Guidelines for Authors

Dear Author,

The full review process of the manuscripts is performed in the ojs.lib.unideb.hu/economica system. Our future authors can submit their manuscripts and monitor the review process on this interface.

To upload the article, an author’s registration is necessary, and during this registration, please tick not only the “reader” but the “author” role as well. If you perform review as well for the journal, please tick all three roles (reader, author and reviewer).

IMPORTANT! Please ensure during registration that in the publication interface, you are on the site of the journal ECONOMICA, and click the Registration button here, as you can upload an article only in this way.

For registration, you need your ORCID identifier, which can be made on the site orcid.com.

By clicking “Submissions” and the tab “New submission”, you can start the upload of the manuscript for review. A document WITHOUT name, affiliation and any information referring to the author shall be submitted, otherwise the manuscript shall be returned.

The uploaded manuscript shall be in .doc or .docx format.

On the tab “Entry of Metadata”, please enter the specific data of the study. If the title starts with a definite/indefinite article, add this article as a prefix. If the title does not start with an article, press “Space” for prefix. In the box “type”, enter the word “text”. Give the title, the abstract and the keywords in English as well. Give the keywords one by one, and after each keyword, press Enter.

Formal recommendation

To each submitted manuscript, an Author’s declaration shall be attached, in which the authors state that the research was designed and performed by themselves, they took part in the writing of the manuscript, and they approved the content thereof.

The journal shall not charge any processing or publication fee.

Mandatory elements of the submitted text:

  • Hungarian manuscript in .doc / .docx format;
  • length: at least X thousand and at most X thousand characters (with spaces, abstract, references etc.);
  • an English abstract with a length of at least X and at most X characters (with spaces) attached to the manuscript;
  • figures, tables shall be attached in a separate excel file, a single figure/table on a single sheet, with the necessary background data;
  • Precise use of the reference style (see description below) - based on the APA reference style - or in case of a reference management software (EndNote, Zotero etc.), the precise use of the reference style APA (issue 6).
