Discussion on São Paulo Mobility Plans
17-33Megtekintések száma:159Since urbanization rising and urban demographic increase, urban transportation has been an important life quality aspect and a strategic decision for cities. Mobility seems to follow citizens' behavior and be influenced by urban cultural changes at the same pace it influences back the city routine and resident’s conduct. The discussion around the future of mobility gained new magnitude nowadays since some sort of vehicles have proved themselves as the cause of significant environmental impact, while others showed themselves as alternatives of low impact for different reasons – from quality public transportation to individual transport with minimized emissions. The city of São Paulo in Brazil published its Master Plan in 2014 and its Mobility Plan in 2015, analyzing the current situation and proposing a future for the city’s transportation system. This paper intends to analyze both plans, construe the popular participation in their formulation and application, discuss how data and strategy were presented and whether they are aligned with other countries’ thinking on the subject. As a city of over 10 million inhabitants, in a Metropolitan Region of 39 cities with over 20 million inhabitants, the transportation system of São Paulo is not an easy or single-solution issue. It is known the need for a combination of different transportation modes, requiring likewise new visions for all methods. Owing to the fact that modes complete each other and, in that manner, may reach a wider range of options for the population to plan daily life, then a system with a great variety of modes ensures the best functioning of them all. This paper focuses on an outsider view that searches for answers and solutions on the São Paulo transportation system, having as a base what is considered outstanding in the world for this issue.

Urban Transportation Problems and Issues in Homs-Syria: Analytical Study of the Current Condition and Proposing Future Solutions
30-42Megtekintések száma:340Cities in the north middle east are known for their past and old valuable heritage, with a complex master plan of each one. Homs city is Syria is one of them, it has a history dates back to 2000B.C. with a unique formation of the city. However, the urban area of Homs has a very distinctive characteristics, but unfortunately it suffers from the transportation system operated. The congested and unorganized planning process have led the city to a complete mess and disorders, for all categories of its inhabitants. This study analysis the components of the transportation system, and identifies the greatest issues and problems the inhabitants suffer from, by locating the driving forces and the causes of these issues, and generally asses the quality of the system itself. Therefore, a holistic approach is proposed to improve the transportation system, and suggests some key plans to shift the city to a higher level of development. By locating the strength points, and detect the benefits of these strength points and exploit them. By evaluating the road network and create a new system that mitigates the negative environmental impacts (emissions, noise…) and reduce the crowded gathering of inhabitants, which caused a severe stress in their daily life. Overall, an attempt of implementing a new transportation system to contribute in the development process, and opens the possibility to develop other systems of the city in a sustainable framework.

Extrém sportfogyasztás vizsgálata egy kutatás tükrében
135-145Megtekintések száma:802Napjainkban egyre több kutatás fókuszál a szabadidős sportfogyasztásra, annak motivációs hátterének vizsgálatára, célcsoport jellemzőinek meghatározására. Az extrém sportok a szabadidős kínálati elemekben egyre markánsabban jelennek meg és a versenysportban is egyre erőteljesebben képviseltetik magukat. Kutatásunkban a fiatal felnőttek extrém sportfogyasztásának vizsgálatával foglalkozunk, a kérdőíveket Google Survey formájában, online kérdőíves felmérés módszerével gyűjtöttük be, melyeket legfőképp különböző social media platformokon, élzottan extrém sport érdeklődési körű egyéneket tömörítő csoportokban osztottuk meg. Az adatokat IBM SPSS szoftverrel dolgoztuk fel, alapstatisztikát és összefüggésvizsgálatot végeztünk. Az eredményeinket grafikusan is szemléltettük. Adattiszítás után 167 kérdőívet dolgoztunk fel. Az eredmények jól mutatják, hogy az extrém sportokat a férfiak preferálják inkább. A vizsgálatunk azt mutatja, hogy hazánkban a terepkerékpár, a falmászás, a mountainbike, a paintball és a gördeszkázás a legnépszerűbb szabadidős extrém sportok. A magasabb jövedelemmel rendelkező fiatalok között szignifikánsan nagyobb arányban találjuk az extrém sportok fogyasztását. Mivel költséges sport így magasabb diszkrecionális jövedelmet és magasabb költéshajlandóságot feltételez, melyet a kutatásunk is igazolt. Az extrém sportot űző fiatal felnőttek sportfelszerelés márkaválasztását nem az extrém sportspecifikus, hanem a klasszikus piacvezető sportmárkák (Nike, Adidas) jellemzik.
