Process Innovation Tools and Strategies in Production Management
148-162Views:496The method of process innovation helps to recognize the opportunities in production processes that represent clear competitive advantage. Using it, up to 30% change is available in increasing productivity and in the reducing of costs, stocks, and lead times. There is no need for complicated methods in the process development. The power of logical, simple tools relies on the fact that everyone can learn, understand, apply them and give quick feedback about their operation. Significant changes have been made in today's possibilities of designing and operating production systems. The emergence of cyber physical systems, the opportunities offered by big data, and the "Internet of Things" (Internet of Things) have shown strong research potential for more efficient logistics and manufacturing systems. The potential of network co-operation, information gathered from tracing materials in production and communication between machines provide a wide-range of optimization opportunities for manufacturing processes. The toolkit presented in the research cannot only be used in direct production; almost all parts of the value creation process can be broken down into routine actions, so the causes of the problems can be analyzed and the development of the process’ parts can be easier implemented.

Framework of Industry 4.0 Technologies
213-223Views:1829The increasing competition and globalization have changed the micro- and macro environment of companies worldwide. The number 4.0 marks the fourth industrial revolution, bringing information technology and automation closer together leading to fundamental changes in production methods. It is not only about the penetration of technology but also about the paradigm shift in business processes. Industry 4.0 is becoming a daily reality for domestic companies as well, giving rise to the era of high-level interaction among production resources and different players. Industry 4.0 will transform the structure of production and change global competitiveness giving enterprises new opportunities to create added value. In my study I presented the concept of Industry 4.0, its framework and innovative technologies. I described the intelligent logistics solutions and the most important advantages of Industry 4.0. Essentially, the use of these tools include in addition to the explosive development of industry the digitalisation of the entire economy affecting society as a whole. It is of great importance that small and medium-sized enterprises also respond to new technological opportunities otherwise will significantly lagging behind in the digital transition.

Floodresc – Disaster Management in case of Flooding in the Hernad Watershed
181-187Views:270The aim of the Floodresc project is to develop a GIS based decision support system that can help the defense and rescue operations of the Disaster Management Directorate during any floods in the Hernád River. In the project, a geospatial database covering the entire river basin, a modeling application for predicting the extent of flooded areas in time, and a logistics model supporting defense-related transportation tasks will be developed.

Construction of Tourism Supply Chains Based on Consumer and Service Provider Responses
Views:424The tour operator wants to satisfy all the needs of those who want to travel at the highest possible level. Experiences related to planning and organizing trips are almost as important as the vacation or excursion itself. My study compares the characteristics of domestic and foreign trips based on the consumers responses. The comparison was done by the following points: time for preparations, the reservation process, getting to the selected destination, the hotel selection, or the duration of the journey. At the same time, the chain is completed with tourism service providers, whose cooperation is key to meet the needs of travellers, all in the common interest of the guest being satisfied when they return home.

Efficiency Analysis of Production Management System
401-415Views:393Due to the continuously evolving technology, even more escalating market competition has emerged between the companies. This competition is not only about the logistics related processes, it also appears to be significant for the production since the manufacturing companies form the center of global sale streams and without them the items found in logistical processes cannot be created. The role of production’s optimization and efficiency in the supply chain continuously grows since this is the part where a company’s most cost is produced. Our research objective was the examination of a company that applies various manufacturing, assembly technologies, and the used tools and softwares for this purpose were the SAP Business One ERP system and it’s add-on, called PPS One, the latter originated in Switzerland. We used these softwares to provide solutions to companies, especially to those that are dealing with manufacturing and production, for the optimization of their workflows, operations, supervising and controlling of their material. We also monitored from production technology’s elements the capacity planning, production orders, schedules, production tracking and cost accounting. We have made proposals during the analysis that might improve the company's strategy, competitiveness and increase it’s efficiency in business, and at the same time they can facilitate the company's pricing and inventory management activities.
