  A demográfiai öregedés kihívásaival az Európai Unió minden tagállamának szembe kell néznie. Ha a tagállamok demográfiai jellemzőit tekintjük, látható, hogy nincsenek lényegi eltérések sem az időskorúak jelenlegi arányában, sem pedig e ráták várható jövőbeni alakulásában. A demográfiai és társadalmi öregedés a jóléti rezsimek több területét is érinti, de ezek közül általában az egészségügyi és nyugdíjrendszert és a személyes szolgáltatásokat szokták a középpontba helyezni. A tanulmány a személyes szolgáltatások egy speciális területével foglakozik, mely ma a legtöbb posztkommunista országban éppoly új, mint amilyen régi: ez a család által végzett gondozás s ennek támogatása. A tanulmány kitér a családi gondozók támogatásával kapcsolatos jóléti politikák ismertetésére, megvizsgálja a tagállamok gondozási politikájának rendszerezési kísérleteit, elemzi a közelmúltbeli és jelenleg érzékelhető gondozáspolitikai folyamatokat, ideológiákat, s végül kitér a volt kommunista országok sajátságos helyzetére, majd bemutatja Magyarország a családi gondozással kapcsolatos gondozáspolitikáját. Az esszé alapgondolata, hogy a demográfiai kihívások ugyan hasonlók, de a szolgáltatás politika, az intézményi rendszerek fejlettsége komoly eltéréseket mutat országonként. Az országok fejletlen intézményes szolgáltató rendszerei mellett a gondozó családtagokat támogató eszközöknek pedig igencsak híján vannak a posztkommunista tagállamok.

  The latest social processes impacting companies' cultural behaviour have been studied in order to help us clarify and value the social ecosystem that benefits people. Studies have analyzed the full suite of Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, and Environment, Social, and Governance processes provided by the best companies' practices available. Corporate Social Responsibility is a common strategy of management where companies voluntarily take into consideration the environmental and social aspects as consequences of their activity. The idea of Corporate Social Responsibility started among big and international firms at the beginning and became a very popular management theory. Nowadays, small and medium-sized companies are in favour of using it as their daily routine. The management strategies, e.g. CSR, sustainability, ESG enables the companies to work more efficiently and stable.

  This study examined the access to social services for the elderly population in Tinglayan, Kalinga, Philippines, which is the home of Apo Whang-od, a globally renowned traditional tattoo artist. The case study explored the challenges and opportunities that elderly individuals encounter in accessing social services within geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) and how these dynamics have been influenced by the artist's popularity.

  In our study, we intended to identify the components of social well-being in the elderly. An examination of the intrapsychic and the interpersonal aspect also played a role in our research. A number of areas were measured by a questionnaire, such as traits, social well-being, the amount of exercise and the range of daily activities.

  Tanulmányunk célja az időskori szerencsejátékkal kapcsolatos vizsgálatok és tanulmányok rövid összefoglalása és elemzése. A fiatal és felnőttkori szerencsejátékkal kapcsolatosan kiterjedt kutatások állnak rendelkezésre, ismerjük a kórkép kialakulásában és fennmaradásában szerepet játszó fontosabb demográfiai jellemzőket, személyiségfaktorokat és terápiás lehetőségeket. Az időskori szerencsejátékkal kapcsolatosan kevés a vizsgálati eredmény külföldön és Magyarországon még nincs kifejezetten 65 év feletti szerencsejátékosokra fókuszáló tanulmány. Ezért ebben az összefoglalóban kizárólag külföldi vizsgálatokra támaszkodhatunk, a speciális minta következtében azonban a tanulmányok és következtetések száma korlátozott. Az eredmények alapján az időskori szerencsejáték különbözik a fiatal és serdülőkori szerencsejátéktól.

  This exploratory study delves into the motivational factors driving economic engagement among the elderly in rural areas of Laos, a nation in Southeast Asia experiencing demographic shifts towards an aging population. With limited research on this topic in the context of rural Laos, this study aims to uncover the underlying motivations that influence elderly individuals to participate in economic activities. By understanding these factors, policymakers can design targeted interventions to promote economic inclusion and improve the well-being of the elderly population. However, the study also uncovers barriers and challenges faced by elderly individuals, such as limited access to resources, skills, and infrastructure. Recommendations are provided to address these challenges and enhance support systems.

  Our research group identified a huge need for research on social well-being in the elderly population. In Hungary so far not much has been published in this topic, however, understanding the key elements of well-being is a growing area of research in gerontology all around the world, since it is crucial how we manage our lives in old age.
