We sent the questionnaire online to the target group by the snowball method, the sample was 40 people, mainly students, workers, and teachers of the University of Debrecen. The majority of the repliers are visiting DEAC matches for 2-10 years. It turned out that the reason for their first visit was the love for the sport and the effect of their friends. INVESTIGATION OF THE MOTIVATION OF THE SUPPORTERS IN VOLLEYBALL MATCHES IN THE EXAMPLE OF DEAC
Views:390In the present study, we investigated the motivation of people attending volleyball matches of the Debreceni Egyetemi Atlétikai Club. In our complex research, we investigate the passive sports consumption of teams competing in the spectator sports of the DEAC university club. The present study explicitly examines the spectatorship of volleyball, as we are curious to discover whether the followers of different sports show different motivations. The method chosen for the research was a questionnaire delivered online to the target audience using the snowball method. The resulting sample of 128 respondents was relevant to the opinions of 54 respondents. Based on our previous research, we hypothesized that one of the main motivation factors would be the game's beauty and the sport's aesthetics. Our hypothesis was confirmed; our study found that not only one of the main factors but the most important motivating factor is the beauty of the sport; as in the present study, the aesthetics and excitement of volleyball was the most important motivating factor for the respondents.

AZ MLSZ TÁMOGATÁSI SZABÁLYOZÁSÁNAK ÉS A KIEMELT AKADÉMIAI RENDSZER KAPCSOLÓDÁSI PONTJAINAK ELEMZÉSE A FELNŐTT FUTBALLBAN, 2021–2026
Views:16This study examines the incentive schemes implemented by the Hungarian Football Federation and the Hungarian government that aim to promote the participation of domestic and young players in the Hungarian football first league. The aim of the research is to demonstrate how, from the 2021/22 season through the 2025/26 season, the regulatory and financing mechanisms that directly or indirectly influence clubs' player policies, youth development strategies, and squad management have evolved. The study is based on document analysis: it reviews the decisions of the Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) Executive Committee, competition regulations, distribution rules for property rights, and the legal and institutional frameworks governing the operation of state-recognized sports academies. The analysis addresses the development of the MLSZ's support system based on playing time for young and domestic players, the stricter playing time requirements introduced in the 2025/26 season, as well as the role of the National Sports Methodology Institute's (NSMI) productivity expectations and the financial incentives associated with priority academy status. The study highlights that during the period under review, incentives for fielding Hungarian and young Hungarian players emerged, supported by increasingly robust financial and institutional tools within the regulatory environment of Hungarian soccer. The direction of the regulatory process suggests that, within the subsidy-dependent operating model of domestic clubs, the integration of young players does not in itself necessarily constitute an economic imperative; therefore, the MLSZ and the state institutional system are attempting to steer clubs toward the more regular fielding of domestic and young football players through specific incentives. This research does not aim to evaluate the performance of individual clubs, but rather to interpret changes in the regulatory and financial environment, laying the groundwork for a future empirical study on the trends in playing time for Hungarian and young Hungarian players in the first league.

AN EXAMINATION OF SPORT MENTAL TOUGHNESS AMONG INTERNATIONAL AND HUNGARIAN BASKETBALL PLAYERS
Views:604In our research, we compared the mental results of Hungarian basketball players to international averages. We examined the degree of mental toughness of the athletes who filled out the SMTQ questionnaire, whether they are motivated to achieve success, and whether they maintain their self-confidence (even despite occasional failures). Our goal was to indicate Hungarian athletes' mental strengths and weaknesses, thus helping the athletes' preparation. The aggregate mental toughness scores indicated that Hungarian basketball players are above the international average. Still, in terms of control, it is below average in certain age groups. The adult age group (over 18 years of age) is recommended to develop autonomy and responsibility and maintain self-control. It is necessary to improve the influence of their behavior, emotions, and self-regulation. Confidence scores assume that respondents believe in themselves and their successes. They have a positive attitude and a failure-averse attitude. Endurance results will likely be goal-oriented athletes who do not give up and can maintain their motivation.
