The GearTeq 2021 software is a complex gear designer software which is capable to design different types of gears based on the initial geometric parameters by the user. Naturally, the users’ appropriate knowledge for the gear theorem and the manufacturing technology is indispensable for the design. The possibilities of the software are shown in this publication. The designed gear pairs are usable for different engineering fields (robots, working machines, vehicles, etc.).

  • Topology Optimization of Automotive sheet metal part using Altair Inspire

In an optimization problem, different candidate solutions are compared with each other, and then the best or optimal solution is obtained which means that solution quality is fundamental. Topology optimization is used at the concept stage of design. It deals with the optimal distribution of material within the structure. Altair Inspire software is the industry's most powerful and easy-to-use Generative Design/Topology Optimization and rapid simulation solution for design engineers. In this paper Topology optimization is applied using Altair inspire to optimize the Sheet metal Angle bracket. Different results are conducted the better and final results are fulfilling the goal of the paper which is minimizing the mass of the sheet metal part by 65.9%  part and Maximizing the stiffness with Better Results of Von- Miss Stress Analysis,  Displacement, and comparison with different load cases.  This can lead to reduced costs, development time, material consumption, and product less weight.

  • Utilization of 3D Printing in Replacement of Basic Plastic Workpieces

In the experiment, a 3D printed cogwheel is made using the FDM technology to replace a broken part in a sewing machine. The aim of the project is to examine if a 3D model can be created and manufactured using only entry-level technical knowledge and tools. By the end of the article, it will be apparent that creating functioning plastic parts with a hobby 3D printer and basic CAD experience is very much possible.

  • Automated static structural FEA environment in MATLAB using Solid Edge and Femap

Nowadays, CAD and FE software are getting integrated to each other. However, these new integrated pieces of software cannot be customized enough to analyze different optimization methods or model behavior. In this paper, a MATLAB environment is developed that connects to C# and VB programs, which use Solid Edge and Femap API functions, in order to automate the geometry modification and the FE model building and solving functions. A simple static structural size optimization problem is solved with the fmincon solver of MATLAB.

The development of an efficient procedure for 3D modelling and finite element simulation of metal foams is one of the greatest challenges to engineer researchers nowadays. Creating 3D CAD model is alone a demanding engineering task due to its extremely complex geometry, and the proper finite element analysis process is still in the center of the research. The aim of this project is to analyze the related literature and to adapt the results may be considered

We execute the planning, modelling and examination of straight turning tool geometry with the help of a software in the modelling space. Our aim is to create a programme that – given some lengths and angles – calculates the corresponding geometry. It establishes that as a wireframe model in a file format that is easily transmittable to the CAD softwares of today, so any additional changes can be done there. An optimal geometry can be defined for the best possible chipping conditions using finite element simulation and with given technological parameters and material quality standard.
