This study examines the album amicorum of Gergely Váradi Farkas, a Hungarian Protestant student, to explore the social networks formed during his peregrination in Wittenberg and Marburg (1607–1608). In Wittenberg, he primarily had relationships with other students, both Hungarian and foreign, and with teachers well-known in Hungary, while in Marburg, he was in contact with many professors as well as fellow students from abroad. The study attempts to capture the mediating role of Albert Szenci Molnár in Gergely Váradi Farkas’s connection to the European intellectual communities.
