    In this paper I look back to the main stations of Pál Makó’s life, born in Jászapáti in the century before the Bolyais, and I recognize his achievements on the 295th anniversary of his birth. The years spent in the Theresianum in Vienna, where mathematics and experimental physics were ordinary and as an extraordinary teacher of mechanics, are an outstanding stage in his work. He has written numerous European-level textbooks in mathematics, logic, physics, philosophy, and other disciplines. His European-level textbooks have founded that the development of natural sciences in Hungary in the second half of the 18th century could
    catch up with more developed regions of Europe.

    The Kürschak’s theory of evaluation is considered one of the most beautiful chapters of modern algebra. It was created in 1912 by József (Josef) Kürschák who had been presented the formal definition of valuation and formulated the axioms. By our paper we intend to retrace the scientifically work of Josef Kürschák, who was one of the great characters of Hungarian mathematical school. Two important events make this particularly timely: the anniversary of his scientific teacher recognizing and assisting mathematical talents. One of the best-known mathematical competitions, the Kürschák competition keeps the memory of his name.

    The theoretical computer science went through enormous development in the past decades. His results due to the widespread use of computers infl uence our daily work without the use of it we cannot imagine our life already today. But perhaps few people think that talented Hungarian mathemati cal generation worked in 20 and 30 years of 20. Century without whose acti vity these applications could not have come into exist. In our paper we present the results of Pál Erdős and along with a new generati on of mathemati cal chapter openers, which developed common theory through research and which become since the basis of computer science and informati on theory.
