Author guidelines

Thank you for choosing Hungarian Gerontology (Magyar Gerontológia) to publish your article.

 

Please use the following instructions to ensure that your paper matches the journal’s requirements:

 

Manuscripts intended for publication should be uploaded via OJS, or sent to the Editor.

The manuscript must be headed by a concise and informative title and the full name(s) of the author(s) ORCIC ID-s  their affiliations and their address(es); if there is more than one author, identify the author for correspondence (e-mail addresse, phone number).

The Hungarian and English abstract of up to 250 words (each) and maximum 5 additional key words, supplementing (but not repeating) words in the title, precede the main text.

The main text (Hungarian or English) should be followed by acknowledgements, references and captions for the figures and tables.

Manuscripts are submitted electronically as a single MS-Word doc file.

Scientific names of plants should be written in italics, authors of cited literature sources should be written in small capitals.

Tables and figures should be numbered according to their sequence in the text and placed at the end of the manuscript.

Make the titles for tables and captions for figures as self-explanatory as possible.

All illustrations, figures, and tables (minimum 300 dpi) must be sent in a separate file as well.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (Template ENG).

 

Submission Preparation Checklist:

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items (author’s name, affiliation, ORCID, abstract both English and Hungarian, keywords), and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

-          The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

-          The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.

-          Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

-          The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

All illustrations, figures, and tables (minimum 300 dpi) must be sent in a separate file as well.

-          The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (Template ENG).

-          Author’s declaration document is filled and signed.
