The purpose of the paper is to present the connetion between the Total Traceability Management (TTM) software and the technical solutions for predictive maintenance. As a key function of the TTM, the predictive maintenance module is based on conditioning monitoring systems. Sensors for measurement of temperature, color, vibration, force, chemical composition, ultrasound waves, light, dimensional, are developing on the global market as part of the 4th industrial revolution, Industry 4.0. The TTM is combining the factory floor technologies with the informatics systems as ERP, customer portals, and MES, through a specific algorithm and based on PLC and sensorial hardware. The TTM is becoming a mandatory requirement for automotive industry as stated in the new norms of AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group), VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry), and JAMA Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association. The approach of this paper is a theoretical presentation of the practical experiments presenting the most modern solution in terms of software, sensorial installations, monitored equipment and the realized outputs. The TTM concept are not yet fully mature, various solutions being deployed on the market with specificities for diverse industries.

The topic of the given task based on the optical opposition of a mounted printed circuit board using National Instruments software. During the inspection, 7 types of resistors, 3 types of integrated circuits, barcodes and text were detected. The results of the detection have been visualized and a Microsoft Excel scan report has been exported. The optical inspection was carried out using the National Instruments Vision Development Module and LabVIEW development environments.

The topic of the research is the design and building of a UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle), which we can control wirelessly with a glove designed for this purpose. The design and use of this gesture-controlled robot can be observed in this summary. A camera will be installed on the robot unit, whose image we can query through the local network. Furthermore, the hardware and software for this camera system will be described as well.

Solar energy systems have emerged over the last decades as the cleanest and most abundant renewable energy resources available worldwide. Solar trackers are devices specially developed to enhance the energy efficiency of solar energy systems. This paper presents the design and implementation stages of a reconfigurable hardware technology-based two-axis solar tracker platform, specially conceived to improve the energy efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) panels. The main module of this platform is the NI-MyRIO ready-to-use development system built upon a high-performance Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) processor that controls the entire solar tracker unit. Optimal tracking of the sun movement and obtaining the maximal energy efficiency rate is achieved by simultaneous real-time controlling both the captured sunlight intensity and PV cell temperature magnitudes. In this way, a robust and versatile positioning system has been developed that performs a high precision and accurate tracking pathway. All the control algorithms are implemented there under the LabView graphical programming software toolkit. The final solution boosts in a useful and modularized tracking system that looks useful in a wide range of applications both in industrial and domestic project sites with different power scales.

As it is well known, an accurate knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) cell parameters from experimental data is of major importance for estimate their performances and to implement high energetic efficiency PV plants. In the last decade several solar cell models, respectively a high amount of software toolkits have been developed to evaluate their electrical behavior and performances. This paper is focused to introduce a LabView graphical programming language based solution to conveniently modeling, simulate, and evaluate solar PV cells energetic efficiency. By using their well known electrical equivalent circuits a fast and accurate PV simulator has been designed and implemented for research and energetic efficiency studies. The simulation models used has been validated through comparison of the obtained characteristics with the ones given by the manufacturers of PV panels. The computer-aided simulation results carried out are in a good agreement with the manufacturer’s catalogue data and the LabView-based program can serve as a very useful toolkit for engineers or researchers who require an accurate PV simulator and evaluate the performances of any photovoltaic module.

This paper presents the development process starting from a simple electronic module for amplification of EMG signals. During development the tasks to be solved were extended towards the creation of an EMG-base controller that eventually can be connected to a PC. Among the main goals were the simplicity and low cost of production. There are similar devices commercially available, but the main focus was on the whole process of design, testing, fabrication and the exploration of application areas. It was important to use medical recommendations. The device matches the suggestion of SENIAM, except for the resolution of A/D conversion, which is permissible due to the fact that it was not designed for medical purposes. The final version is capable of detecting and amplifying EMG signals, with the appropriate filtering and digitizing procedures for further processing. With the development of wireless communication capabilities, the device which can be attached to the forearm can be used as a USB HID device with a PC. A number of additional applications are also discussed, pointing out the fact that this piece of technology offers a wide range of possibilities.
