Author guidelines

 

Thank you for choosing Magyar Gerontológia/Hungarian Gerontology for the publication of your research.

The Editorial Board accepts manuscripts exclusively in electronic format, submitted through the journal's OJS platform.

Please ensure your manuscript is prepared according to the journal's formal requirements. Template ENG

• Subheadings: A maximum of two additional subheading levels may be used within a single chapter.

• Citations and Bibliography: Please use the APA 7.0 style for all citations and the reference list.

Title Page (Page 1): The corresponding author must provide the following details on the title page:

• Full names of all authors.

• ORCID identifiers for all authors. You can create an ORCID ID on the ORCID website: https://orcid.org/

• Affiliations: Full institutional names (for higher education: including University, Faculty, Institute, and Department).

• Abstract: The abstract must be a maximum of 250 words, written as a single, unstructured paragraph.

• Keywords: A maximum of five terms.

Manuscript Structure: The content should be organized into the following sections:

• Introduction and Literature Review

• Methods

• Results

• Discussion

• Conclusion / Recommendations

• Acknowledgements (if relevant)

• Ethical Approval (if relevant)

• Funding / Support (if relevant)

• References

External Links: Authors are responsible for verifying the accessibility of all URLs at the time of submission. If a link is broken or inactive, the reference will be removed from the publication.

Figures and Tables:

• Please provide electronic versions of figures as separate, editable files (e.g., *.tif, *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.) and not solely embedded in the Word document.

• Figures and figure captions must also be placed within the manuscript text.

• Tables or numerical data (calibrations and reference values) used to generate graphs must also be provided in an editable format.

Technical Requirements:

• We are unable to open or edit password-protected files.

• During processing and typesetting, the journal uses its own typography and font sets to ensure aesthetic consistency and precise layout.

• As publications are displayed according to the standards of professional printing and digital platforms, manuscripts will undergo technical and IT-related processing.

• The Editorial Board can only accept Hungarian or English manuscripts that fully comply with these formal requirements.

Required Files for Submission: The signed and completed Author Declaration must be uploaded to the system along with the manuscript. Before uploading, please ensure you have the following files ready:

• Full manuscript (including author details)

• Anonymized manuscript (without author details)

• Title page (containing author details)

• Editable versions of all figures and tables

• Signed Author Declaration
