Day by day, civil society organizations (CSOs) are becoming an increasingly important factor in all areas of the socio-economic system. The interest in their study has also increased, although the place, role, and definition of their terminology and concepts, needs to be further clarified, as their meaning changes conditionally. Through content analysis, this article reviews the literature by addressing a sample of 136 journal articles published in the period 2015-2019 in two big databases. The findings show that CSOs literature is dominated by qualitative works of social sciences authors who mostly use the term Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). This paper is also elaborated on the main themes which dominate the text of the articles. Furthermore, the main concepts of this literature, development, organizations, international, local and other words are analyzed here. The significance of this study is that it aims to provide CSOs researchers with a clearer description of the terminology and concepts the most commonly used.

The history of Hungarian homesteads in the last two and a half centuries has shown that, despite their ingenuity, the inhabitants of the homesteads had to cope with a lot of obstacles in order to be sustainable. Nowadays, in the fight to make life easier for the struggling residents and to keep the younger generations in place, it is the homestead caretaker who takes up the fight against the unending problems in the framework of the caretaker service as a basic social service. The primary goal of our study was to obtain up-to-date data from caretakers on the operation of caretaker services in Hungary, and secondly, we sought to answer the question of how professionals judge the manifestation of the organizational values of services. Based on the answers received, it could be stated that similar improvements are idealized regardless of the form of maintainer of the respondents (n = 131), and that in order to optimize work performance, service managers should make better efforts to interpret novelties and different opinions.

Of the democratic political system, plural profile civic organizations are essential components. A special feature of the bottom up organized civic organizations, with increasing number after the change of regime in Hungary, is the strong correlation with/dependency from the subsidies. In 2003 a comprehensive, application based subsidy system was introduced (National Cooperation Fund (NCF) in English, Nemzeti Civil Alap, NCA,in Hungarian)), and this one now called Nemzeti Együttműködési Alap (NEA) provides support for approximately 10% of the organizations of the civic sphere by providing finance for operational and program-related costs. From the beginning the system has changed considerably, and currently, it provides even pre-financed subsidy for the prepared organizations. Through the available, related statistics our study aims to highlight some specialities of the subsidy system in a way which is different from the usual program calls. The essay revals that currently available data, sources can only be assessed with considerable cautiousness, and it also details that although reqirements of the access did not really change, still the year of 2024 without the compensation will have an impact on the predictability of this subsidy form.
