ACCESSIBLE TOURISM SERVICES IN THE NORTH GREAT PLAIN REGION
77-81Views:150In the ever-increasing competition between the tourist destinations, the rethinking of the primary and secondary attraction factors (Bácsné et. al., 2018), their re-planning, supplementation, and development are indispensable. This is also true for Hungary and the Northern Great Plain region, where the availability of therapeutic and thermal water is a priority factor (Müller & Könyves, 2006; Müller & Kórik 2009; Michalkó & Rácz 2011; Löwei 2017). The further development towards accessible tourism, even for a long-standing, well-established destination in health tourism is to be considered, in order service providers not only could strengthen their existing position but also open up to new markets and consumer groups (Mosonyi et. al. 2013, Lengyel 2015). The understanding and implementation of strategies for new consumer groups include the product and service evaluation based on individual leisure constraints.

ROMA COLLEGES FOR ADVANCED STUDIES NETWORK IN HUNGARY
7-15Views:382Roma colleges for advanced studies network in Hungary is a unique chain of institutions for helping those students’ integration into the system of higher education whose sociocultural background might be characterized by deprivation. Recent study analyses the history as well as the networking process of Roma colleges and the paper endeavours to interpret the features of collegiate students’ dwelling-places. In the second part, the author deals with the significance of Roma collegiate students’ fields of study related to the debate coursing on the integration policy of marginalized and peripheral local ethnic communities in Hungary.

THE REPRESENTATION OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS IN CONTEMPORARY CHILDREN’S BOOKS – USING THE EXAMPLE OF THE GUARDIAN ANGEL, SIMI AND THE MESSY LETTERS, AND CSONGOR MIHÁLYI AND THE TIME PLASTICINE
67-82Views:126The present study focuses on contemporary children's books that reflect some form of special educational need. Since recently there has been an increase in the number of books on topic available in the children's book market, with publishing series, issuing the difficult life situations and on the presentation of ’otherness’, including learning disabilities, it is of great importance to take a glance at these publications. In this essay, my aim is to focus on how the texts are written and the language of representation. In particular, I will pay attention to the illustrations, which make a crucial part of the experience of reception and interpretation. With this analysis, my aim is to show how concretely or abstractly a particular educational need can be represented, whether it reinforces stereotypes or not, and how this may impact the connection to the phenomenon. The analysis of the texts also provides an opportunity to validate different attitudes, behaviours, and perspectives, and can thus contribute to sensitisation. The presentation of specific educational needs, with its positive or negative connotations, and the phenomenon of positive discrimination, are closely linked to methodological possibilities and practical implications of interpreting the texts. Here it is worthcalling attention to the concepts of helpful books, sensitisation and prevention, the relationship between these terms and literature, and reflecting on the close connection of the aesthetically shaped texts to these problems. Accordingly, the paper will first aim to explore the concept of special educational needs, then it will present its types to point out the difficulties of definition, the different approaches, and to define its own terminology. Similarly, this paper will take into account the terminology of literary studies and the perspectives relevant to this thesis. This will be followed by the analyses of the three preselected volumes which on the one hand ask whether the books are appropriate for the age group they are aimed at, while, on the other hand, they concern the possible directions for future methodological inquiries. Finally, the conclusion part summerises the results of the study and the controversies surrounding the presentation of the subject in children's books.

THE ROLE OF ADVENTURE THERAPY AND ART THERAPY ELEMENTS IN FACILITATING ENCOUNTERS WITH SEVERE AND MULTIPLE DISABILITIES INDIVIDUALS
105-112Views:332The first encounter with people with severe and multiple disabilities could be highly challenging. Physical deformities of the body and face which are highly frequent in this group, lead to subconscious rejection. The lack of verbal communication makes the relationship even more difficult, thus, nonverbal methods are effective in facilitating relationship building. Methods such as nonverbal art therapies are highly popular in creating mutually empowering relationships. Common shared active and receptive artistic experiences as well as commonly solved challenges and other elements of adventure therapy helps to facilitate group processes. In this article, we refer to a pilot project: a special experience-based facultative course about facilitating encounters with adults with severe disabilities with art and adventure-based activities.
