About the Journal

Focus and scope
The journal has always collected original contributions and research in the various fields of Italian studies: literature, linguistics, history, cultural studies, cinema and arts, as well as reviews of volumes published in the last two years in these sectors.

Our journal has a broad thematic horizon and is open to any theoretical and methodological approach.Italianistica Debreceniensis has an annual cadence and the original contributions can be in Italian or English. The issue is typically published between January and Febrauary every year.

The journal has an international scientific committee and the evaluation of the contributions will be done with a double-blind peer-review procedure with anonymous reviewers.

The journal is included in the list of Academic Journals compiled by Anvur for the area 10 and 11 (language, literature; history and social sciences).
The articles published in Italianistica Debreceniensis can be submitted for the procedures of the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) in Italy.

The journal does not charge authors any article processing charges (APCs), submission, or publication fees. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of these

History

The journal has been established  soon after the (re)foundation of the Italian Studies Department at the University of Debrecen under the direction of Prof. Imre Madarasz. The aim has always been to spread original research in the field of Italian Studies carried out by our Department and in Hungary. 
Recently the Journal evolved in a more open platform with a new scope and broadening its reach.
