Thank you for choosing to submit your paper to Ethnographica et Folkloristica Carpathica. Use these instructions if you prepare your manuscript for submission. Please take the time to read and follow them as close as possible, as doing so will ensure your paper matches the journal’s requirements. 

• The manuscript can be written in English or German.
• All manuscripts should include a title, an abstract of 200-250 words and 5 keywords in English (those written in German also). For a standardized and efficient use of keywords we suggest to use the ERIC database 
• The manuscript should not pass the 40.000 characters (including footnotes, tables, figures, graphs and spaces).
• Authors are supposed to provide their ORCID.
• The submission file can be sent in Microsoft Word (.docx).
• The line spacing should be 1,5 and use Times New Roman.
• For the sake of emphasis use italics.
• In case a bibliographical reference has a DOI number, it has to be provided; for any help check the DOI Crossreference software
• Digital images should be sent in 300 DPI resolution, uncompressed .TIFF, or JPG format. Include a separate image list with serial number, the exact space where it should be inserted and the caption.
• For the submission please use the online submission platform of the journal’s website.

References and Citations: 

Any work or passages written by other authors, contributors, or sources should be appropriately credited and referenced. List only pertinent references. Instead of in-text citation, always use footnotes in the following format: Second name Year of publication: page number (f.ex.: Geertz 1973: 59.) (f.ex.: Mikes 2018: 25, 50, 150, 230.) (f.ex.: Taylor 2012: 25–45; Holland 2016: 25.)

Every other detail should be cited in the references section at the end of the manuscript. The references are listed al­phabetically. In case that you use two or more publications by the same author (or set of authors) of the same publication year list them by letters: a, b, c. For the reference section use the following format:
