A legfontosabb változás – The Most Significant Change
Views:109It is becoming increasingly apparent to NGOs that the measurement of their social impact is not merely a requirement for project reporting but a well-chosen measurement method for the organization’s profile and programs can be an important pillar of communication and even professional work.
The article discusses an experiment that focuses on the experience to approaching impact assessment and evaluation methods. The „Most Significant Change” participatory methodology is based directly on the person’s subjective experience, not guided by a predetermined „external” logic and path of the researcher. Epizodisták főszerepben – a szenvedélybetegek testvérei
Views:416In this study I take a closer look at siblings of drug addicts. We can find similar researches about parents and spouses, but rarely about siblings. The purpose of this study is to bridge this gap. In this research, five semi-structured interviews were conducted with members of the Blue Point Foundation Sibling Group, and one interview was done with a non-member. The interviews were processed with thematic analysis.
Results: The results show that substance use was negatively altering the relationships between siblings and family members. In all cases siblings were aware of substance use way before their parents. They feel responsible for saving the drug user family member. Substance use negatively affects school achievements, work performance and day-to-day life of those around the user.
Conclusion: I would like to raise the attention of professionals and parents for the need of helping siblings of drug users.

Szociális munka és hatalom. Széljegyzetek Krémer Balázs vitairatához
Views:189In this writing, I will add notes to Balázs Krémer's discussion paper. In his paper, my colleague linked the identity crisis of the social work profession to the relationship of the profession to power. I agree with the findings of the discussion paper. With my remarks, I try to broaden the perspective of the discussion of the issue with recalling historical and international experiences, and on the other hand, I support the findings of the study by highlighting other facets of these findings.
