  A tanulmány Eckhardt Sándor történetírói pályájának a Minerva folyóirathoz köthető szakaszát
  vizsgálja az 1920-as évek első felében. Ebben az időszakban Eckhardt elsősorban a Minerva Társaság
  és a folyóirat munkatársaként tevékenykedett. A tanulmány célja, hogy az itt megjelent teoretikus
  írásokat a folyóirat szűkebb kontextusában, valamint az európai történetírás tágabb összefüggésrendszerében
  értelmezze. Külön figyelmet kapnak a felvilágosodásról és a francia forradalom
  eszméiről szóló tanulmányok, valamint azok a Bessenyei Györgyhöz kapcsolódó szövegek,
  amelyek ugyan nem a Minervában jelentek meg, de szervesen illeszkednek a korszak felvilágosodásdiskurzusába.

  The present paper focuses on Sándor Eckhardt's study on Balassi and Eckhardt's major works in this field, with particular emphasis on their significance in philology and literary history. It reviews Eckhardt's contribution to the textual criticism of Balassi's oeuvre and how he shed new light on the poet's work in the context of the Renaissance and Hungarian literary tradition. The analysis also touches on the methodological innovations that made Eckhardt's work a defining achievement in 20th-century Hungarian literary historiography. The present paper thus not only summarizes but also evaluates Sándor Eckhardt's role in the history of study on Balassi's poetry

  It can rightly be said that the synthesis entitled "The French Spirit" represents the greatest achievement of historian Sándor Eckhardt's work, and is also a representative expression in Hungarian intellectual history. In close relation, the study examines various stages of synthesis creation, emphasizing the different manifestations of the intellect within the context of historiographical trends. Thus, we are analysing the triple ideology within which, according to the author, the French nation progressed from the Song of Roland to the 20th century.

  We encounter debates and disagreements every day. From this perspective, interpreting a debate may not seem extraordinary, but perhaps the polemic between Sándor Eckhardt and Jenő Pintér is more complex than an everyday opposition. The purpose of this study is to reconstruct the ideological background of the debate and to highlight the opposing positions of the two scholars. From this approach, Sándor Eckhardt's and Jenő Pintér's interpretations of the relationship between positivism and the history of ideas can gain meaning.

  In Margitta, Bihar County (now Marghita, Bihor, Romania), there has been a centuries-old history of pottery. According to the legislation, the pottery association was formed in 1874. Its charter is described in the current study. The document lays down the rules of the organization, which – among others – refer to entry and exit, and clarify the rights and duties of the members, define the operation and organizational structure of the association and the to-dos in the event of termination or fusion with another corporation.

  Teacher Klára Papp's main research area is Bihar, the settlement and population history of Bihar. The protagonist of my short article also comes from this region, but he is a special figure. Szávó Zubán, or as it is usually written: György Szávó (or Száva) was actually a Hungarian nobleman of Serbian origin, from Pécska on the bank of Maros in Arad. Despite his origin, he was the first lieutenant of Rákóczi’s War of Independence. We know that he was a Hungarian nobleman from Gálospetri, but he declared himself to be of Rác (Serbian) ethnicity. He fought through the Kuruc freedom struggle, and then in 1717, he went to war against the Crimean Tatars invading from the North-East. Throughout the War of Independence, he was a senior lieutenant in the cavalry regiment of Sándor Károlyi, the commanding general in Tiszántúl.

  he members of the Miskolczy family of Mezőtelegd were the key members of the
  public life of Bihar county in the 18–20th century. The present study analyzes three roles
  related to the 19th century elite counciousness, based on the family's document legacy.
  The first example is jr. Lajos Miskolczy, the county's opposition politician, then
  through the life of Sándor Miskolczy, we examine a soldier career, finishing with
  presenting Károly Miskolczy's decades long history-themed collecting activities.

  There were several pottery centres in the historical Bihar county region, all of which look back at a long line of history. However, it is difficult to create a valid picture of the pottery of former centuries, since very few dishes remained in the collections of museums, the place and time of preparation of which is known. Therefore, the vessels of the Lord’s table play a crucial role regarding the research of ceramics, because as they are unique decorative pots, in most cases, their makers left their name, date and place of making on them. These pieces of data might mean a starting point to determine the origins of other pottery without a date, such as the products of the so far little researched pottery centres of Bihar with a long history. In my study, I analyse the vessels of the Lord’s table that were made for the parishes of Bihar in the olden pottery centres of Bihar: Belényes, Mezőtelegd, Oradea, Marghita and Salonta.
