Beszámoló a Hajdú-Bihar Vármegyei Levéltári Napokról
70-73Megtekintések száma:5Az 53. Hajdú-Bihar Vármegyei Levéltári Napokat 2026. május 19–20-án rendezték
meg Debrecenben. Az eseményt az MNL Hajdú-Bihar Vármegyei Levéltára, valamint a
Debreceni Egyetem Egyetemi és Nemzeti Könyvtára szervezte. A rendezvény központi
témája a levéltári innovációk, a mesterséges intelligencia alkalmazása, valamint a kvantitatív
történetírás új lehetőségei voltak, de a történelem anyagiságának tapasztalata is viszsza-
visszatérő eleme volt az előadásoknak. -

105-132Megtekintések száma:0The Mountainous Action was the aim of the farming modernization of the Carpathian areas around the turn of the 19th-20th century. The base model was the Swiss type offarming. The idea – and thereby partly the implementation as well – was initiated by Ede Egán, who lead the Mountainous Ministerial Branch Office (established in Bereg county) between 1897 and 1901 that controlled the operation of the settlements of the four northeastern counties: Bereg, Máramaros, Ugocsa, and Ung. The lagging upland farming methods did not accommodate to the facilities, instead, they primarily meant a copying of the lowland farming methods. Besides this, another aim ofthe action controlled by the Ministry of Agriculture was to end landlessness and poverty, and to make a clear sweep of the low level educational standards and literacy. The leasing of land was managed by the entailed lordship of the Schönborn family, with governmental intervention. The Exchequer leased more than 12 000 cad. acre of land in 1897 from the lordship, which was underleased in turn to the local smallholders. This significantly alleviated the land needs of the farmers, and the majority of the leased land was gradually purchased by smallholders. Another part of the land was looked after by the Mountainous Ministerial Branch Office, which was leased primarily for grazing purposes. This version of the lease was calledlabelling. During the late 19th, early 20th century, the upland action in the North-eastern Carpathians meant, on the one hand, a national aid program affecting several areas of life in the struggle against poverty; and on the other hand, recognizing the values of uplandfarming, it provided an improvement opportunity for the inhabitants. -

53-57Megtekintések száma:0Our organization performs and supports researches about the present-day Hajdú-Bihar, the old Hajdú and Bihar counties and Partium. The biharkutatas.hu website is one of the two essential enterprises which collect the Bihar related knowledge and make it available together. The other one is Új Nézőpont (New Perspective), an online quarterly periodical which uses and publishes multidisciplinary studies. The events happening until now let us hope that both will work as highly sought and useful forums in the future, too. -
Hangulatjelentések a Don-kanyarból. Hit, önbizalom és motiváció változása a keleti fronton harcoló 10/I. tüzérosztálynál.
Megtekintések száma:1In the great narrative of World War II, the individual soldiers become obscured. Behind the summarizing and almost statistical figures, there are unfairly marginalized individuals who bore the collision of large spheres of interest. Therefore, it is important to examine military events from other angles than just the wide-angle optics of leading events. In my study, I seek to explore the problems of battalion 10/I commanded to the Eastern Front in 1942, which might have affected their level of ambition. For this, I use mood reports and relevant logs recorded by the battalion commander. Of these, I group the revealed ideas based on subject matter, and then attempt to draw conclusions based on the relationships between them. My main aim is to determine the mental state of the subordinates and the factors that influence them from the perspective of the sub-commander. This is interesting because in an autocratically organized, hierarchically structured violence organization, one-man leaders are responsible for everything they have done or failed to do. Paradoxically, it is in the interest of a commander to flatter them in the eyes of senior executives, so that this can issue a positive “certificate” of themselves, too. The study contributes to the expansion of knowledge regarding the military history of the 2nd Army of Hungary, and it also helps the development of the knowledge of today’s military leaders, making it easier for them to understand the moral changes taking place in the subunits. -
„Most pedig Biharról!” Raisz György jószágigazgató levelei a 19. század elejéről
40-53Megtekintések száma:0The Bihar estates of the Csáky family were still received from Sigmund of Luxembourg, and they became the ancient, shared estates. When their headquarters were transferred from the Principality of Transylvania to the Kingdom of Hungary in the 17th century, the estates in the Uplands and Transdanubia gained more importance. In the middle of the 17th century, Count László Csáky returned to Transylvania and established the so-called a Transylvanian branch that possessed the Bihar properties undisturbed until the middle of the 18th century. Then, during the bishopric of Miklós Csáky in Oradea, the members of the upland branch regained the manors, and after a short time, those manors were pledged again to the Transylvanian landowners. However, from 1784 they were finally taken into their hands, and from the first years of the 19th century, the members of the upland branch shared them among themselves, trying out joint possession. The family correspondence contains writings from the trustee contacting his widow after the death of János Csáky, the principal representative of the upland branch, the director of the family. From this, we can get additions about the intention and plans on the division of the estate. And also, on the basis of the three letters published here, about how the best manors got into the hands of Mrs. János Csáky (Jozefa Zichy), and what the role of the property manager was in this.
