Ethics and Malpractice

Obligations of Authors include:

1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work,

2. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved,

3. An author should be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for specific other parts of the work.

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is their original work (data including graphs, figures, tables, and illustrations), which has not been published previously. Authors must ensure also that the submitted manuscript has not been considered for publication elsewhere. Authors are aware that if the content detailed above has been published elsewhere, our Journal cannot accept it. All manuscipts must be accompanied by a signed Declaration by the Authors document, stating that they are responsible for the research that they have carried out and designed; that they have participated in drafting and revising the manuscript submitted, which they approve in its contents.

De Remediis editors takes reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, among others. In no case shall De Remediis editors encourage such misconduct, or knowingly allow such misconduct to take place. If the publisher of the journal or De Remediis editors are made aware of any allegation of research misconduct relating to a published article in our journal, De Remediis editors shall follow COPE's guidelines in dealing with allegations.

Reviewers must treat the manuscript in a confidential manner and not use any part of the content of the reviewed manuscript for his or her future research as the reviewing manuscript is not published yet. The Reviewers also must follow COPE's guidelines for peer reviewers.

De Remediis submits all its articles to plagiarism detection and prevention software iThenticate. The generated report is sent to the reviewers along the manuscript and considered by the editors also.
