WITH A SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY
31-52Views:436To make language teaching effective, it is important to consider the forms of language teaching, especially when we talk about learners with a specific learning disability. Our theoretical paper tries to review the literature of language teaching and dyslexia. The goal of our paper is to briefly present the definitions of dyslexia as well as to describe its signs and symptoms. This paper deals with the issues of language acquisition and language teaching, focusing on the difficulties which emerge when learning English. A dyslexic learner usually has difficulties in reading and writing in his L1, their reading is slower and they have problems with reading comprehension too. Besides the possible difficulties, we also discuss the strengths of dyslexic learners as their most important compensating skills are global/holistic thinking, visualisation, creativity, and problem-solving. Our paper also deals with the regulations governing language teaching in schools and the issues of choosing the language to learn at school. In higher education and in the world of work, speaking foreign languages and having language certificates are advantages, consequently, it is necessary to have appropriate course material. Language learners with dyslexia also have to take a school-leaving exam /GCSE in a foreign language, which is why our paper also deals with the output of language teaching in schools as well as the possibilities for dyslexic candidates offered by some Hungarian language exams (ORIGO, BME, DExam, ECL) The paper also mentions the issues of course material and language course books, as well as addressing the question of inclusive teaching for dyslexic learners. We also discuss the competencies required by a Special Educator as a language teacher, as he/she can help students, not only in learning English but also in the integration process.

THE PLACE OF THE GYPSY LANGUAGE IN PUBLIC EDUCATION
73-81Views:152The Hungarian gypsy population is not only varied from the social, cultural, and ethnic side, but also from the lingual viewpoint. The education, health, the situation of the labour market, and the social sciences discourses are continuously in connection with the Gypsy people. At the same time, the examination of the gypsy language and the use of gypsy language can only be the interest of a narrow professional circle, while the phases of gradual language changes, language retention, and loss, or the language policy issues are showing particular problems. We are talking about a language that has been able to preserve its origins, besides the forced lingual and ethical assimilation. In our country, the form of national upbringing and education is always really closely related to educational policy. In my opinion, every student in the educational institutions is enriched with the knowledge of other nationalities' cultures and language, as they have the opportunity for studying it. During the statistical analysis, we looking for answers to the question of whether this relationship can be traced between the territorial distribution of Roma Gypsies and the schools of Gypsy nationality education.

THE EXAMINATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES ABOUT THEIR VISION OF FUTURE
57-67Views:1219Background and Objectives: the examination of the vision of the future of young people with learning disabilities it rarely comes into the focus of research (Mártonfi, 2011; Móré and Mező, 2016), though the foundation of a successful, happy life is that everyone can realize themselves according to their own goals. The present study deals with the vision of the future of young people with learning disabilities. Our aim is to find out what have life goals and prospects of young people with learning disabilities. Methods: the participants were youngsters with learning disability attending vocational school (N=46) and their teachers (N=76), and the answers we were evaluated using SPSS, descriptive statistics, and Spearman's rank correlation. Results: The life goals of young people with learning disabilities in vocational schools have a happy life (rs = 0.43), success (rs = 0.45), and work (rs = 0.45), and starting a family is pushed into the background at this age. There is no strong correlation between young people's life goals and further education. According to the opinion of teachers, there is no significant relationship between the success of acquiring a profession and their standing in the labor market. From a life perspective, some educators consider starting a family conceivable for young people with learning disabilities.
