  The author is trying to discover the causes of tensions between the young and the old. She highlights the fields of cogitation and personal development, the differences and similarities between the two generations, furthermore, she offers alternative solutions to reduce the tensions. She explores the difficulties of the conditions of the young and the elderly. The author would like to achieve that different age groups would get to know each other’s problems, and functions of life stages. By revealing this she hopes to decrease the generation gap. Further aim is to promote the prevention of ageism and the approach of generations.

  Az idősöknek saját magukkal kapcsolatos negatív sztereotípiáik is befolyásolják az időskori jelenségek megélését. Akik az idős kort a magányosság korának tartják, hajlamosak a magányosság fokozott megélésére. A magányosság átélése szorosan összefügg az észlelt szociális támogatás mértékével. Az észlelt szociális izoláció az élet minden szakaszában számos kedvezőtlen egészségi mutatóval kapcsolatos, így a depresszióval, alvászavarokkal, romló kivitelező funkciókkal, növekvő kognitív hanyatlással, rossz kardiovaszkuláris funkcióval és csökkent immunitással (Berg-Weger és Morley 2020). Különösen idős korban szaporodnak a magányossággal kapcsolatos hátrányok. A szociális szférában különösen az idősekkel foglalkozók megterhelései vezethetnek kiégéshez, így témánkhoz kapcsolhatjuk a kiégés megelőzésének és kezelésének szempontjait is.

  Digitalisation is one of the most important elements of the changes of the 21st century. The study describes the social impact of some areas of digitalisation, especially for the older generations. Beyond the health aspects there are two areas - the supporting power of the community and the fight against loneliness - which give the core of the social importance of the innovative solutions in Hungary.

  Az AGE Platform Europe egy nemzetközi n szervezet, mely az Európai Unió döntéshozatali mechanizmusaiban az idősek érdekeit igyekszik képviselni. A Gerontológiai Tudományos és Koordinációs Központ – mely a Debreceni Egyetem Egészségügyi Kar Gerontológiai Tanszékén működik 2011 óta a szervezet teljes jogú tagja. A nyilatkozat a gondozás és a munka összeegyeztetésének nehézségére, valamint a gondozók támogatásának szükségességére hívja fel a tagállamok figyelmét.
