About

This journal was published first in 1999 in hard copy, as the journal of the College of Szolnok. After the organisational transformation of the college, the issue of this journal was taken by the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Debrecen.

Since 2015, the journal is issued only online, twice a year (in June and November) as an open-access journal. The articles and studies published on the website are free to download, copy, disseminate, search and referred to, by precisely indicating the original source.

The journal does not charge any article processing charges (APC) and any other costs for the publication of the articles. For long-term storage, the published articles automatically get into the Electronic Archives of the University of Debrecen where they are free to download. 

Economica publishes studies in Hungarian and English primarily in the fields of economy, business administration, sports and management science, business science and financial science.

The review of the submitted articles takes at most 4 weeks, and after review the articles are continuously uploaded to the website.
