STUDENT’S ATTITUDES TOWARDS CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY
7-15Views:603Several studies have shown that integrated education has advantages in students’ social development and accepted attitude development (Meyer, Park, Grenot-Scheyer, Schwartz & Harry, 1998). The studies about the integrated education had been traced for several decades, our research is based on the CATCH (Chedoke-McMaster Attitudes Towards Children with Handicaps Scale) questionnaire (Rosenbaum, 1985) which instrument had been used in several international studies as well (Tirosh, 1997; Vignes, 2008; Godeau 2010; Bosseart, 2011; De Laat, 2013, Schwab, 2017). Our major aim is to map the adolescent youth, their attitudes towards children with special treatment. The questionnaire was based on the three-component model of attitudes proposed by Triandis (1971). This 36-item, the self-administered scale was primarily paper-based, but our adaptation is placed on the online form. The participants of the study were 7th-grade students (N=99) The overall reliability of the test was satisfactory (Cronbach-α= 0,856). In the content analysis, we found two items that were significantly negative and four items which were not significant, those leaving the KMO= 0,809 (KMO>6), therefore suitable for factor analysis. The results show that, however in our sample, these three-component factors aren’t so clear, the test is reliable. There are some subtests that call for a revision, and we will need further researches to develop our assessment tool to make it more reliable and valid.

EARLY INTERVENTION IN THE LIGHT OF A RESEARCH
17-32Views:677Nowadays, the number of children with special educational needs (SEN) is increasing, which poses new challenges for both parents and educators. It is therefore important to research this topic from the perspective of parents and professionals. At the beginning of 2019, we conducted a questionnaire survey on early intervention in Hajdú-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties. The online and paper-based questionnaires were processed by parents (N = 103) and professionals (N = 106) (kindergarten teacher, special education teacher, conductor, etc.), for a total of 209 questionnaires. Data collection was anonymous and participation was voluntary. After processing the data in the questionnaire, we analyzed the obtained results using an Excel spreadsheet and a SPSS statistical program. The results show that both parents (76,7%) and professionals (71.7%) believe that the development of children with SNI was fully or strongly influenced by integration, i.e., they were positively assessed. Parents of healthy children accept integration, in different settings (43.7% of respondents in kindergarten, 37.9% in school, 67% in the playground) fully accept children with special educational needs who accompany their intact child.).

CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL PROCESSES IN HAJDÚDOROG
33-50Views:531Our research conducted in Hajdúdorog is a part of a longer, multiple part research series, in which we will identify the main social features and map the current social processes in the less populous settlements of the more deprived regions of the country in particular. Basically, the aim of our research is to understand and present the perspective of the local people. The decisive criterion for the selection of research sites was that the smaller settlements of these peripheral regions are subject to rather unfavorable socio-demographic processes, including in particular the decline in the population, aging, and the increase in the share of the disadvantaged populations. These processes – unless there are significant changes – project an even more unfavorable vision of the future. The adverse socio-demographic processes described above are definitely observable in Hajdúdorog. Related to this, the primary objective of the research was to understand the opportunities, goals, and vision of the local youth most affected by migration, as well as to recognize the local community relations and the characteristics of cohabitation of the Roma and non-Roma population in particular.

RESEARCH ON THE RELATION BETWEEN THE SUBJECTIVE SENSE OF HEALTH AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
51-64Views:577A number of methods have evolved for assessing our health in parallel with the expansion of scientific knowledge. Medicine describes our health through objective methods and measurable variables. Of course, we also have an image of our own state of health, which, for all its subjectivity, is a good indicator of our physical and mental processes. Our sense of health can be a genuine reflection of our state of health, which directly and indirectly affects our professional/academic performance. We have a constantly expanding knowledge of the beneficial effects of the increase in physical activity on health, and its mechanism of action can be interpreted from a number of aspects. The examination of the health and physical activity of the secondary school age group provides useful information for individuals, parents, and those working in the field of education (education policymakers and educators). In this research, we examined the relationship between the level of physical activity (relative to the recommendations of WHO) and the sense of the health of high school students, their school performance, and the appearance of various emotional factors. Then we complimented it with a study of the motivational background for those aged 14 to 18. During the analysis, we identified a significant link between high levels of physical activity and the high quantified value associated with the sense of health. We found no significant correlation between academic performance and physical activity levels. We experienced a significant relationship between emotional factors when comparing the categories of happiness, mood, energy, as well as sadness, and fatigue with physical activity. Among the motivators for exercise, the improvement of physical condition is prominent, and this age group clearly rejects the expectations of others. It is also instructive for those working in the field of physical education that the experience of exercise is critical for members of the age group.

SHAPING YOUTH ATTITUDES TOWARDS PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES – RESEARCH REPORT
65-86Views:245The objective of this article is to present the results of studies on attitudes of secondary school students towards people with physical disabilities. The research was conducted among pupils of high schools, technicians, and professional schools in Poland. On the basis of the results of the research, it can be stated that the attitudes of young people towards people with physical disabilities vary (from negative to very positive). Moreover, attitudes towards people with physical disabilities are related to knowledge about physical disability and perception of parents' attitudes towards people with physical disabilities.

POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES OF THE EFFECTS OF ONLINE AND IN-PERSON INFORMATION PROCESSING ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF LANGUAGE SKILLS IN CHILDHOOD
101-110Views:337The following study provides a brief overview of some research findings, both Hungarian and international, that draw attention to the dangers of using digital devices in childhood, particularly to the potential for damage to the nervous system, locomotor, and speech development. In all cases, we seek to support the data with clear explanations, from the standpoint of developmental neurology and language development. As a counterweight to the questions raised, we will present equestrian and storytelling task types that illustrate the essential role of personal presence heard speech, and (mainly outdoor) exercise in the development of children's partial skills, such as speech production, speech perception, and speech comprehension. Each of the cases reported here stems from the experience of our equestrian practice. This awareness-raising study was designed to draw attention to the fact that the optimal timing of children’s encounters with the digital world is still unresolved, and that the marginalization of the off-line world poses more dangers than many people think.

REGION, RELIGION AND POLITICS PRESENTED ON RADIO BY PROFESSOR MANDICA MANJA KOVAČEVIĆ, PH.D.
111-119Views:155Doctor Mandica Manja Kovačević (1929–2011) was a professor at several Croatian teacher training colleges (Čakovec, Kutina, and Gospić) and the author of three books and some 60 papers in various journals. She moderated a weekly ten-minute program for the local radio station in Gospić in the first decade of the 21st century. Thus, more than 300 radio contributions were produced, of which seventy were published in the book “Life on the Highest Wave” (Gospić, 2010). By researching and presenting phonographic recordings not included in the aforementioned book, this paper focused on the topics dealing with the affairs from the Croatian society in the first decade of the 21 century serving as an original sample by means of which Professor Kovačević had presented her personal views and attitudes resulting from life experience and local and traditional expectations. Professor Kovečević’s original reviews have attracted the attention of a large number of listeners because they have been able to find answers to questions that are usually contemplated by a contemporary man torn apart between existential challenges and spiritual search.
