Use of Generative AI
Use of Generative AI
Our journal supports the use of generative AI in the process of manuscript preparation. However, the author bears the sole responsibility and accountability for the content of the submitted article. Authors must disclose the use of AI tools upon submission within the article itself (in a separate footnote), with the following: the name of the AI tool used, the purpose of the use, and the extent of oversight. If an AI tool was used during the research process, it must be declared and described in the methodology section of the article.
Using generative AI or any other AI tool to create and/or edit figures, images and artwork is not permitted, only if it is an integral research method (eg. imagining research data), in which case the use of AI tool must be disclosed in detail.
During the peer review process, we do not support the use of generative AI tools, and urge our reviewers to not upload the manuscipt and/or their review into any type of AI tool. The reviewers are responsible for the contect of their works.
During the publication process, no AI tool is used besides basic grammar checks; no manuscipt, review and correspondence is uploaded into any type of generative AI tool, and no AI tool is used by the editors during the evaluation process.
