Professor László Kulin resident of the Department of Pediatrics in Debrecen. After graduating, he worked at the department, and in 1939, he became the chief medical director of the State Children's Shelter in Debrecen. Following the retirement of Professor Zoltán Bókay, he was appointed Director and Professor of the Department of Pediatrics in 1949, a position he held until his retirement in 1972. He served as Dean of the University Medical School of Debrecen in 1956–57 and as its Rector from 1957 to 1959. He played a significant role in ensuring that the reprisals at the medical university following the 1956 Revolution were less severe than elsewhere.
