    The aim of the study is to analyse the kinematics and the workspaces of two parallel manipulators. The kinematics are calculated using vectors and the Newton method. The workspaces are shown using constant orientation. The result of the study is that the kinematics and workspaces are comparable of the two manipulators. MATLAB was used for calculating.

  • Designing, Modelling and Analysis of Straight Turning Tool Geometry

    We execute the planning, modelling and examination of straight turning tool geometry with the help of a software in the modelling space. Our aim is to create a programme that – given some lengths and angles – calculates the corresponding geometry. It establishes that as a wireframe model in a file format that is easily transmittable to the CAD softwares of today, so any additional changes can be done there. An optimal geometry can be defined for the best possible chipping conditions using finite element simulation and with given technological parameters and material quality standard.

    Évszázadok óta a különféle rendezvények, főként a fesztiválok fontos szerepet töltenek be a társadalom életében. Számos kutatás, tanulmány született már korábban, amelyek a magyarországi és külföldi fesztiválokat elemezték gazdasági, társadalmi és kulturális szempontból. A vizsgálatok elkészítésének alapvető problémája, hogy központilag nincsen vagy kevés adat áll rendelkezésre gazdasági hatásvizsgálatok elkészítéséhez. A kutatásom célja a meglévő adatok alapján egy átfogó gazdasági hatásmérés elkészítése a debreceni Campus Fesztiválról.

  • Development of Gait Recognition in NI LabVIEW

    Nowadays, one of the most significantly improving area in security is the world of biometric identifiers. Within the biometric identifiers, the research group is working with the gait recognition speciality. The research group realized a complex gait recognition system in NI LabVIEW, that can detect more reference points simultaneously with a universal camera and is capable of suiting predetermined curves on the detected points. Moreover, the program can compare the functions suited on the reference curve and the actual curve and evaluate if the two gait images are the same or not. In the program there is a saving and a reloading function which contributes to the production of the reference gait image. The foot analysis program before the gait recognition is designed to improve accuracy. The self-developed gait recognition system was tested on more persons and the False Acceptance Rate (FAR) was zero.

  • Greywater Treatment with Oxidative Agents

    In our research we pretreated synthetically produced greywaters with filtration on various filters, then we treated the samples with oxidative agents. We characterised the quality of greywater samples with several parameters. We investigated these parameters on the untreated, pretreated, and oxidated samples as well. We evaluated the efficiency of the treatments by measuring the characteristic parameters. In addition, we investigated the changes on the filter media’ surface with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). It was shown, that the most effective treatment combination for the greywater’s preparation for reuse is the filtration on silica sand or activated charcoal and silica sand combined filter media, then oxidation with hydrogen peroxide (10 mmol/dm3).

    In the following we are researching different methods of vehicle dynamics simulations. Starting from a simple two-wheeled vehicle model, we are showing ways to simulate the movement of vehicles with real suspensions on any surfaces. MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape provide very suitable resources for the above mentioned purposes. The benefits of such vehicle model become obvious because of the fact during the physics simulation we can access all the data we need to simulate any control algorithms for vehicles: in this article we are presenting a simple ABS control simulation.

  • Developing of Analytical Methods for Determination of Greywaters’ Detergent Content

    In our research we improved the technologies for the determinations of greywaters’ detergent content. We examined the quantity of anionic detergent (ANA) in synthetic greywater with Hyamine reagent using two-phased titrimetric method. We added to the synthetic greywater samples phenolphthalein indicator, acid mixed indicator and chloroform. After we shaked the mixture, and we got two separated phase. We titrated the mixture with cation active Hyamine reagent. The quantity of the chloroform and the quality of greywater samples (syntetic and real) were also changed in these experiment to determinate the actual ANA content. It was shown that the applied method is representative and reliable, too.

  • Debrecen légszennyezettségének vizsgálata epifiton zuzmók nehézfémtartalmának tanulmányozásával

    Kutatómunkánk során Debrecen város forgalmasabb csomópontjaiban vizsgáltuk a levegőminőséget nehézfém tartalom szempontjából. Vizsgálatainkhoz epifiton indikátornövényeket gyűjtöttünk Debrecen meghatározott útszakaszai mentén, és városon kívüli kontrollterületen. A mintavétel a zuzmók vegetációs időszakának megfelelően március elején történt. A begyűjtött minták tisztítását, szárítását és roncsolását követően vizsgáltuk azok toxikus fémtartalmát Induktív Csatolású Plazma- Optikai Emissziós Spektrometria elven működő készülékkel. Összesen 9 fém koncentrációját vizsgáltuk, többek között a nickel, ólom, réz és cink tartalmat.

    To understand “Home 4.0” you must know about the industrial revolutions, specially about the fourth one, which is often called “Industry 4.0”. The automatization process and the mapping of mechanisms and resources in the cyber-physical space are getting more and more popular in the households. From there comes the term in the title. Analysation of the currently used smart home technology was made and a model that simulates real life events with smart home criteria was created. The model is controlled by a central control unit, the front panel and program of which is also created. Important features such as lighting, heating, cooling and security system, fire protection, controlled consumer electronics, sprinklers and motors came true.
