A virtual environment was developed for PC and Android to be used with a desktop display and the Gear VR, respectively. The goal with it is to measure and enhance the spatial skills of people, because the latter can be achieved by solving simple geometric problems. Originally, this virtual environment consisted only of three such tests, namely the Mental Rotation Test, Mental Cutting Test and Purdue Spatial Visualization Test. Measurements were done in the past with these tests, but now the Heinrich Spatial Visualization Test is also included in the virtual environment. In this paper, its implementation and future measurement plan are presented.

This comparative research intends to find similarities and differences in the digitalization level of Hungary and Azerbaijan. Following the state of art in digitalization, further focus is on the digitalization of small and medium enterprises in both countries. The secondary research is done through several international reports and databases collected for years 2018-2022, depending on the availability. The comparison is performed based on four subcategories of digitization areas defined by the European Commission. The study holds its uniqueness due to the absence of comparative research between the mentioned two countries and the indicators used. The results contribute to the awareness, existing knowledge and provide future research insights into digitalization trends of both countries.

In the framework of the “Debrecen Venture Catapult Program (EFOP-3.6.1-16-2016-00022)” the colleagues of the Department of Basic Technical Studies of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen worked out workshops for secondary school students. One of the above mentioned workshops is the „Dynamics workshop supported by computer software”, the topic of which is the experimental and theoretical study of dynamic problems using highly developed computer software. Apart from describing the above mentioned workshop and the experiences related to it, we also present the reactions of the students, and describe how the workshop contributes to their widening knowledge.. Furthermore, we also analyse what knowledge, skills and information students would need to be more creative, motivated and initiative and this way more successful in their studies and at work, as well as in their everyday lives, in the field of engineering. In the end, as a conclusion, we make recommendations concerning further improvements of the workshop.
