The Importance of Energy Management in Hungary
72-79Views:152One of the important elements of our everyday life is energy, but the amount of it is constantly decreasing, so it is advisable to include renewable energies in our energy management in addition to traditional energy sources. In the field of energy management, the use of renewable energies deserves attention because their share is increasing, although their percent is small. At present, Hungary and the European Union's energy policy contain guidelines that aim to increase the utilization of renewable energy sources. These directives contribute to achieving environmental and climate protection goals, job creation, territorial and urban development, and the reduction of dependence on energy imports. In my article, I would like to present various calculations in the field of energy management as a result of the previously described information and I would like to explore the energy management contexts that have come to the fore when examining residential energy consumption

Analysis of Activity Times in the Process of a Wooden Box Manufacturing
475-484Views:143The main target of companies is to earn money and achieve profit. In order to fulfil these needs, companies have to reduce their costs. Cost reduction is often associated with bad quality products, but it could be done in a different way. Sometimes it is enough to examine only their own processes and then benefit from the process optimization, process improvement or process scheduling. In this article a case study is presented, in which the differences in a production scheduling are evaluated with the application of Monte-Carlo simulation and descriptive statistics. At the end of the paper the most efficient material sequence is selected at the manufacturing company by using weighted sum model

Business Process Development with the Application of Simulation Technique
109-118Views:179The object of our work to increase production efficiency with the use of cost-efficient development tools at a Hungarian small enterprise. We apply data gathering techniques besides process modelling and diagnostic methods to reduce the total process time of the assembly process so as to induce cost reduction in the production. In this respect we investigate and rank root causes of wastes by cost-effective process development tools, like timebased FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis) as well as the 5 whys method. With the use of Monte-Carlo simulation companies can evaluate the change in the process, therefore, they can decide whether they want to carry out corrective measures or not. The accomplished changes can generate increasing competitive edge in the long run.

Analysis and Comparison of Forecast Methods for a Small Enterprise
14-21Views:386The application of forecasting models is an essential part of the profitable operations of every company. However, today’s small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) does not pay enough attention to this field. This research presents a case study in which we tried to determine the sequence of a forecasting process, furthermore, determine the best applicable method to the dataset. Seven dissimilar forecasting method was applied: moving average and weighted moving averages with different periods (2-3-4 weeks), as well as exponential smoothing. The four-week-long weighted moving average served the best solution, which was tested by tracking signal as well.

Product Assembly Process Improvement of Agricultural Cultivator Trailers
59-62Views:94The aim of our paper is to increase production efficiency of a small and medium sized enterprise by
applying cost-effective process development tools. The existence of the firms depends on their business processes,
because optimally-organised process is a key in the run of business (business run) in a productive way. In order to
keep and grow the competitive edge with the competitions, firms must supervise their processes with constant
frequency, and if it is needed, procedures must be developed. In this case, company can resort to both human and
physical resources. Our experiment focused on the development of an assembly process at a small sized enterprise.
Applying process modelling techniques, and diagnostic procedures, and also data gathering methods we try to get to
define corrective actions, with which the whole lead time can be reduced by 50%. For investigate and rank waste we
use failure mode and effects analysis and 5 whys methods.
