Ethics and Malpractice

PUBLICATION ETHICS POLICY

Ethical Regulations for Publication

Táplálkozásmarketing

Táplálkozásmarketing is an electronic journal which applies the procedure of the collegial peer-reviewing (double-blind review); for this reason, every interested party participating in the publication (authors, editors of the journal, lectors and the publisher) shall equally accept the standards regarding the expected moral behaviour.

By submitting their manuscripts to the journal, all authors shall reveal that the manuscripts do comply with the highest level professional-ethical standards, having regard to the author and co-authors.

Present ethical statement is based on the guide entitled COPE (Committee On Publication Ethics).

Decision on Publication

The editor of the journal shall decide what articles submitted for publication will be published in the paper. The editor can be conducted by the guiding principles determined by the editorial committee of the journal as well as can be limited by the applicable legislation in force on defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editorial board can request the assistance of the editorial committee to make decisions.

The journal reserves the right to run the submitted manuscripts through a plagiarism filtering system (iThenticate Plagiarism Software-CrossCheck). By doing so, comparisons in more databases can be realized.

EDITORS’ LIABILITIES

Fair Play

The editor shall always evaluate the intellectual content of the manuscript irrespective of the race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, origin or political views of the authors.

Secrecy

The editor and the editorial colleagues shall not disclose any information about the manuscript submitted for publication to any person, with the exception of the author, lectors, potential lectors, other editorial advisers and the publisher.

Disclosure and Incompatibility

The materials which are waiting for publication but not yet published shall not be used for the editor’s (or editors’) own research without the author’s express permission in a written statement.

REFEREES’ LIABILITIES

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

The opinion-expressing can assist the editor in making editorial decisions and can help the author to improve the manuscript via communication with the author.

Quickness

Any chosen referee, insofar as he/she does not consider himself/herself able to express opinions on a manuscript to be published or knows that the immediate opinion-expressing is impossible, must indicate this to the editor and will be excluded from the opinion-expressing process.

Secrecy

All manuscripts arrived for opinion-expressing shall be handled as secret documents. Publication and sharing of the manuscripts are allowed only with the editor’s authorization.

Objectivity

The opinions should be objective. It is inappropriate to criticize the author’s personage. The referees should underpin their assertions by arguments.

Reference of Sources

The referee shall be able to identify the relevant published works not referred by the authors. Appropriate references shall be provided for all statements containing such observations, conclusions or arguments which were previously published previously. The referees shall draw the editor’s attention to any situation when there is a substantial similarity or overlap between the reviewed manuscript and any of those studies which are known by the referees and have been already published.

Disclosure and Incompatibility

Information and ideas obtained through opinion-expressing right shall be handled as confidential and shall not be used for gaining personal benefits. The referees shall not express opinions on such manuscripts the authors of which or companies, institutions related to the study are in a conflict of such interests with the referees which are resulting from any competition, cooperation or other relations.

AUTHORS’ LIABILITIES

Reporting Rule

The authors reporting on the original research shall accurately report the finished works in the same manner as the debates on the importance of work. The underlying data shall be precisely presented in the study. Each article shall be sufficiently detailed and underpinned by references in order to enable others to reconstruct the work. Fraud or deliberately inaccurate assertions are unethical behaviours and unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention

The authors shall make the study-related basic data available for the opinion-expressing as well as shall provide a public access to those ones if this is feasible.

Originality and Plagiarism

The authors shall ensure that the written works are completely original and if other authors’ works or texts/text parts were utilized then those ones have been properly referred to.

Multiple or Simultaneous Publication

An author must not normally publish a manuscript describing essentially the same research in more journals. Publishing the same manuscript in more journals at the same time is an unethical behaviour and unacceptable.

Reference of Sources

The works of others shall be accurately referred to.

Authorship

The group of authors is limited to those who have significantly contributed to the conception, execution or interpretation of the study. All those who have significantly contributed to the work shall be represented as co-authors. If there are other participants contributing to certain aspects of the research in merit then they shall be represented as external contributors.

The relevant author shall make sure that each of the appropriate co-authors while none of the unauthorized authors are represented in the study, furthermore, all co-authors have seen and approved the final version as well as conceded the publication.

Disclosure and Incompatibility

All authors shall disclose the results of the research or any financial or other essential conflicts of interests influencing the interpretation of the manuscript. All financial support sources of the project shall be represented.

Fundamental Mistakes in the Articles Published

If the author finds a significant mistake or inaccuracy in relation to his/her publication which has been already accepted for publishing then he/she is obliged to report it immediately to the editor of the journal or to the publisher and obliged to cooperate with the editor to revoke or correct the mistake.
