Publication Ethics
Publication Code of Ethics and Archiving Policy
The author shall publish objective, independent, new or novel findings, which are worthy of the expectations for scientific work (e.g. primarily the appropriate citation of references). Any inputs or findings appropriated from others or wilfully altered shall be considered as unethical. The author shall submit his/her manuscript only if it is his/her own work. If the author uses the thoughts, findings or conclusion of others, he/she shall indicate (cite) it in the appropriate location. Manuscripts already published or being currently reviewed by another scientific journal are not permitted to submit to Economica. Manuscripts being currently reviewed or already published by Economica are not permitted to submit to other journals.
The editorial board of the Economica shall assess the submitted manuscripts objectively, by considering only the scientific quality. Our journal shall ensure anonymity for the authors and the reviewers as well. The editorial board shall be liable for the quality of the formal and linguistic editing. If any scientific ethics complaint is received regarding a published manuscript, the editorial board shall proceed in this case. If the editors of our journal detect any breach of ethics in a published manuscript, they shall proceed according to the guidelines of the Commission on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The reviewer shall keep the manuscript confidential, i.e. he/she shall not use any information therein for his/her own purposes. The reviewer shall give his/her opinion and remarks unambiguously, objectively and supported by arguments. The reviewer can undertake the assessment of the received manuscript if he/she feels competent in the given topic, i.e. if he/she is able to give critical opinion and constructive recommendations of sufficient standard regarding the manuscript, within the given deadline. Manuscripts cannot be assessed if there is a suspicion of incompatibility between the author and the reviewer (fellow author, consultant etc.).
To each submitted manuscript, an Author’s declaration shall be attached, in which the authors state that the research was designed and performed by themselves, they took part in the writing of the manuscript, and they approved the content thereof.
