Business leaders can use several strategic tools to improve the organization, depending on what they consider to be important. The Supply Chain Operational Reference Model (SCOR) is one of these. Its importance is to link business processes, performance metrics, best practices, and technology together and to create a unified structure. It promotes communication between the stakeholders of the supply chain and improves supply chain management and the efficiency of the related supply chain improvement activities. The aim of this study is to find out how the SCOR model appears in the international literature related to warehousing and performance. What methods and tools do authors use to investigate their research questions and hypotheses? Description statistics and category selection were used to present the results of the study. The number of SCOR model researches related to warehouse performance measurments are very rare, it is rather used to describe different processes. In the future, it would be worthwhile to extend the SCOR model analyzes to further fields, especially to warehouse performance measurements.

  • Comparison of R&D innovation indicators of the visegrád group

Innovation is a crucial strategic issue not only for businesses to maintain and improve competitiveness, but also has paramount role at a macroeconomic level how a national economy is able to contribute to the national division of labour. Innovation and research and development are particular and even more crucial in post-socialist countries which are trying to catch up with Western Europe in an economic point of view. We compared countries in the Visegrád Group in the study regarding their innovation indexes, R&D indicators and corporate innovations. These indicate that countries in the Visegrád Group are lagging behind the European Union. The Czech Republic ranks the first place in almost each aspect among the countries in the Visegrád Group. As for time series indicators, there is a steadily improving tendency in R&D. Regarding measuring innovation and R&D, it can be concluded that perfect method and scorecard are not available, indexes based on varying methods may generate different results and decision taking only one index into consideration cannot be made in business practice. In my opinion, R&D indicators are dominant to a large extent in comprehensive innovation indexes that might be misleading in the assessment of innovation (particularly in corporate innovation).

  • Innovative Utilization Possibilities of Industrial Wastes from Hungary as Construction Industrial Material

The research results carried out at the University of Miskolc Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering in the Center of Excellence of Sustainable Natural Resource Management show that the physical and mechanical properties of the construction industrial products (strength, compactness) made of waste sources can be controlled reasonably by the appropriate processing technologies and under optimized circumstances and characteristics (particle size distribution, specific surface area). It was established that beside the chemical activation, the mechanical activation of solids is an effective tool for improving the product characteristics. However, this modifies the physical as well as structural, mineralogical properties of the raw materials, therefore its determination is of great importance.

The aim of this paper is to examine the efficiency of Mongolian 100 public companies listed on Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE) which are divided into 6 major sectors. This study conducts the performance of companies in terms of profitability by using three different output variables i.e., revenue, pretax profit and ROA (Return on Assets). In the beginning of this research, nine variables which are connected with profitability are chosen as output variables, while 24 variables expressing growth, financial structure, solvency, and turnover together with some fundamental financial data are chosen as input variables. 10 variables out of 24 input variables, which determine the financial structure, solvency, and profitability, are chosen as input variables based on the calculation of stepwise regression analysis. Stepwise regression, multi co-linearity analysis are made by SPSS and DEA (Data envelopment analysis) is evaluated by benchmarking package in R excel statistical program covering the period of 2012-2015. This paper uses the input-oriented version of DEA based on financial ratios and some crucial components of a financial statement. The results of DEA show that food and grocery sector was the most efficient, and mining sector was at the second place by its efficiency, while agriculture and service sector were the worse than other sectors.

The paper presents the experimental results of a research aimed at the distribution of the temperature on the circular saw blade body. The temperature was measured at two distances from the centre of the circular saw blade body (70 mm, 140 mm) by means of an infrared thermometer. Two circular saw blades with the diameter of 350 mm and a variable adjustment of the body (with slots and without the coating, with both slots and coating) were used for the longitudinal sawing of the spruce wood (Picea excelsa) with the thickness of h = 37 mm. Feed speeds ware vf1 = 14 mpm, vf2 = 17 mpm and vf3 = 20 mpm. Cutting revolutions n = 4100 /min. were constant. The measured temperature was in the range from 21 °C till 27 °C. The highest measured temperatures were recorded on the circular saw blade with the slots and coating.

The development of an efficient procedure for 3D modelling and finite element simulation of metal foams is one of the greatest challenges to engineer researchers nowadays. Creating 3D CAD model is alone a demanding engineering task due to its extremely complex geometry, and the proper finite element analysis process is still in the center of the research. The aim of this project is to analyze the related literature and to adapt the results may be considered

The study examines the relationship between mental health, resilience and perceived stress among leisureand competitive athletes. Three questionnaires (Keyes Mental Health Continuous Scale, Detected Stress Questionnaire, and 10-item CD-RISC Questionnaire) were studied, filled out by a total of 436 people, of which 297 were competitive athletes and 139 leisure athletes. The main question of my research was whether there is a difference between these three variables, and how resilience and perceived stress affect three factors of mental health, athletes in leisure and competition. The results show that for all variables the athletes of the competition achieved a better average value than the leisure athletes, and I could show a significant difference in the mean values in the case of the emotional and social well-being variables. Moreover, perceived stress had a greater impact on emotional well-being, while resilience had a positive effect on psychological and social well-being.

  • Impact of Physical Properties of Workpiece Material on Material Removal Rate at EDM

The volume stock removal from the workpiece during the EDM is one of the important parameters that characterize the productivity of the electro-erosion process itself. Therefore, in terms of the economic efficiency of the electro-erosion process, it is appropriate that the value of the MRR parameter is as high as possible. The paper describes the results of experimental research to identify the extent of influence of the physical properties of the workpiece material on the workpiece material removal rate at EDM. The experiments were carried out using an Aggregron Hyperspark 3 electro-erosion machine on selected tool steels. As a tool electrode material for experimental purposes, graphite with the designation EX-60 was chosen because of its practical advantages.
