Proofreading Criteria
Acta Medicinae et Sociologica is an edited journal. All manuscripts received by the editors are preliminary screened by the editors, and if they are formally correct, are sent to two independent external peer reviewers (Double blind review). The reviewers receive the manuscripts without the authors' names. Only if both reviewers give a favourable opinion, which is composed according to a set of criteria provided by the AMS, will the paper be published. The reviewers' opinion, without their name, will be sent to the authors together with the reviewing criteria, furthermore, the manuscripts, which are needed to be corrected or improved, will be returned to the authors for revision. The manuscript will not be published in the case of a unanimous rejection by both reviewers, and an additional reviewer will be invited for a decisive review in the case of one supportive and one rejective opinion.
If a manuscript is submitted to the journal by the Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief or members of the Editorial Committee, three independent external peer reviewers will be involved in the peer review process.
Our editors are academically qualified researchers and experts who are acknowledged nationally and internationally. Researchers and experts from different institutions are invited to review the submitted manuscripts. When reviewing a manuscript from abroad, the invited reviewers are researchers from two different countries.
