THE PREVALENCE OF THE FEMALE ATHLETE TRIAD COMPONENTS AND RISK FACTORS IN ATHLETES AND DANCERS
Views:187Purpose: The female athlete triad is a condition of low energy availability, menstrual dysfunction, and low bone mineral density common to dancers and weight-class sports athletes. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of the female athlete triad components and risk factors. The components and risk factors were discussed in light of the sources of nutritional information and factors that affected the daily dietary intake of female athletes and dancers.
Materials and Methods: Fifty-four (54) female athletes and dancers (18.96 ± 3.49 years old) answered a survey questionnaire about years of formal dance or sports training, sources of nutritional information, factors that affected their daily food choices; menstrual history, and injury history. Energy availability was estimated using the Low Energy Availability in Females Questionnaire (LEAF-Q; MELIN, et. al., 2014).
Results and Conclusion: Twenty-one participants (38.90 %) had a risk of low energy availability, while 28 participants (51.90 %) had menstrual dysfunction. Twenty participants (37%) had a history of musculoskeletal injuries. The mean body mass index was 20.46 ± 4.08 and the mean percent body fat was 18.19 ± 5.73%. The primary sources of nutritional information were coaches, peers, and magazines. Personal preference, convenience, and parents were the main factors that affected daily food choices. The prevalence of the Female Athlete Triad components and risk factors was relatively high. The presence of the components and risk - factors should alarm coaches, trainers, and parents for further tests and proper intervention measures.

KÜLÖNBÖZŐ ÉTRENDEK, DIÉTÁK HATÁSA A SPORTTELJESÍTMÉNYRE
Views:576The fuel of the human body is food, more specifically the nutrients it contains, so even non-athletes need to pay close attention to what they eat. It is even more important for athletes to develop performance-optimizing eating habits. Sport nutrition is one of the biggest opportunities for performance optimization that has become more and more important recently. There are many special diets, perhaps the best known are: ketogenic diet, Mediterranean diet, vegetarianism, paleo diet. We need to choose our diet while maintaining good health. We should not forget that a long-distance runner, for example, may need a completely different diet than a weightlifter. However, no two people are the same, individuals have different genetics, weight, body composition, movement intensity, metabolism, and the goal they want to achieve, which is why an individualized diet combination within each sport results in the best performance. In our study, we aimed to analyze the effect of diets of different compositions on sports performance based on the mentioned aspects. In the course of our work, we collected and reviewed relevant content on Google and Pubmed. Overall, it can be said that developing the right diet can be a multiplier return on investment. Sport as a physical activity determines lifestyle, including nutrition. Proper, balanced nutrition is essential for both athletes and non-athletes

A STUDY ON WORD ASSOCIATION WHEN TEACHING THE THEORETICAL RULES OF VOLLEYBALL IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Views:536Physical Education as a subject – much like other subjects – has its own literary and educational content and the primary goal is the transference of that knowledge. In this respect, it is but one subject. At the same time it is unique, being the only subject dedicated to improving the body and the physique, yet “when we talk about the internal values of physical education, we only refer to its own literary and educational content. The meaning of this phrase includes the system of movement-based activities as well as the related intellectual knowledge” (RÉTSÁGI, 2011). During a Physical Education lesson students learn and practice movement-based activities, the importance of which is to improve their motor abilities, physical fitness (MÜLLER et al., 2013. MÜLLER et al., 2017) and mental health (BORBÉLY – MÜLLER, 2008). It may facilitate the prevention of numerous deformities or ailments, thus contributing to the preserving and of one’s health (MOSONYI et al., 2013., MÜLLER, 2015). For the past few years, multinational food companies (e.g. Danone and Nestlé) have also realized this, as they began to promote various programmes to support the regular physical activities of schoolchildren (RÁTHONYI – ODOR – RÁTHONYI, 2016). Physical Education in schools can only be considered effective if students come to appreciate and begin to feel the need for regular physical activities. For that purpose PE lessons are needed to be filled with content that is serious, requires effort (i.e. it should be a challenge that inspires improvement), but at the same time, it provides every student with feelings of success and enjoyment. This work, which at many times adapts to vastly different students (i.e. differentiates), is the duty of sports specialists and PE teachers (H. EKLER, 2013).
