Editorial Policies and Ethical Considerations
Code of ethics
The author is required to present objective, independent, new or novel results that meet the requirements of scientific works, in particular by making appropriate reference to the source works. Input data or results that have been misappropriated or deliberately altered by others are considered unethical. The author may submit a manuscript only if it is his/her own work. If the author uses the ideas, results or conclusions of others, this must be clearly indicated in the appropriate place. A manuscript cannot be submitted to our journal if it has been published or is under review in another scientific journal. Papers that have already been published in Precision Crop Production or are in the process of being peer-reviewed cannot be submitted to another journal.
The editorial board of Precision Crop Production is required to evaluate manuscripts submitted objectively, with a view to scientific quality only. The journal ensures anonymity of both the author and the reviewer. The editorial board takes responsibility for the quality of the editorial work in form and language. In the event of any scientific ethics complaint regarding a published manuscript, the editorial board is obliged to follow the guidelines of the Commission on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling the matter.
Reviewers are obliged to treat manuscripts as confidential documents, i.e. they may not use any information for their own purposes. Opinions and comments must be expressed clearly, objectively and reasonably. A reviewer may only undertake to evaluate a manuscript if he/she feels competent in the subject matter, i.e. if he/she is able to provide a critical opinion of a satisfactory standard and constructive suggestions on the paper within the time limit specified. Manuscripts where there is a suspected conflict of interest (co-author, subject leader, etc.) between the author and the reviewer will not be considered for reviewing.
All manuscripts submitted must be accompanied by a signed author's declaration in which the authors declare that they designed and carried out the research, participated in the writing of the manuscript and approved its content. By accepting the terms and conditions of publication, the author declares in writing that the work submitted to the Editorial Office is his/her own intellectual product. The Editorial Office requires that the content of the work, as well as the quotations and references contained in the work, comply with the provisions of Act LXXVI of 1999 on copyright. In the event of any copyright disputes, the author shall be solely responsible.
