Absztrakt

A fogyasztási, illetve megtakarítási magatartás két legnagyobb hatású modellje Friedman permanensjövedelem-hipotézise és Modigliani életciklus-hipotézise. A tanulmány áttekintést ad a két elmélet kialakulásának körülményeiről, tartalmáról és következtetéseiről. Ahhoz, hogy még teljesebb képet kapjunk a vizsgálat alapjául szolgáló modellekről, megemlítünk néhány vitát, melyek hozzájárultak az elméletek nem egyértelmű pontjának tisztázásához. Sorra veszünk továbbá olyan lehetőségeket a hipotézisek kiegészítésére, amelyeknek célja a leegyszerűsített, elvont, elméleti síkon jól működő teóriák valóságnak megfelelőbbé tétele.
