  Kesztűs Lóránd 1951-ben dékánként első vezetője lett a Debreceni Tudományegyem Orvostudományi Karából alakult Debreceni Orvostudományi Egyetemnek, amely még két időszakra (1959-1963, 1967-1973) rektorának választotta. Meghatározó szerepe volt az új intézmény intézetei és klinikái infrastruktúrális bővítésében, a növekvő hallgatói létszámú orvosképzés korszerűsítésében, a tudományos kutatások eredményességének növelésében, a regionális és országos szakmai tekintélyű klinikai betegellátás fejlesztésében, a centralizált pártállami politikai rendszer korlátai között  teljesítmény alapú, demokratikus intézményirányítás kialakításában. Nemzetközileg elismert kutatási eredményeivel és tudománypolitikai tevékenységével a hazai immunológiai és allergológiai kutatások megalapozója. A Magyar Tudományos Akadémia tagjává választották. Intézetalapító és szervező, tankönyvírói és iskolateremtő munkásságával a kórélettan korszakos jelentőségű professzora. Barátságos, közvetlen és nyitott személyiségének fontos szerepe volt az eredményes, sikeres  munkát biztosító intézeti és egyetemi alkotó légkör megvalósulásában. Életpályájának bemutatása volt közvetlen munkatársa monográfiáján alapszik és tartalmazza három másik professzor (ketten korábbi rektorok) visszaemlékezését.

  Chapters and Sketches of Portraits pertaining to the History of the Soccer Division of the Debrecen University Athletic Club. The Athletic Club of the University of Debrecen (DEAC) was established on the first day of August, 1919, by the University’s managers, professors and various renowned public figures with the primary objective of ensuring sporting opportunities and facilities for the student body, the educators and other employees of the University. The soccer club of DEAC achieved the peak of its development in the 1960s and 1970s, when the University’s team managed to qualify to play in the second division of the national football league (NB II). In those days the team attracted large crowds. Each team member was a student and they also were successful as students. Besides offering a survey of tangible successes in football, the present discussion also highlights the subsequent careers of the respective members of the team. A number of these successful soccer players also achieved outstanding professional careers, some of them became professors, well-known medical doctors, school pricipals, and sports managers of international rank The survey also introduces those university managers who supported and promoted the quality sporting activities of the students. The essay is a much-needed elaboration adding substantially to a better understanding of the scope, the past and present of the University of Debrecen. It is both a history of sport and the history of an institution.

  A Kossuth Lajos Tudományegyetem két kara, a Bölcsészettudományi Kar és a Természettudományi Kar, valamint az ún. központi egységek 1950. január 1. és 1990. december 31. közötti archontológiáját a Rektori
  Hivatal személyi kartotékjai és anyagai, valamint a kevésbé dokumentált ’50-es évek tekintetében kiegészítőleg a Személyzeti Osztály éves kimutatásai alapján készült. Ennek ellenére a rendelkezésünkre álló
  anyag nem lehet teljes és nem lehetséges teljes pontossággal összeállítani az archontológiát. Jelen XV. rész az Idegennyelvi Lektorátus dolgozóinak listáját adja a lektorátus vezetőtől az ügyintézőig.

  The Assista nt Personnel of the Medical School of the University of Debrecen, 1919–1950. Part 2: The Clinics/1. Indispensable participants of the teaching and therapeutic activities of the Medical School of the University of Debrecen were the personnel assisting the work of the professors. The register is designed to serve as an overall recording of the pertinent data of the departmental professors, assistant professors, instructors, interns, and teaching assistants. In this second part the assistant personnel of the following  clinics is registered: Clinic of Neurology and Psychiatry, Clinic of Ophthalmology, Clinic of Pediatry, Clinic of Dermatology and Sexual Pathology, Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.   The foundation history of the Stomatology Clinic in Debrecen. The Hungarian Royal University was opened in the autumn of 1914 and the Medical Faculty was formed in 1918. Already in 1921 the Medical Faculty has applied for the establishment of a Stomatology Clinic from the government, but mainly because of financial reasons the request was turned aside. In the upcoming years the request was repeated several times, without any success. Finally the Medical Faculty has established the Stomatology Polyclinic in the East Wing of the Surgical Clinic, which was opened in 15. February 1935. András Csilléry a dentist of Budapest the former Minister of Public Health and Welfare was called for leader in professional lecturer’s position. In the autumn of 1935 the undergraduate studies begun. In September of 1936 was a new surgery opened to treat the students in the main building of the university. In January of 1937 the school dental care was launched. In the summer of 1940 Csilléry was named university professor and he was elected as head of the Stomatology Clinic, placed in to the East Wing of the Ophthalmic Clinic of the ceremonial event on 30 November 1940.

  FERENC ORSÓS PROFESSOR OF MEDICINE, THE RECTOR MAGNIFICUS OF ISTVÁN TISZA HUNGARIAN ROYAL UNIVERSITY IN DEBRECEN DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 1923/24. Ferenc Orsós was born in Temesvár, graduated from medical school in Budapest, worked in the Institute of Pathology in Debrecen, and as a hospital commander during the WWI. He was appointed a professor of pathology, and the rector of the University of Debrecen in the academic year of 1923/24. He was the professor of forensic medicine at the Péter Pázmány University from 1936 until 1944 when he leed to the West. Later on, from 1946 until his retirement in 1955 he worked as the teacher of artistic anatomy at the Art Academy in Mainz. he name of Ferenc Orsós is well-known even today, irstly in connection to the excavation of the Katyń mass graves, secondly to his active participation in the senate discussion of the so-called 3rd anti-jewish laws. His scientiic achievements have been acknowledged not just in his time, but also today, since several of his discoveries seem to be futureproof.
